Kozav found his mate and then he lost her. Now it’s time to hunt…

Grace Hall is a nurse, not a doctor. But when five Preor warriors are brought to the emergency room and the doctors don’t do a darn thing for them, she steps forward. Sure, they are aliens with massive wings who turn into dragons whenever they wish, but they still look human-ish. One particular warrior draws her more than the others. His teal wings, muscular body, and pain-glazed eyes have her bouncing between two desires—needing his touch and desperation to heal him. When she’s filled with the knowledge to treat the males, Grace gets to work. She’s going to save the Preor males, even if it kills her. When she loses consciousness after healing them, she realizes it just might.

Kozav sen Aghin, Primary Warrior of the Preor Third Fleet, wakes weaker than a hatchling on the Preor battleship. He’s fully healed yet plagued by a feeling that something is wrong. And something is… Kozav found his mate on Earth and she was left behind—alone and unprotected. Unacceptable. Kozav still carries the guilt for his actions during the great conflict and he is determined not to fail so greatly again. The curvaceous, green-eyed, dark haired human female is his to protect, his to claim and his to keep.

When danger intrudes and someone attempts to take Grace from his life, Kozav is prepared to do whatever it takes to bring Grace back to his side. Even if it means killing one of his own. Or will it be Kozav with a sword through his chest? For Grace’s sake, he hopes not.

Good edition to the series! I liked Kovaz and how he treated Graces mother....

These guys almost all have sad histories...

But this hero was still a bit unlikeable for me.

The Preor Warriors have arrived on Earth (dragon shifters), but not everyone is happy to have them their even some of the Preor don’t want to be their.

Grace is a nurse, overworked, and underpaid. She’s stubborn, cares about her mom, and is doing everything to keep her and her mother together. Kozav is a Preor Warrior.

Grace was easy to like and relate too. She’s kind and devoted to her sick mother. Kozav is slighty clueless when it comes to human females, but he tries. These two where a great couple. I like that they took time to know each other and didn’t give into the insta-lust/love. Their romance is budding and growing without being forced. Their’s also a little action to keep things entertaining.

I’m enjoying the Dragons of Preor series. They may be short and quick, but they pack a lot into them.

I enjoy sci fi romance from time to time and this fun and sexy series just makes me smile. The Preor Warriors that have arrived on Earth are dragon shifters but not everyone is happy with the way they are integrating with humans. On a planet that would have died without alien technology and help you would think they would be revered but no funnily enough that's not exactly the case and when several of the Preor are injured they don't exactly get the medical help you would expect!
Grace is a nurse, overworked , underpaid and yes you get the idea! However she's not about to standby and ignore the Warriors brought in who clearly need medical help. Ok they have wings, are truly beautiful with unique coloured skin but what does anyone human really know about their physiology ? Actually it just so happens that Grace seems to know what to do but why is that do you think? Oh , well maybe it's what the Preor call "the knowing", when mates meet but if so then Grace is about to discover a whole new world!
I think it would be impossible not to like Grace as she is hard working, kind and pretty devoted to her sick mother. Kozav due to recent events has been promoted and is determined to do his best for his people. What he hadn't expected was to find he has a mate who wants nothing more than to return to Earth! Oh Grace has good reasons and Kozav is quickly onboard with helping her but his slightly clueless ideas when it comes to human females see him doing things he thinks a warrior shouldn't do. Protect Grace at all costs yes that's what Kozav wants to do but it's not going to be as easy as he hoped!
I liked that Grace and Kozav took time to know each other and didn't just give in to instant lust. There's a budding relationship here that's allowed to grow without being forced due to hormones which actually worked much better I thought. Favourite character has to be Graces mum Donna and I'd have quite liked to see more of her. However reading about Kozav changing into his dragon form and risking all for Grace was without a doubt my absolute favourite part of this story, sigh. Yes most of the book is on two legs but when those dragons come out to play or fight it's a glorious thing and I'd dearly love to see more !
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review

This made for a fast paced sci-fi alien romance. I really liked the heroine in this book. Also, the side story about the heroines mother was a nice touch. The story flowed well and I will check out the next book in this series. I'm also glad it was offered as a kindleunlimited.

