Taylor Made

Rate this book
Emme James’ southern roots and ease at reading people make her known in elite circles as one of the best image and brand consultants in the business. Her gut-instinct and ability to balance six male roommates, a New York Madame, a rock star and her job do nothing to prepare her for the chaos that ensues when a chance meeting places her on a path that threatens the resolve of control Emme masters.

Having never mislead a woman of his intentions, Graham Taylor makes no apologies for his ‘fuck ‘em and leave ‘em attitude’. He gets no hassle sex and they get money and notoriety. The only stipulation, control. His. An unexpected mishap places him next to an unassuming southern girl whose honesty and kindness kindles a need to show her what it would be like to give control to him even for a short amount of time. His underestimation of her tenacity soon blurs the line of who is really in control.

" Undeniably addicting and page- melting hot , Taylor Made is going to be the new obsession of the readers! Its the next FSOG & Crossfire series."

Le sigh`.... This book !!! Its very rare when a book grips you in its tale so deep, that it crashes into your reality. And the best thing is that you want it to be real!!!
Seriously , I equally love and hate Taylor Made. I love it because it just became one of my favourite reads but I hate it because it just set the standard beyond-the-expectation-high for my upcoming reads! It's going to be a monster size book hangover !
And then there is Graham Taylor ..( cue in some dramatic sighs and drool) seriously he is the best ! But as much as I want to kidnap him and keep him with me forever, I'm still more taken by someone else ! And its no one other than Emme. Emme is the ultimate! She is sweet and sassy, so strong so kind so sexxyyy ! I want her to be my BFF! Hell I want to be her.
So it's suffice to say that with droolworthy romance, tear inducing funny and sad moments and heart stealing characters, Taylor Made has it all and so much more ! It's a must read !

Holy smokes did this debut book by Kj Lewis blow my mind! Absolutely phenomenal...the chemistry between Emme James and Graham Taylor was so sizzling that at times I wondered if the pages might ignite into flames.

Move over Christian Grey...Gideon Cross who? There is a new alpha male in town who has stolen my heart and has left me panting for more. What makes this book even better is the heroine, Emme. With a heart of gold and a haunting past that I still need answers to, Emme might have captured my heart even more than Graham. Don't even get me started on the dwarfs! Lol

This is part one of a duet, and even though there is so much more to the story that I'm dying to get my hands on, I actually can live with the mild cliffhanger this book ended with.

A chance meeting that turns both their world off their axis. Graham controlling in all things to the minute detail. Emme strong, smart, beautiful and a heart of gold. Neither one ready for the other both fighting for control, can they find a middle ground.
This is an amazing read that will rival the best and most controlling book boyfriend around. With a hint of Christian and Gideon you aren't going g to want to put this down.
We have a past that is not clearly explained, danger, a dominant and a reluctant romantic.
I couldn't put it down, and as I read and finally got insight into Grahams head, I am left begging for more...just like he likes it.
Emme is one smart woman, with little experience but more bravery, heart and self worth than most women.. An amazing person both inside and out.
A chance meeting, soulmates found, now if they can only get out of each others way, fate would run its course.

** I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review **

(He aquí la estrellita restada).

For a debut novel I was totally blown away, KJ has captured something really special within the pages of this book and I was drawn in by the fantastic characterisation of her heroine....the writing is fresh and imaginative and I just got lost in the words and this book is a must read just for the experience of being in Emme's head and her unconventional lifestyle and amazing friends. Add the bossy, dominant alpha that is Graham and the 'oh you didn't just say that' moments when you are just waiting for Emme's retort and for her to just turn his well structured world upside down. For fans of FSOG or the crossfire series you are gonna find a new book heroine to match the love we have for Ana and Ava...Go Emme....❤️

Disclaimer: This book ends on a cliffhanger. I did not know that before going in. It did not end well for my iPad. It has now cracks like it’s crying and I can’t even sincerely apologise to it.

