Her manga debut was Be-Boy's 1995 release of "Groupie."
Recently she temporarily quit writing manga after a scandal involving her plagiarism of many magazine photographs.
According to The Yaoi Review (2009-12-31), she is back with a continuation of an ongoing manga to be released in English in February.

Cada tomo que leo, más me gustan Iwaki y Katou (en los primeros libros lo traducían por Kato...) y el dibujo me tiene embobadita perdida *.*

Oh, what a tear jerker book this time! The first half is sneaky Asano still trying to use Iwaki, creating paparazzi chaos between Katou and Iwaki. The second half is the real tear jerker. It's a period piece, Winter Cicadas, during the Meiji Era, where the new government is thwarting out the remaining Shogunate officials. It beautifully done, artwork and storytelling, such a tragic love story between two enemy soldiers.

This time couple is facing new threat in soon to be actor Asano. Yes, Iwaki is desired and Asano is not afraid to play dirty. However he failed so miserable and deserved all kicks he got.
Kato and Iwaki made lot of love and lot of angst like always.
The bonus point is for the samurai story called Winter Cicada, which is lately used as the movie in which Iwaki and Kato stared. Samurai story must be filled with angst, love, sex and of course seppuku. Great love is almost connected to great tragedy.

En un principio le iba a dar 4 estrellas y es que, aunque Kato e Iwaki me han parecido maravillosos y me ha gustado mucho la trama del nuevo manager que había empezado Nitta en el tomo anterior y termina aquí, lo que me ha hecho darle 5 estrellas es el capítulo que nada tiene que ver de la trama principal (bueno, en el final le ves el sentido y la relación). Me ha tocado el corazón y han sido tanto los feels que llorando estoy.
Está historia extra llamada en italiano (lo leo en ese idioma) Cicala d'inverno nos transporta a finales del siglo XIX, el final del Shogunato Tokugawa (antes del periodo Meiji) cuando Japón quería abrirse al exterior y desarrollarse como país moderno. En medio de la confrontación de los clanes contrarios al Shogunato y los partidarios de este, dos jóvenes samuráis de bandos opuestos se conocen. Con ideas similares sobre el no expulsar a los extranjeros y abrir el Japón con ayuda de los occidentales, y la excusa de aprender inglés, ambos pasan mucho tiempo juntos y el amor nace entre ellos. Pero la guerra es inevitable y, al final, no les queda más remedio que verse involucrados.
A mi parecer, esa historia que se marca Nitta es una maravilla. Un drama total de época que te llega al corazón y más con los diseños de personajes ya que son los mismos que Iwaki y Katou. Esto hace que el lector sienta más emociones al leerla, aunque me hubiera gustado igual y me hubiera dejado igual de vacío existencial si hubiera sido con otro diseño de personajes. Pero es que la cosa tiene trampa, y la elección de ellos no es casual sino que, al final, tiene todo el sentido del mundo.
Como siempre, enamorada de este manga y de Nitta que hace maravillas.

I really don't know why the artstyle is so wacky in the first few chapters but if you just get through the first 5-6 then it really changes for the better! Embracing love, especially if we take into consideration that it was written and illustrated back in 1999-2009, is a very well-written story, not perfect but very enjoyable! The main characters (Iwaki and Katou) really draw you in with their personalities and you just can't put the story down. Of course, you'll have to keep in mind that this is a yaoi so many explicit scenes are included.

En aquest volum es confirmen les sospites del Katou: el nou ajudant de l'Iwaki no és aigua clara i buscarà la manera de fer merder. La parella segueix ocupadíssima, amb unes agendes tan atapeïdes que gairebé no coincideixen, però malgrat l'escàndol muntat per l'ajudant, confien l'un en l'altre i s'estimen molt (amb esceneta de llàgrimes i sexe inclosa, marca de la casa). Després del drama, escapadeta a un onsen i converses anodines de parella. Molt bé ♥

Okay, back in the day, I loved this series. Why? Because gay. That’s literally the only reason I loved it, alongside a lot of other yaoi manga. But then, I got older, smarter, and learned some fucked up shit about life, and then, I returned to most of the yaoi manga I once read. And absolutely hated a lot of them.
All of them, that I ended up hating later in life, involved incest, toxic relationships, rape, borderline rape, slavery, underage, and cringe. You decide which of those fits best with this series.

January 28, 2013The last chapter "The Winter Cicada" , is a story that stays with you for a long time. Set during the Boshin wars, Kato's and Iwaki's characters must survive being in opposite factions, armed with a dream to live together in more peaceful times. Angsty and heartbreaking.

More jealousy and angst, but there are also a couple of very cute and sweet moments. I really liked the second story, "Winter Cicada" even though it kind of broke my heart.
