This is book 8 in the Sweet Cove Cozy Mystery series. Although the main mystery is solved in each story, the books should be read in order to enhance your enjoyment as some story threads run from book to book.

4.75 stars Sweet Friend of Mine, the 8th book in the Sweet Cove Mystery series, is a magical delight. This cozy mystery not only has interesting family and friend dynamics with varied characters, but also intriguing mysteries.
Sweet Friend of Mine is surprisingly heartbreaking and heart-warming in equal measure. This mystery has more emotional impact than previous books due to the content of the crime. A young man, overall good guy, friend and budding musician has a car accident one night after visiting with a buddy. While on a call to his parents for help, the line goes dead and he seems to vanish into thin air.
This is a sad story, but it is balanced by the presence of two insightful furry felines, four caring sisters and the ever-present, kind-hearted Mr. Finch. The magical elements add an enchanting component to this mystery series and make each addition a joy to read!
It has been a while since I had read a book in this series. I didn't realize I was 3 books behind. I was pleasantly reminded how much I enjoy the characters in this series. I was about 70% sure I knew who the killer was and in the end I was right. I can't wait to read the next two books in the series.
I have really enjoyed each one of the mysteries in this series. The mysteries are well thought out and unique from each other while still maintaining the overall story of the sisters, felines, Mr. Finch, and their love interests. Book number 8 and the author did not seam to lose enthusiasm for her characters or run out of fun stories for them.
I really like the characters in series. I look forward for the next book in this series to be available to read. Please continue with your great writing. I enjoy all your books.
As usual, the Roseland sisters are at it again. Just as they are about to leave on a well deserved & very anticipated vacation, someone goes missing and the police chief needs their special assistance, along with Mr. Finch and the two cats. Of course!
What can I say? Reading this series is like catching up with old friends. I cant wait to see what the sisters and Mr Fitch get into next! I hope their "powers" develop and talked about more!!
This was one of the better volumes in this story, I liked that the mystery had more the the usual number of suspects and that the story moved a couple of other lines that run threw the series. I will have to wait now for the next in the series to come out!
This book kept me guessing until about the last chapter. I'm so happy for Angie .
I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a good mystery and a romance with no sex. Read all 8 books in the series and find out what's in store for the sisters.
Once again, she's brought out another brilliant Cozy Mystery. Just got it today, finished it in 3 hours. Now I can get to sleep, it's 2:30 in the morning.
I hope this isn't the last book. This is the best series I've read in awhile. I love a good mystery and the closeness of friends and family. Cool cats.
The entire time I’m reading this I’m thinking of a real life case very similar to that in the story. The real life story is about Brandon Swanson, but Swanson is still missing to this day. In this book, the young man who goes missing is named Ryan Allen. Allen is actually found and the answers as to why he goes missing lie on the shoulders of four sisters with mild newly discovered supernatural abilities, two very smart human-like cats, and the sisters good friend Mr. Finch.
This is a cute series and if you want something to read that is a quick read and not too heavy for the empath, this 21 book series is for you. It is from the viewpoint of Angie who was willed an 18 room Victorian home by her great aunt. Angie’s the sisters live in the home with her. Angie is a baker and has a bake shop built into the home. Jenna is Angie’s fraternal twin and makes and sells jewelry online and out of the house. Courtney is a co-owner of a candy shop and apprentice to Mr Finch who has been making candy for decades. Then there’s Ellie who seems to be the most powerful of all the sisters as far as her supernatural abilities. Ellie can manipulate objects with her mind (telekinesis). Ellie is also the least resistant of the sisters of embracing her special abilities. She fears what she may be capable of doing.