This was the best one yet, I'm glad I stuck around to get to it. It gives me hope going forward with the series, but I do have a feeling these books are going to be really hit or miss, but I guess we'll see.
I really liked Kozav, he was funny, though I'm pretty sure it wasn't intentional. But he has some good lines and inner-monologue. Grace was independent and capable, and she had a great sense of humor. She kept her snark and mouth through it all, too. I can appreciate that. Her mom might have had some of the best moments though, I really did like where her little storyline went.
Like I said earlier, I'll most likely keep going with the series. Though I may jump over and try a few Ujal before going on to the next Preor book. Almost entirely because of this story though. I remember liking Jarek's book, but honestly it was too long ago to remember much. I really didn't care for Taulan's either way. But I know for sure that if Kozav would have been a flop I would be parting ways. Hopefully the next one will hold up.

It was hard not to like this story about a dragon warrior and his human mate! Kozav is everything you would want in a scary, badass dragon shifting alien. Grace was the perfect blend of feisty heroine who has been dealt a rough lot in life and needed that "prince charming" like Kozav in her life. I enjoyed this one so much more than book one, which I recently read. I'm glad I took a chance on trying one more by the author. 4.5 stars

Love this world

Can't get enough of this series. I love the world that has been created and I love all the different mates that have found each other. The newest couple are Grace and Kozav. Both have had pain in the past but they are stronger because of their troubles. I admire their determination. Grace is working two jobs and taking care of her ill mother. She sees him after he and some other warriors get into an motor accident and are sent to the hospital where she works as a nurse. The Knowing allows Grace to be able to take care of their injuries despite doctors telling her not to. Very good story.

These books really don't have much to them... but that's why I like reading them. Sometimes that is exactly what I need when I am having an off day. Just a short little fluff book with a hunky protecting alien. And that is exactly what I needed today. So I liked this one.

Kosav has found his mate, but she's not the docile woman he thought she'd be and he's having a hard time....

Within minutes of starting to read, I was totally immersed in 'Kozav', the third and latest in the Dragons of Preor series of stand alone sci-fi romances by Celia Kyle, one of my all-time favourite authors. I thought I'd just read a few pages before getting on with the day, and I was up to chapter eleven before I realised it and I really didn't want to stop reading this action packed and sometimes heartbreaking story. I love this series of full-length novels about the shape-shifting dragons who, in desperation to save their dying race, have come to Earth in search of mates. The vast majority of their female population was killed centuries ago when a virus created by the enemy was released using the dragon's fire at the beginning of the war known as the Great Conflict, and the few that survived were left barren. Now the Preor Third Fleet is in orbit above Earth and having negotiated with Earth's government through the Ujal, they've established a base known as Preor Tower in Tampa, Florida, not far from Ujal Station Tau. But, not all of the Preor warriors are in favour of mating with Earth women, and the rebels continue to demonstrate their stupidity by raising havoc on the fleet's flagship.

Kosav sen Aghin, Primary Warrior of the Third Preor Fleet is out flying with four of his brethren when three hovobikes invade their airspace, crashing into them and causing some major injuries. Not knowing what to do, the E-Meds took everyone, Preor and human, to the Emergency Room at East Fortuna Medical, causing chaos and leaving the Preor without medical assistance when the doctors refuse to treat them. Kosav wakes up on the ship, his injuries healed but suffering from a planet sized headache, and sure that something is missing, but no idea what, until he works out that the pain is being caused by The Knowing, a complete race history that hits Preors and their mates when they find each other. Now he not only has to find his mate, but he needs to work out who she is first and sets off for East Fortuna Medical to begin his search before they both go insane.... or worse.

