This is the ninth book in the Psychic Visions series.
A woman is out wandering alone at night, running from someone, from a palpable darkness. There is chaos and confusion in her mind as well as blood on her person, she follows an unknown voice that she hopes she can trust and it leads her to the home of the psychic Stefan before she collapses. She doesn’t know it but she’s finally found a place where she can obtain the assistance that she needs, the medical profession has never been able to diagnose her problems, just helped her father keep her imprisoned.
Hannah Goodman, daughter of a rich businessman, has been sheltered for years by her father, under constant supervision for the strange episodes/blackouts that she suffers from, her mental stability in question. She never knows when they will occur, it is during one of these that she wandered into the path of Stefan. Was it coincidence or fate that she landed where she needed to be?
Dr. Trevor Johnson is a psychologist, energy worker and lawyer, also a friend of Stefan’s. The case of Hannah intrigues him and his legal skills will come in handy preventing her father from absconding with his patient and he’ll have to take extreme personal measures to do so. He’s worked hard to turn his life around and now helps those in need with his special gifts. He recognizes the raw psychic talent Hannah exudes but there is something seriously amiss. Can he figure out what is going on within her mind in time? It’s not long before he has more than a professional interest in the outcome of her case.
The human mind is a strange organ, it lets us function, and it can protect us from what we cannot deal with until the time arrives when we can. Within the psyche is the conscious and the subconscious, much of their workings unknown. Hannah is about to learn exactly what a mind can do, for her “necessity is the mother of invention”. She’s a complex character with much inner strength to have survived the turmoil inside for so long which was also showed in her sassy rebellious streak. Trevor was wonderfully supportive but with his eyes open, exhibiting the appropriate amount of doubt for the circumstances.
This was a wonderful psychic paranormal suspense read and an interesting study of the psychology of a fractured psychic mind. The visual imagery was fascinating, I could see in three dimensional graphics what the words portrayed. The storyline with its many twists and emotions held this reader in constant suspense especially with the added point of view of the unidentified villain(s). Fate also plays a hand in things, the universe seemed to be seeking to right itself, to correct what began in the past. It was good to see characters from the other books making cameo appearances. This book is a great addition to the series. The story ended at 95% on a kindle followed by a preview of the next book in the series.

Hannah, injured and confused, is literally stumbling along, unsure where she is and losing hope every time a car passes by without offering help. Something is telling her she needs to make it to her destination. Yet someone is assuring her she needs to run. Her feet are leading her there, yet she has no idea of who, or what, she'll find.
Hannah has spent too many years to count dealing with her Dad's version of love *cough cough smothering* and it's always the same routine. She escapes, she gets injured somehow, the hospital calls her Dad, she's transferred to the same Dr. that eventually releases her to her Dad, and repeat. But this time, she may actually get away. The house she just had to make it to? It belonged to Stefan.
Stefan, for once not knowing what exactly is going on, or what could happen, asks his friend, Trevor, for help. Trevor, a Doctor, among other things, also has special abilities and is at once intrigued and feeling connected to the mysterious woman. He's not sure what to make of the connection, but he knows something is going on between them.
Who, or what, is it that watches over Hannah? Why is their mission to finish her, instead of helping her? What is the connection to Hannah that has them resistant to finishing their task? How does this person know Stefan? Why is her Dad so determined to see her committed? What lengths is Trevor willing to go to to protect Hannah? Will Hannah trust Trevor enough to accept his idea? Will their plan evolve into something real? Will these two get a HEA?
One-click now to find out how two strangers brought together by unique circumstances learn how something so unexpected can lead to a bright future full of things they believed they may never experience. While this book is part of a series, I feel you could easily read this as a standalone without feeling lost. However, I do recommend reading the books in order as previous characters are sometimes mentioned throughout each subsequent story, and one character in particular is connected in some way to each book's couple.

Amazing, thrilling, suspense and mysteries. Shattered is a packed story full of mystery and is beautifully written. Its a jig saw puzzle and only when all the pieces are put together you find out the hidden twist and who the bad guys are.
Hannah is a women who is believed to be mentally ill due to her black out and short memory. Not realizing their is more that is going on. Hannah craves her freedom and is willing to do any think to get it. Not knowing her past or what her triggers are. Hannah goes is pretty much clueless to who she is and what her personality is.
Trevor is a physic that helps people as well as being a lawyer to protect his clients. He doesn't take well to bullies nor does he like the innocence being victimized. Willing to help Hannah out no matter the cost while trying to find out what started these black outs.