This book has great depth and can easily make one’s heart hurt.
A promising young man is missing and presumed dead. The Sisters put their holiday on hold to help the Chief of Police with the case.
There are leads, suspects but nothing solid. The author uses vivid imagery to paint pictures of him and how much he cared for others. You really can get caught up in this story feeling as if your were there helping to find him.
The Carriage House is well on its way to being complete and Jenna and Tom will be able to decide If they want to live there until their own house is renovated.
With the ending of the book, the Sisters are again planning on their skiing holiday and this time they plan on taking the cats with them!
Chief Martin comes over to tell them he has a missing person, they received a call from Bob Allen. His son called, his car had gone off the road and was stuck. His parents went to look for him didn't find him and he's still not home. Chief asks is the girls, Mr. Finch and the cats can come to accident site, they found his car. Circe finds a ring by front tire. Henry is shown the ring that was found, he says it's Ryan's ring, his mom gave it to him. Ryan's best friend comes to B&B wants to stay there. Ryan's old girlfriend from high school is in town also. Lots of suspects. Good story and characters. Love how the cats fit into the stories.
Aw this was a bit sad. I still found it a great book, but
I still adore seeing the sisters and Mr. Finch just having game nights and spending time together. Alongside the mystery are details of their lives peppered in that give such a cosy feeling.

The circumstances behind the young man’s disappearance remain completely hidden from readers until the end of the book. Boy, was i surprised! Added to the tension is Josh’s secretive behavior. Those of us who have been reading from the first book in the series were quite worried, but we will not reveal if we needed to be! Enjoy, but be forewarned that the tone throughout is heavy sadness. It’s still definitely worth reading.
Time for a Review I have read the first eight of the Sweet Cove Cozy mysteries and have been delightfully entertained. The characters evolve with each book, yet remain true to their nature. I am a fan of paranormal fiction so these books have been a treat. The mysteries themselves are intriguing and not easily solved. In only one have I been able to determine the murderer before the reveal. Highly recommended!
A missing person then a murder was keeping the family and their two fine felines from a much-needed ski trip. But these sisters, Mr. Finch and the cats are such awesome people that they're always putting others first. They're definitely the kinds of friends anyone would love to have. I'm sure Chief Martin's grateful for them every time he has to make "the call."
The showdown was pretty epic with Angie and Jenna both at the scene once Angie realized whodunit. Sister/twin power! Hopefully everyone really did get to go on that ski trip once this was done!
Book eight in this series. I strongly advise reading them in order. The books build on past events and hint of future happenings that are completely lost on the reader joining the series at this point. The plot that underlies this story aside, this installment is simple and straightforward. Enjoy.
This is such a charming series. I love the characters, both two-- and four-footed; they have such loving interactions. The mystery was done well with finely placed red herrings to distract and interest the reader, and the sprinkling of romance did not detract from the main storyline. This was an emotional, enjoyable read.
I enjoyed reading more about the four sisters, two cats and their friend, Mr Finch. A search for a missing young man starts and they get roped into it. I like the cats who are very vocal at times, especially when they need to alert the sisters. More characters have been added, which means more mysteries.
Love these cozy mysteries! The sisters, cats, and Mr Finch are learning to handle their special powers, finding the evil doers who are doing evil deeds, and solving mysteries at the same time. What a delightful series! So, curl up in a comfy chair with one of these books and a cup of tea and enjoy!
I enjoyed reading this book in the Sweet Cove Series. A young man goes missing and the police chief ask the young ladies for help. There are plenty of suspects. Can they find the missing young man in time, or are they too late? Read the book to find out. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
I am so glad that Kindle recommended your books to me. I have been enjoying reading Cozy Mysteries for 2 years now. I like the characters in the stories and of course the cats. I enjoy books that don’t need too many characters to pull off a good mystery. The happy ending with the new resort owner was a plus. Robert Ericksen
Another great Sweet Cove of Mystery Book by J.A. Waiting. Love all the characters in this series, and especially the feline characters. This book was especially good and kept me wanting to finish the book to get to the ending.
This one certainly was a tear jerker. It just seems that sometimes life just doesn't work out the way you want it to. Alan in all though this book was another winner. Needless to say I really like the books.
I am sorry,I am hooked on this series.I am having a reading marathon. Each book adds a little to the overall story, greatly enhancing my overall enjoyment. This book is recommended for those that love cozy mysteries.
