Haley Watkins is the Paranormal Police's latest rookie recruit. Tonight they're investigating a series of murders committed at the hands of a deranged monster.
Their investigation leads them to a faction known as the Vampire Dating Agency, a place where women and vampires meet to find love.
Haley's mission is to go undercover into the agency and lure out the supposed killer.
But of course even if she finds him, as hard as that may be - it's still going to be hard for her to turn him in...
Well, I'm sorry to say this was absolutely awful. It started off okay, and then stumbled drunkenly downhill. What started off as a supposedly academically top marked character, dives down to the depths of clueless stupidity. Never again!
Haley really never new how dangerous. the job could be. The author. left you with many unanswered. questions. But the telling of the story was excellent.
When 18 year old, Haley goes to start her new job she wasn't expecting her first assignment to be infiltrating the Vampire Dating Agency to look for a killer? Can she find the killer before he claims her as his next victim?
This book stArted off a bit slow but with every turn of the page it become stronger. I wanted, waited to know what Haley would do. I can't wait till the next book.
A whodunit mystery that will have you scratching your head
I need the second book in this series!!!
I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO HALEY!!
Okay, that out of the way....in this book you get to follow HALEY as she finds herself thrown into a new job that she wasn't expecting. Yes she's a paranormal investigator but she's stuck with a seemingly careless backup crew and a supervisor who could give two ***** what will happen to her. She has to figure a way to solve a mystery while facing against not only those things but vampires all around her. Yes it does end in a cliffhanger and it'll make you want more!!
This book wasn't really what I expected. Haley, a brand new graduate of the paranormal "police" training center gets pushed into a tough case on her first day. Haley in a tough vampire slayer, but she has no idea what she' gotten into. The characters need to be developed more, but there are four books in the series, but they seem interesting as of now. But it seems pretty far fetched to throw a rookie into a case on her own on day one. A lot of the story plays out that way..just not good scene development either. It was entertaining and a quick read. So I'll read the other books in the series too to see if we get some better details and background.
This was hard to follow as it jumped all over the place. I wasn't sure who the chapters represented until well into them which was frustrating. It got better and more focused towards the end. The plot could be developed more, expanded and would make for a good series. I'm curious as to where it goes next.
While I thought this book was alright, I'm still waiting for this series to make more sense to me. I thought for sure, that Haley would be a bit smarter considering all of the uproar over her test scores in school. I've got the second book, so fingers crossed she becomes a little more wise in the second book than she came across in the first one.
Except for the sometimes distracting typographical errors, the story itself was good. Didn't know I was getting into a cliffhanger book, and not a huge fan of those because I'm impatient and don't like waiting. Otherwise, the plot was good, well developed even if I had to suspend disbelief about the MO of the paranormal detective agency.
I'm giving four stars because while I did enjoy this book a whole lot there were some things that got a bit convoluted sometimes. It was an awesome book besides that and definitely had me interested in who could be the killer. I'm excited to read book 2 and find out more about what's going to happen with Haley & Brock now that she's been found out! Can't wait!
The premise was a good idea, but sadly it never reached it's potential. A teenager gets sent undercover to find a serial killer on her first day on the job, which her mother drove her to. Then it ends with a cliffhanger. Not for me.
I love hope this story unfolded. Innocent Haley off on a mission to find a killer, but did she find love along the way. And poor Jason, getting caught In the middle. I'm ready to find out so on to the next.
No character or story development. This book was all over the place, it made no sense and it was truly disturbing how a girl gives up her virginity to some vampire that she doesn't know and worse she's supposed to be investigating murders. Shame. Horrible. Garbage.
Poor Haley must find a killer before he finds her. But her cover has been blown and she had murdered a vampire to keep her secret covered. Plus she may be falling for one of the vampires in question
Hayley an eighteen year old having just graduated from school gets a job working for the Paranormal Investigating Agency. First job however is throwing her into the vampires society at the Vampire Dating Agency. What she finds exceeds her expectations especially for her first day on the job while looking for a killer.