Having had another tough night looking after the sick mother she loves without reservation and would do anything for, avoided yet another fun run-in with her lecherous and slimy creep of a boss at her second job with the Intergalactic Mating Agency, human nurse Grace Hall also heads up the Emergency Room nursing team at East Fortuna Medical, and starts her shift by running headlong into the chaos, immediately assessing the situation and directing her team to deal with the injured Preor. Checking each one, when she gets to the last in the line, she suddenly has all the knowledge and skills to treat them, so she carries on, performing surgery to save their lives whilst fighting off the speciest doctors who will only treat the humans and sidelining all questions, most of them her own, about her sudden acquisition of the Preor knowledge until she gets to the last one, and swaying with exhaustion by the time the Preor Healers arrive to take over, she promptly passes out...

That's when things really start to go wrong, and without giving spoilers, it's a rocky road they travel, each trying to overcome the self-imposed guilt they live with and learning to trust each other before getting their happily ever after, but it's not easy when two strong willed people, one a dominant hero and the other an independent and feisty woman, clash, over and over again, before reaching some sort of compromise. This book is packed with action and humour, a few bad guys from the slimy creep and speciest doctors, to the totally insane rebels, and a fabulous cast of characters many of which have appeared in the previous books. I absolutely loved Donna and was so pleased for her I cried a few happy tears, no, I'm not going to give spoilers, you'll just have to read the book. There are some sizzling encounters between our hero and heroine, as well as some not so nice bad guy stuff including a fair few bruises, and a kidnapping with murder in mind but as always with Celia Kyle's books, it comes complete with a happy ending and not just for Grace and Kozav.

I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review and I really wish I could give it more than the 5 stars I'm limited to. I absolutely loved it and it's definitely on the list of books I'd save if the house was burning down. I can't wait for the next one in this terrific series.

I absolutely love this series. We are dealing with the Preor Dragons, a race that is just discovering that they can find mates among humans. Unlike the Ujal, among the Preor there are still those that are opposed to mating with humans, claiming that they are unworthy and will weaken their race.

Kosav, Primary Warrior on a ship of the Preor has lost all his people, including his family on his home planet, but he has prepared himself to be worthy of a mate when he finds her. He is fortunate to find one, but has lost her just as fast. Now he must return to earth in search of the one the Knowing has chosen for him.

Grace Hall has dedicated her life to taking care of her ailing mother and when she is wisked away from earth by a preor dragon warrior claiming she is his mate, she can't argue the truth of it, but is not willing to abandon her mother because of the pull she feels towards the teal colored alien. Thus begins a battle of wills, stubborness and those opposed to the joining to humans.

Celia Kyle has a way of pulling you into her stories and this one is no different than the others.

Love Beyond The Stars

Grace was the only nurse brave enough to care for five peor warriors. It's during this treatment that Kozav discovers that his mate is Grace. No peor warrior leaves his mate unprotected and returns to earth to retrieve her. Kozav has a lot to learn about earth women. The first thing he learns is that earth women are not compliant. If they think you are doing something wrong they will get in your face and set you straight. The Romance between them doesn't run smoothly. Peor males have no sense of humor. Earth slang is completely strange to them. They take everything at face value. Kozav and Grace have to deal with a crew member that doesn't approve of their union. It doesn't matter if you're human, peor or even a vegetable, racism is universal. When Grace is taken, Kozav will show them that taking his mate was a very bad thing to do. It's downright dangerous.

November 2018 - re-read
Kozav is still one of my faves. I loved re-reading his and Grace's story. After finally getting Argan's book I started a series re-read.

June 2016
I love this series and it becomes better and better. Kozav easily won my heart and I would have given his book five stars if it wasn't for the last sex scene.
Erin Tate aka Celia Kyle writes fantastic alpha males and her world building makes me wish to move to her Earth, but...the sex scenes make me cringe every time I read them.
I know, I keep repeating myself but a sex scene doesn't have to be crude to be sexy. And really, if you have time to talk, you're not doing it right....

I love these books so much. As always, this one was well-written and highly entertaining.

I adored Kozav and his clueless Preor ways. I loved Grace and her no-nonsense attitude. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. Would I have liked a bit more dragon in the book? Yeah. It would be nice to see more of that aspect of the Preors. Still, that doesn't change the fact that the book was a brilliant read, and I didn't get enough sleep last night because I kept reading "just one more chapter".