Can I be honest? I have not read Crossfire Series and I read Grey Book 1, before I left it. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for Alpha, Possessive Heroes – I like them just fine (in fact, I more than like them, I fell in love with one of them!), what I am not into guys who do not understand the meaning of being protective possessive or being asshole protective!

And while I knew this one was being touted for fans of Crossfire and Grey, I still went ahead, for *MY* gut instinct got me to sign up for this one and I *Always* listen to my instinct – it hasn’t steered me wrong yet!

Emme James is woman who with a secret past and definitely a present that’s he has cultivated for herself – she balances a full blown career, with the stress of being roommates with not ONE but SIX HOT GUYS (I honestly would have dies of combustion, hence she had my admiration from the start!) :D She literally was the calmest heroine I have read in a long time – but that just made me want to unearth her secrets all the more – so yes, I could see the attraction the males would have had to her! ;)

Graham Taylor, a hot shot rich alpha is a man who values *HIS* control over everything in life, even women. He isn’t someone who misleads about his intentions, but he isn’t someone either who lets go of someone he really wants. And he definitely wants Emme, even though he knows (but doesn’t accept!) that he has met his match!

Can I just say, for a DEBUT NOVEL, this was OFF THE CHARTS BRILLIANT! I can’t even express properly how this author sucked me right into this romance without even me realizing it! DO YOU KNOW HOW RARE THAT IS?

The wonderful complexity of this plot is absolutely unreal, (and I am repeating that, this is the author’s DEBUT NOVEL!), it is absolutely atrocious that this author hasn’t been sharing her words with us before this.

I adored every single part of this book – from Emme and her relationship with her roommates (her dwarves even if they are all TALL and did I mention, HOT!!), the support system she has even though she tries to everything on non-emotional level and her connection with Graham! OH. MY. GOD. **fans herself* That connection is literally the foundation of this book and honestly, if there was any slacking on the author’s part in this regard, this whole book could have gone sideways but NOPE. SHE NAILED IT RIGHT ON THE CENTRE!

Their relationship was everything I could have ever wanted in a character’s pairing – there is stubbornness, there are secrets, there is stupidity but there is also passion, compassion and understanding. In fact, everything that could make them a real couple rather than a fictional one was there in the mix!

Okay. For the cliffhanger.. Now this is not the worst cliffhanger I have ever lived with but I DO NOT LIKE CLIFFHANGERS and I did not go in with all the information (my fault really!), so when the book ended? My iPad *accidentally* slipped from my hands and now sports a giant crack in the screen – definitely NOT my finest hour as reader really! But c’mon! How am I supposed to live with THAT ending till the next book’s release date is announced (which it hasn’t been. I checked. Religiously!).

Plus, I *WANT* a paperback copy of this one – and I can’t find it anywhere and I want it *NOW*. That cover is brilliant – so minimalist and without giving away a hint of the amazeballs story inside <3 *totally in love right now!*

Do you even realise my dilemma? *sad face*

This is a book that you *DEFINITELY* need to read – but if you are anything like me about cliffhangers, then maybe put this one on a TBR till the next one comes out – for now every book I read will be overshadowed by my thoughts of this one! :D