With the time ticking, and more problems popping up. Hannah needs her memories more then ever if she wants to find the truth before its to late. Old friends and new problems start to appear.
This story is brilliant and definitely worth reading.
Received this as an arc in exchange for an honest review.
If you've never read one of the books in the Psychic Visions series be prepared. Some of the psychic explanations can get a little bit out there but if you can follow everything it comes together pretty well. This installment featured Trevor who is a psychic therapist and a lawyer along with Hannah. Hannah has a history of blackouts and her father keeps putting her into mental hospitals after each episode. Hannah just wants her freedom but really can't function on her own because these blackouts can last for days. Hunted by her father, his guards and an unknown mental situation, Hannah ends up meeting Trevor in the hospital. Can she trust him when he proposes marriage within hours of meeting just to escape her father? This was a good story with a surprising twist as to who was behind Hannah's problems.

I liked this! It was definitely one of the more exciting plot twists with the MCs' relationship intertwined with the antagonist(s). Trevor was an interesting love interest, strong and mysterious with all these tools on his belt to be the perfect handy man for Hannah's problems.
Hannah's inability to remember when her blackouts occurred was another intriguing factor to add to the series, a psychic problem we'd yet to experience with this author. I liked the way it was written, the way it flowed with the two different MCs. The romance was a slow budding that took the backseat to Hannah's immediate dangers.
WOW Dale Mayer has done it again .......The way the book grabbed me right from the first few lines was amazing ( so well written)... Fast paced with brilliant twists and turns but with out getting confused ...The books in this series give you a paranormal view which I love so much. The characters are so in depth with amazing gifts I enjoy getting to know each ones in each book....Dale always explains each of them well so you can read this as a stand alone however your be missing out of some brilliantly written books......
I would have given this one a 5 star. How is Stefan partners name not being addressed by everyone? Her name in book 7 is Celina Wilton not Mina. That really bothered me thru the whole book. Other than that the book was another great one that I enjoyed a lot with the exception of when "Mina" was mentioned.
After showing up on Stefan's doorstep bloody and believing him to be dead, Hannah wakes in the hospital. She's not certain how she got there but knows it's only a matter of time before her father finds her and locks her up again. She doesn't want it to happen but knows it's inevitable, her father always gets his way.
Stefan is intrigued because Hannah's energy is coiled so tightly against her and not just anyone can get to his home. He calls in Dr. Trevor Johnson, a psychologist who works with energy, and also a lawyer which will come in handy in this case. After an initial greeting and then being dismissed by Hannah when the nurse arrives. From the hallway they watch as Hannah devours the food, but its once she's done that they see it a dark shadow, a someone they need to identify.
When Hannah's father shows up, Trevor immediately steps in to prevent him from moving Hannah. He does take this a bit to the extreme though and I have to admit it was brilliant. With Stefan and Celina as witnesses, Trevor marries Hannah which overrides her father's wishes.
Life for Trevor and Hannah gets very interesting as they discover with Maddy's help, large blocks in her mind. Some were old but others were newer. Her father also brings Trevor's past to the fore, one he's already proved his innocence in, it just makes things annoying.
Stefan also hints at Trevor and Hannah having history together, but Trevor can't imagine where or when he might have met her before.
There's something that happens with Hannah that is unique and as she begins to break down the barriers in her mind it is even more apparent.
Plenty of suspense, some interesting interactions with her father's henchman Will and a revelation that will wrap everything up very nicely.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series, it's on my TBR pile and I really want to catch up on this series before the new book in January.
Protected and caged by her father for most of her life after doctors can't diagnose what is wrong with her, Hannah keeps trying to escape. When she is caught again lawyer and psychic Trevor offers her a very unique way out - the question is should she trust him and if he finds out the truth will he still be on her side? From his own side, Trevor has been trying to make up for all he did wrong in his youth, so when he gets the opportunity to help a talented waif he jumps at the chance not realising what will be asked from him. As time runs out for them, can they identify their enemies, escape them and come out of the other side?
This was a great story that had many layers of mystery, drama and danger as Hannah and Trevor tried to work their way through all the threats to her as well as teaching her about her own psychic abilities. I liked the twists and turns in the story which meant that you could not predict what was going to happen at the end. They made a great couple and I was thrilled that they were able to defeat those who would threaten them so they could have a happy life together. Well written this story was easy to understand as well as addictive as I got further and further into the story.