More please!

Fantastic

I love this series. A human nurse steps in to aid 5 hurt Preor males. The human doctors refuse to help them so against their instructions she acts as triage nurse and unlicensed doctor. She is a good woman who just seems to never catch a break. Even when she finally meets her mate, everything that could go wrong does, leaving her life in extreme danger. This was a great storyline, I enjoyed it immensely.

This was book 3 in the series. I wish there were a book 4. I loved this series and the world it created. It was just enough angst without being over the top and cheesy. The characters were strong and the worlds were beautiful. If her other books are this well written in getting the others as well.

Oh, I like these dragons. They might have some internal security issues they need to iron out in their fleet, but they're pretty darn decisive when it comes to protecting the ones they love. (For the record, those security issues are pretty hairy. Like, the REALLY need to take care of them.)

So. Kozav. He meets Grace when he's too injured to realize it. Which is kinda a bad thing since she gets left behind and there's the whole Knowing thing that pretty much rips a person's mind apart if they don't have their mate around to help them shoulder the burden. Okay, it might not be that bad, but Grace is left to deal with a slew of information and she's not doing so well when Kozav gets back to her. Her relocation to the Preor ship sort of opens up another can of worms (which was totally not Kozav's fault since he didn't know the situation with her mother) and puts Kozav in a bad headspace. Because baggage.

Anywho. Grace and Kozav work things out (mostly), but there's more to deal with than just misunderstandings and getting to know your surprise mate. Which swings us back around to those security issues I mentioned earlier. Really, sexy dragon guys, y'all need to vet your people better.

Sexy with enough danger to keep me grinning (what? I like dangerous situations.) and a whole bunch of big, brawny dragon-men. *thumbs up*

So, it's like this. Three days ago I was browsing books on the Audible romance package. I'm so very picky about books when I'm in a mood. So, I was so happy when I read that this first book had a super possessive alpha male in it. I downloaded the book and started listening to it while I was cleaning.

That was three days ago.

I'm binge listened to the first three books but then I just wanted to read the rest myself. Also, the narrators to these books are freaking amazing. AMAZING!!!

Anyway, once I started I couldn't stop. I am so in love with this series. So, 10 books. 3 days. 2 kids. 1 needy male of my own. I don't know how I did, but I finished all 10 books in three days. I was up late and awake early. Normally, after each book I leave a review. But, I didn't want to wait for the next story. So, I will be posting this review to every book.

Said simply... Amazing story, fantastic characters and the world building is...well...out of this world. I just say that there is a 5 book series on the Ujals. I'll be there if you need me.

My favorite series I've read so far this year...

Narrator Review (Mandy):

The longer these books get, the better they are.

I’m just waiting for a 600 page masterpiece to fall into my lap. Umm. 23 hours of Mandy and Todd? Do you even have to ask?

This is my favorite narration by Mandy thus far, and her performances never disappoint. The urgency behind her voice compliments Grace’s character so wonderfully. I was there in the emergency room slicing and dicing this flock of dragons. Wake of dragons? Army? Gaggle?!
Listening to Mandy was like watching another woman molest my men—yes, men.

The longing, the desire. I swelled in the undercurrent of her rhythm. I’m instantly in love with every character she brings to life. So much, in fact, that every time I listen to her, I want to change my career. So, until I review the fourth book in the series, please call me “nurse NDP,” pull down your knickers and let me stab you with this needle of juju.

Narrator Review (Todd):

Todd’s voice is thick with emotion. Gah! So-o-o good! Ogle him while you can, ladies, because Todd. Is. Mine. Is that appropriate to say about someone you haven’t met? Here, in front of all my subjects, I stake claim on Todd’s voice. If I had complete control over this man, I would record him saying my most used phrases, and then when people called me I would have these preset soundtracks…

Ring. Ring.

1- You dunna kin what yer talkin’ aboot!
2- Did you get the email I sent five seconds ago?
3- Staaahp.

