När Ben hittar ett kodat meddelande i sin pappas plånbok blir det inledningen på ett nytt äventyr för Ben, Hilde och Maja. En liten fiskeby i Norge hotas av de tyska nazisterna och de enda som har möjlighet att varna dem är motståndsgruppen Svarta rosorna. Uppdraget för dem återigen över den norska gränsen och in i fiendeland, där faror lurar överallt och där de inte kan lita på någon. Det blir deras farligaste resa någonsin och när allt är över har de tre vännernas liv för alltid förändrats.

Last book done! And WOW! What an ending! Talk about upping the stakes in this one!
In the previous books they’ve rescued individuals and/or families. In this one they’re going to rescue AN ENTIRE VILLAGE from the nazis! And this story takes place at the end of the war, so to say the nazis are even crazier and crueler is a bit of an understatement.
This village is further in Norway, so the journey to get there is more dangerous and harder than the previous journeys they’ve made. They run into both friends and foes on the way. And they see the cruel actions of the nazis face on. The boy in the group is a jew and has lost family members in the concentration camps, so he knows first hand. But the girls haven’t seen it face on, which they do here. And that does change them. And the HORRIFIC things happening in the ending, well… That changes them.
This really is the scariest of the four. And I asked kiddo several times if she thought it was too much, too scary. And she kept saying no. So apparently it works from age 9½ and up.
Kiddo pretty much wrapped up our feelings when I asked what SHE thought about the book: It was good! It was SUPER THRILLING! And I loved it!
Yep. I agree with her. Camilla Lagerquist did one HELL OF A JOB with these books! Can not recommend them enough!

väldigt spännande bok!

Fartfylld och äventyrlig sista del då "Svarta rosorna" återigen beger sig till Norge för att hjälpa till.
Tycker dock att det var nog med fyra delar då ungdomarna fortfarande är i yngre tonåren och på sätt och vis rymmer iväg till ett annat land ännu en gång.
Kriget börjar närma sig slutet och tyskarna känner sig pressade så det är en synnerligen svår knipa de måste försöka ta sig ur.
Ett tragiskt men trovärdigt slut på serien.
