RAW: A Hannibal/Will Fanthology

Rate this book
An anthology tribute to the relationship between Will Graham & Hannibal Lecter, featuring over 200 pages of art, comics, and fiction.

RAW reflects the passion and excitement in the Hannibal fandom following the series' finale-- stunning not only because of its aesthetic and narrative brilliance, but because of the cultural significance of a critically acclaimed genre show choosing to move forward with a romantic relationship between same-gender main characters.

RAW is the first official publication of Bad Influence Press, a small press dedicated to fandom publishing. Inspired by the rich history of fandom publications, B/I Press organizes and publishes anthologies, art books, and short works of fandom literature and meta.

It is also the second fan-book organized, published, and fulfilled by Aimee Fleck, preceded by BROOKLYN, a Captain America fanzine which sold over 200 copies in online pre-order in September 2014.

to be clear, this is THE book. this is THAT motherfucking book. aimee fleck and company did THAT. i would probably literally kill a close friend for a copy of this book that i could hold in my arms. everything from the opening page on is genius. it all makes me want to like split in half and dissolve into some newfound creature of tears and yelling. like it's SO good. "pillow book of the chesapeake ripper" STILL, TO THIS DAY, is the single best short story i've ever read in my LIFE. like JUST TO BE CLEAR. this is THAT. FUCKING. BOOK. and if you like hannibal and haven't read it you are a crazy person who is missing the fuck out.

I'm not sure how I never ended up adding this to my shelves! I watched this fanzine grow from a drunken video Aimee sent me post-finale yelling "I'M DOING A ZINE!!!" to the glossy, beautiful work of art it is now, and I am VERY PROUD. also VERY SAD, because I love Hannibal, and this fanzine is absolutely friggin' gorg. 10/10 etc.

Not only do I consider myself lucky to have gotten my hands on a copy of this, I'd be lying if I said this was an unbiased review. This collection shows off the strength of not just great writers and artists, but plays with a visceral and visual series that is certain to please fans. Needless to say, if you have an opportunity to read through it, I suggest snatching up a copy.

There really aren't enough words for how much I loved this book. It was like being able to watch the show again (which, I think I will do...). Many of the stories took place after the Season 3 finale, which I think is something every Hannigram fan wants to see.

Lots of great stories and artwork, some pieces good enough I wish I could blow them up and put them on my wall. Except, they would probably scare both my children and any house guests. Suffice to say, if you are a 'Hannibal' fan, you will absolutely *devour* this book.

This was everything I had hoped it would be. Full of dark and twisted love stories written by talented people whose love of a show and its characters resulted in something that shall live on in the hearts of many.

I did not know what an OTP was before Hannibal/Will. Don't look at me.

I finished this back in January, back when I had time to actually savor it. It is a distinct delight to have one of your favorite pairings featured in such a beautiful book. The art work is fantastic and the stories themselves are some of the best Hannigram I've read. So happy to have backed this one on Kickstarter.