Now, that’s what I call the life of luxury.

Every time Todd narrates the beginning of a chapter, I squeal. I literally squeal. I can’t listen to this man at work. I am told I talk to myself, but I don’t know what would happen to my reputation if I squealed like an oinker throughout the day. 🐷

Todd is dimensional, his narrations are tasteful and his cadence is perfectly timed. He's honey lit on FIRE. I can’t image anyone better to narrate this series. He never ceases to amaze me.

Book Review:

Fate. Separation. Desire. This is Celia Kyle’s best!

Our dragon hotties have no females. We learn this in book one, Jarek. Although these are standalone novels, I highly recommend reading them in order.

Some background: the female population was killed off centuries ago (this is the Great Conflict which is the best name ever, BTW) and the few who did survive are infertile. Now, the Preor Third Fleet is in orbit around earth perusing the human race for suitable females.

Kozav is flying with his army of SEXY when their airspace is invaded. Him and his men/dragons/fiends get hurt and taken to East Fortuna Medical where our heroine, Grace, works her magic…even though she isn’t a doctor.

Our hunks are delirious. It’s not until Kozav is back on Preor that he realizes the Knowing has struck him. (The when you know, you know feeling). He’s pretty daft at first, because he doesn’t even recognize that he’s imprinted on a human.

But he doesn’t even know her name! Or what she looks like!

Was she still alive? Yes. Yes, she was. The Knowing still flooded him, so she had to still be breathing, her heart beating. But how badly did she suffer? The Knowing answered the question for him—greatly.

Hey, but at least he knows she's alive! For now...

OMG, this book is so freaking good. Fate to the fifteenth degree.

Kozav is sent on this wild journey to find his soulmate. What’s even more frustrating is that he knows nothing about her. How are you supposed to reconnect with your perfect match when you don’t know them?

Speaking of soulmatesI saw a psychic once. I haven’t told any of you this. LOL. I guess the idea of fate and soulmates reminded me of it. She told me I would meet my dream man “soon.” I don’t know what your definition of “soon” is, but this was about a year ago. Anyway! She said he would love wine and traveling. She also said he’d be much older than me and place the world at my feet.

My feet are waiting.

If I twist the facts, she was totally referring to Kozav because he’s doing all of this for me.

Now let me introduce you to Grace, the woman who’s stealing my soulmate from me. She’s a human nurse, and in the heat of the craziness, she’s assessing injured Preor warriors. Suddenly, she’s gifted with all the skills and knowledge to treat them, so she performs surgery (I didn’t particularly enjoy this part, but Mandy’s performance completely changed my mind about the scene).

Grace nearly rolled her eyes. “They can mate with humans. I’m operating under the assumption that they’re not so different we can’t stick a needle in their skin or press a nanopad to a bleeding wound.” She snapped her fingers. “Let’s do this, people.”

Then Grace is hit with the Knowing.

This is how they all start, my friends. They form an unbreakable—and unwilling—bond, and each character must overcome their own demons and obstacles before they find love. This series is passion in its rawest form. Kozav is an alpha DREAM. This book could have been about him prancing around and I would have adored it just the same.

Long story short: Celia Kyle is brilliant.

Grace Hall is a nurse at the ER and she just has Preor males delivered in there but all the doctors are working on the humans first. Grace isn't having that so she rushes around helping the Preor males until she heals her mate, Kozav. He is unconscious yet she saves his life thanks to the Knowing telling her how to heal him. When his medical people arrive she has already taken care of all 5 of the men and passes out. Now it up to Kozav to save her life because she accidently gets left on Earth without him. Its great how this couple was able to work it out even though she was wary at first. LOVED IT!

I love this series. The Preor Males are all fiercely protective of their females and will do whatever is required to keep them safe and hopefully make them happy. Though they seem to have a little trouble in the keeping them happy areas as they always seem to mate with headstrong women who don't like to be told what to do. Grace is a very independent women who has spent her life taking care of herself and her mother she does not want to give up control of her life to a male she has just met, but sometimes fate has other plans. Then she discovers that her mother has also met her mate and she really is thrown.