OMG!!!!! Can someone put out the fire!!!! This book was so hot and funny and crazy and has some pretty cool twists and turns! I am so happppppy right now! I wish I could un read this book so I could read it for the first time! JUST WOW! I loved everything since page one! I can’t believe this is her debut NOVEL! She is amazeballs. It was like a movie in my head and the scenes are described as if you are there. I wish I was Emme lol. I love how relatable she is and how I find some of myself in her. Graham is just UNREAL! just yummy! I love her support system she has all the supporting characters are just awesome. Everything is awesome lol (Cue Lego Movie song lol) Even when Graham is being a total doo doc head you can tell that they have a connection no one else has. Then!!!! when I found out Adam and Graham were brothers I seriously thought my jaw hit the floor lol! I love how she calls her roommates dwarves and how they care for each other. I hope each dwarf gets a book or novella. GAH! I am trying to type as fast as my thoughts are going but I can’t keep up! I can’t wait to see when she opens up more and figure out why Graham is the way he is. Yes being cautious is understandable but what mad him the way he is maybe being in war or maybe something that he has never told anyone! I hope we get more Graham POV in book2! I NEED DEETS! asap lol hmmm what else? Oh I love how protective everyone is over everyone it is so cute! Oh! and I got so freaked out when Michaels would show up and I thought he would kidnap her overtime she thought someone was by her during Casino night lol FREAKED me out I’m like eeee lol. Move over, Mr. Grey. Graham Taylor is the new sexy businessman. This is KJ Lewis's debut novel and I already want more. She definitely started off with a bang. Emme James leads a crazy life. She has 6 roomates and is basically the modern version of Snow White to her Six Dwarfs ;). She has a well paying job that she loves and gets to have one of her best friends as a boss. She is an image and brand consultant. Emme knows her job and does it perfectly. She always seems to have it together, but her life is turned upside when she meets Graham Taylor. Graham Taylor is not a relationship type of man. Some would say that he is more of the "hit it and quit it" type. Their first meeting was definitely unique, yet memorable at the samed time. There was an instant connection between them.Graham is possesive and controlling in the hottest way possible. But don't think for one second that she will be compliant because he has a pretty face. They definitely butt heads when it comes to control, but she loves the back and forth banter. He wants to know everything about her and is starting to figure out that if he wants to stay on her good side he won't mess with her Diet Coke ;) Emme is closed off with personal details and has to really be able to trust you to let you in. Graham makes it his mission to break down her walls that she puts up to protect herself from a broken heart. Don't worry if he even tries to break her heart, she has back up. Jealousy and assumptions cause Emme to think twice about Graham. Graham is the CEO of control and getting what he wants. Taylor Made is bold, sensual, dominating, striking, and fiercely sexy. I guarentee you that you will be obsessed and when you get to the ending you will NEED more. Emme and Graham may be perfect for each other in some of their friends eyes, but can they both change thier lives to fit each others?

SWOON!!! This book was so freaking HOT!!! I caught myself laughing out loud quite a bit. Emme is just adorable and I love her mouth. I think it is awesome that she lives with six men. She is a mother hen to all of them. The men in this book are just unbelievably H.O.T. and they fall so hard for Emme and she doesn't have a clue. Then there is the SMOKIN H.O.T. Graham. Oh My goodness the man just oozes it. He is now my new book boyfriend. I absolutely had a hard time putting this book down to go to sleep and once I woke up I could not put it down until I finished it and then it was like I need more so much more that my mind is racing. It is going to be so hard to have to wait for the next book. This book is better than some famous one's that have movies. This needs to be in the spotlight it is THAT good. I am so glad I found this new author and look forward to more HOT and Heated books in the future.

This book surpassed my expectations. It didn't take me long to fall for Emme. I love smart, decisive and independent women in books. I loved the way she was so caring and loving with everyone. Graham took my breath away. It's been a long time since i laughed out loud at a male character when the novel is not a rom com. Everything is waved exactly as needed to be, leaving the reader with enough answers but also additional questions. I'm not a huge fan of cliffhangers, so I hope the next installment comes out soon. Well done!

Taylor Made is a stunning love story that had me captivated from the very first page until long after the last page. It is powerful, inspiring, emotionally raw, intense, and breathtakingly romantic. Lewis delivers a story with so much heart and soul that is bleeds from the pages. The characters and storyline are well-written and relatable. Graham is a complex man who is incredibly sexy, loyal, and fiercely protective. Emme is strong, genuine, sweet and self-less. The chemistry between them is undeniable and electric. From the moment they meet they are inexplicably drawn to one another; bound by something stronger than they understand. They share an intense connection on a soul-deep level that can’t be ignored no matter how hard they try to resist. The heart wants what it wants. Their witty banter was so much fun to read and they spar so well with one another. Graham has definitely met his match in Emme. I fell in love with these characters and storyline. I could feel every emotion they experienced. Some scenes just stole my breath while others shattered my heart. The unconditional love and support of family and friends was so incredibly heart-warming. Those scenes just stole my heart! With every word I was drawn further under the spell of this phenomenal story. The ending left me reeling and wanting to know the continuation of their story. I absolutely loved every second of this book and highly recommend reading!!