The last chapters were the best because Hannah took back total control of her mind. Impressive psychic powers. I really enjoyed her making them pay for abusing her psychically all those years. Trevor was a support for her but I never really got a good picture of who he was. I always love Stephan sightings but was confused about the change in his wife’s name from Celina to Mina. I also wish that now that Stephan has a mate she should have been someone strong like him so that she could have helped him with saving all that’s people. Lissa was a stronger better character for him even though I know she was only seventeen and died. It would have been great if her character had not died but was just in a coma.
Trevor may be an experienced energy worker but even he, Stefan and Maddy are stunned by what they see when Hannah stumbles into their lives. A complex puzzle of greywalking, mind blocks, secret identities, energy stalking, evil henchmen, power surges and a mind that literally splinters before their eyes. And throughout it all Trevor is Hannah's rock, supporting her, calming her, protecting her and loving her. It is creepy, mind blowing, gripping and will leave you reeling, a fantastic read.
Hannah and Trevor might have the fastest marriage ever. The story follows a suspenseful story of two lives that had met briefly before and are now back and relying on each other to solve questions, survive and live happily ever after.
I figured out part of the ending on my own, but not all of it. The use of psychic powers evolved again and this book included several series favorites. Fast paced and fun to read I can’t wait for the next book!
I absolutely adore this series. You get to know and love the characters and they appear in following books so you keep getting glmpses of their lives. Stefan is the coolest of course! The best thing about this Psychic visions series is that it keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat until the very end.
I'm definitely going to try some of the other series as well.
Can't read these books fast enough. Love the concept, characters and every story has me wanting more. I am now reading book 10 and know I am hooked on these books and always looking forward to the next one in this series. Highly recommend it you enjoy psychic abilities, mystery thrillers and romance. Great reads👍
I tried to get back into this series, and managed to finish with a lot of skipping. I won't be reading further though. Same issues as in other books - to must description of how everyone has psychic abilities and too little time spent on character development. Absolutely no suspense and a 2-page wrap at the end to get the bad guys.
Shattered gives new meaning to finding the pieces in the puzzle!
A mystery within a fractured mind that ties into the past, present, and future! Until all the pieces are exposed, the future may not become a reality! Another unexpected and imaginative addition to a series worth keeping! Don't miss it!
well into ch5 and still bored. then I decide to give it up.. come over here to take off my list and see it not the first but the ninth book. that prolly has a lot to do with why I'm lost and bored.
An intriguing concept that Dr Maddy and Stefan had never seen. To protect herself Hannah kept her aura tightly around her, so thin was it even there. When threatened she shattered herself and put up blocks after blocks. Father who had lost much institution her, and doing what he knows, is making money. A cry out and she is runnIng an able to break through the energy protective walls of Stefan place, which no one had done before. Well done.
I received an author’s copy of this book and in return I will give a honest and fair review.
Once again Dale hits our shelves with yet another amazing book. This series is one of my favourites and I have read each book numerous times.
This story is very involved and I found myself going back to certain pages as I was just blown away by the complexity of the plot.
Shattered explores the world of Hannah, can you imagine living your life and them poooof pieces of it are erased from your memory , its almost like your brain has imploded and is starting from scratch again. The story opens with Hannah seeking out our main man Stefan and in turn Stefan calls in Trevor to assist him (Trevor is our leading man in this book), Now Trevor is a man of many talents psychologist, energy worker and lawyer, and they way he helps Hannah is to offer her a way out, a way to escape the life her father and his men have imposed upon her. Hannah has a gift that I would never have thought about and Dale has done an extraordinary job in bringing us the details of the said gift. I could picture exactly what was going on with Hannah through Dales description and I can honestly say that I doubt I would have the strength or fortitude to survive the metal anguish that Hannah suffers. I loved the descriptions of the walls in her mind and how she breaks them down. I love the fact that Trevor was there to help her fight both in her physical and mental wars.
One thing I absolutely adored about this book was the amount of Maddy time we had in it, Maddy is my favourite character in this series (along with Stefan) and it was good to see that Maddy’s floor is still playing an important part to this series.
Sometimes the hardest fight we fight are the demons in our heads, the physical opponent is so much easier to defeat than that dark menacing portion of the brain that wants to harm us is so much more physically and mentally tiring.
This is a series that I will never tire of and I can’t wait to see what else Dale has in store for us.