Kozav is dragon/alien they came to earth to look for mates because all of their females have died.
Grace is a nurse working two jobs to help take care of her sick mother. Walking into the hospital what does she see? Chaos. In front of her is dragons that need help. She knows they can't wait for help to come to the human hospital so it is up to her to do everything she can to save their lives.
This book starts off fast and doesn't cool down until the last page. This is book 3 out of 10. So I have lots more reading ahead of me. Do you know where to find me? In bed reading that's where.

I'm still listening to the ending, but I found my favorite line from this story and had to list it while I still remember it.
"If you f-----g com them, I will rip your arm of and beat you with it until you are crying for mommy." CLASSIC threat!!!

This is a great story. The characters, Kozav and Grace, are an great pair. Grace is a nurse with the weight of the world on her shoulders. She is a nurse, an employee of a mating service, and primary caregiver to her sick mother. One evening at work, five Preor warriors come into her ER and, seeing that no one else was going to help them, she went to work. The moment she set eyes on Kozav the 'Knowing' hit them both, providing her with the knowledge she needed to effectively and successfully care for him and his fellow warriors. Once she had them all stable she collapsed under the weight of the knowledge that her new connection to the Preor warrior drowned her in. Many hours later, Kozav wakes on the Preor ship in space, his entire body aching. Once he realizes that the pain is being caused by his separation from his Sha Kuvah, his mate, he goes in search of her. Grace is a bit different than the previous mates, as she accepts the mating almost right away. She refuses to go all the way because she has serious trust issues, but she accepts that they are meant for one another and decides to take the chance to get to know him. From there, we are taken on a rollercoaster ride of excitement, suspense, danger, steamy moments. I really loved the incorporation of her mom, Donna Hall, into the story, as well as Skulla.

The narrators did a phenomenal job with their performances of this story. Well done to them both and the author. I'm off to read... listen to another story.

Nurse Grace Hall is on duty when five Preor warriors are brought into the emergency room and the doctors do nothing. So Grace steps forward and because they look human she starts to work on them doing what she can to help. One warrior draws her attention with his teal coloured wings and pain glazed eyes has her torn between needing to touch him and healing him. When she finishes working on them she blacks out and knows nothing more. Kozav sen Aghin is the Primary Warrior of the Preor Third Fleet and is very weak when he wakes up on the battleship. Yes, he is healed but he feels as if something is wrong and then it hits him - he found his mate on Earth and she has been left behind to be alone and unprotected which is totally unacceptable. As he still carries guilt from the great conflict he is determined not to fail the curvaceous green-eyed woman who is his to cherish and protect. When someone attempts to take Grace from his life Kozav is prepared to do whatever it takes to get her back even if it means he has to kill one of his own kind. Can they have the future that they both want and deserve?

I liked this story which had lots of danger and drama involved right from the start. I loved the way that they had to settle into a relationship even though they both had the Knowing which was good to see. Grace was definitely sassy and took absolutely no prisoners which was great to see. Easy to read and very enjoyable. Contains explicit sexual content.

I absolutely love when the story universe becomes more defined across multiple stories and series!

Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, semi-steamy intimate scenes and violence.

This is the third story in the spinoff series from the Ujal. While this could probably be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend it be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are reoccurring characters and an overall storyline arc.

This focuses on a human female that is working two jobs to support herself and her mom, who is sick from the pollution she grew up with before the Ujals came to the planet and started cleaning up. The first job is for the IMA as a Sr. Matching Agent and the second is an emergency room nurse that meets her mate when he comes into the ER with four others after an accident.

The doctors refused to aid the Preors, so she gathered up a few nurses and started helping the warriors as best they could until she reached the last one, he has blue coloring and there is something different about him. She will think about it later after she has done all she can ... then suddenly knows what to do. She finds herself utilizing the Knowing to assist them ... wait, the what?! Then as soon as the healers arrive, everything goes black ...
