The Sherwood Wolves #3

Shadow Creatures

Rate this book
It's just one week.

For one week, my Alpha father is forcing me to stay at the compound and date the werewolf he wants me to end up with.

How much could really go wrong in a week? I'm only pretending to give it a real chance.

I'm in control of the situation. I decide who I want to be with.

It's not like I'm going to fall in love. You can't fall in love when you're already in love.

Besides, the benefits outweigh the risks. After I pretend to give him a chance for one week, I can leave my father's pack of wolves.

Jax and I can finally be together, even if there is a chance that being together will kill us both.

Well, that's if Jax doesn't die in some other way first.

One of the Shade has made it clear he wants to kill him, and even worse, he's using a werewolf Hunter as his Host.

I need to warn Jax that his life is in serious danger.

LOVE! This is such a great new series from this duo! I love all of their books, especially the werewolves genre! Just as good as the first two books. Five glittery stars!

Incohesive

You can tell two people are writing this series. There is no cohesiveness to this series. First, “we always get one beautiful year” and then “I usually die within a month of our first kiss”? Then there is the orange Jeep that magically changes into a sports car. How did they magically find a day between Saturday and Sunday? Hmmm? Roxy’s party was on Saturday. She was due at her father’s on Sunday. She arrived on Sunday with an extra day in-between Saturday and Sunday. I want an extra day. Wolf hunters are introduced with Roxy being one. Yet they just dangle that like a leg of a butchers cow dangling from the body by a threaded tendon. It’s there and goes nowhere. Then Logan enters the picture and put Blair in danger and again nothing.

Then there is Grace. Who didn’t see
that coming from a mile away. Really ladies? Ugh!

Camryn and Jax. Let me just tell you, she should have walked away when he slept at another woman’s home. Okay! Period the end. He left her to be kidnapped. I don’t care if that worked out, sort of. Also, who in their right minds would go towards their kidnapper? She is the blonde in every horror movie.

😒
No.

Don’t.

Don’t go into the forest at night alone. Don’t.
😒

Oh my, she dead. Shocked I tell you.

I really hate my OCD. I can’t not finish what I started, so now I must finish this series. 12 books and I am only at book 3!

One of the most frustrating heroines I've ever encountered... This entire plot contained little to no logic. The heroine made stupid decision after stupid decision, never asked any questions, knew she was in dangerous situations yet never did anything to learn to protect herself, never kept people she supposedly trusted were on her side apprised of potentially life-threatening issues, and was ridiculously wishy-washy and immature at every turn. Not to mention just believing nearly every single thing anyone told her, no questions asked. Stupid stupid stupid.

Case in point, she is set to attend her sister's wedding reception (which she insists on, despite repeated warnings about how dangerous her being there was for her), that she has been told will include more than 1600 werewolves, two from each bloodline. And that no one else is allowed - no other werewolves allowed, and absolutely no humans. And yet, she somehow decides she can sneak her human best friend in, that no one will notice (though werewolves have said they can smell her from blocks away) - and that she will somehow be SAFER there! What!? Gah...

The first two books were a little frustrating, but nothing like this one. Buyer beware!

A solid 3 stars. Could have been 4 if the Heroine did not frustrate me so much. She made ridiculous decisions and placed herself in danger knowing that she is not able to fight or defend herself at all. I couldn't keep track of all different wolves staring her down at night and not knowing who they are. I'm still waiting to find out from book 1, the person dressed in black watching her through her window. Or maybe I missed that part as I skimmed alot through the chapters. Not many questions were answered at the end of the book.

Wow just wow! Another fantastic book! Camryn is forced by her Father she just met into dating another guy for a week he chose. Jax who Camryn is really in love with is watching the side lines hoping she doesn't fall in love with this other guy. Camryn is always thinking of Jax and her friends to really give this guy a chance. She thinks this guy is a good person and very nice. So will Camryn go with this guy her day chose or would she stick with Jax? Let you find out.

Ok

I enjoyed the story except the fact that I felt the authors had her always thinking what if or am I crazy for thinking this.... It's ok to use this some but I felt it was way over used. Other that that it was ok

Frustrating

That Camry frustrated me so many times in this book! all her decisions pissed me off so much i could myself yelling at her in frustration, what the check was she doing with all the clues about what her father was up to and acting like no buggy about her disturbing drugged I would have done something and told her mom that zoe was in trouble and i sure as check would not be dating someone else being in love with her mate! So many wrongs she let happen it scarring me on what happen at the end. Grace?do what?!
