For twins Herbert and Wilbur Clark summers in the small town of Wann Oklahoma are filled with long days spent wandering dusty fields and swimming in the cool river. This summer the fun ends when a stranger purchases the abandoned house next door. Their new neighbor is a taxidermist and fills the creepy old house with stuffed African animals. When the boys hear the howling of wild animals coming from the neighbor’s house, they sneak over and peer into the old man's window. What they see gives them the shock of their lives, the stuffed animals seem alive! The stranger is intent on completing his “calling”. Herbert and Wilbur better figure out just what this “calling” is. And they better do it soon, the animals are getting hungry and twin boys are now on twin boys are on the menu!!