Not a proper review. Sorry not sorry but I cannot stand this bullshit anymore. I cannot stand the heroine at all. She's potrayed as a Southern girl who's nice and saintly enough to take care of the men she share I a house with. It should end at that. I don't mind that. What I can't stand is her condenscension.

1. She thinks she's "real" because apparenty she's curvy. And she refers to skinny girls as "hanger-girls". I mean, yes, I'd prefer curvy and fat heroines over skinny ass heroines ANY DAY because I can relate better but she's literally??? so condescending???

2. She (and everyone around her) cannot stop talking about her Khloe Kardashian ass. I lost count after a while. For god's sake. Okay. She's "real" and she's got perfect ass? Can we move the fuck on?????

3. She thinks sex workers are beneath her. She got all offended when the Hero misunderstood her for a callgirl because she's somehow ~better than that~ lol. She refers to them as prostitutes and seriously went with the standard "no offense... but they do have sex for money.(so they're beneath me)"

4. She leads a guy on. A famous client of hers is so obviously smitten with her and she obviously knows it but yet she goes out with him for a non-date in (a non-profesional setting) (lol she knew what it was but didn't care). Mind that she was on the tabloids with him before that. But of course, she kisses him back when he kissed her?? And then apologized if she seemed like she was leading him on.

Okay cool story, bro.

Wow! I loved this book. The Sexyness of it; the mystery of it, that ending?!?!?! Oh my! There is so much that I want to say about it but I really can't put into words how much I love it!

The chemestry between Emme and Graham was amazing! You could feel the connection that they had from the start and it went up in flames as the story went on!

The secondary characters were great! Emme calls them the Dwarfs and it was a cute nickname for the friends in her life. They added to the story with their protectiveness.

There were times that I wanted to kick Graham's butt. He did say some rude things without thinking.

Emme had an amazing job and I really liked the aspect that it borough to the story. Even tho so people she worked with should jump off a cliff, the job was awesome for her.

Blaine to me was a great addition to the story. I feel that some people won't like it, but I like the competition, it shows that she want Graham more then some hot singer that wants her, it adds a dynamic to the story and the development of their relationship.

Overall this was An amazing read and I need book two now!!!! I am going nuts wanting to know what's going to happen. For
Being this authors first book I fell that she did an amazing job. The story flowed good, the characters were likable and some even lovable, and it kept me interested the whole way through. I can't wait for more from this author. She may be new to writing but she is an author to watch for!!! #2OCCJD

Emma's southern roots makes her perfect for her job. Being one or the top personal consultants in the city definitely has its perks. But taking care of her 6 male room mates, her job and some unlikely friends, she feels her life is full.
Graham has a love'em and leave'em life style. He gives the women notoriety and they give him their body, no questions asked or promises made.
When their chance meeting leaves them both wanting more, in different ways they are surprised when they both find out that Graham is the brother of one of Emma's room mates
All 6 guys are very protective of Emma. They soon find out about Grahams love'em and leave'em life style and all try to warn Emma but she has her own ideas.
Emma feels she has found a family in Grahams family thru the brother not Graham. His family also knows of Grahams attitude toward women and tries to help her get thru to him.
His quick changes of attitude has Emma wondering if she'll ever get thru to him. One minute he's tender and the next cold. She never knows what to expect. I love the HEA.

OMG I abso freaking loved this book. Emme is the glue that holds sooooo many people together and OMG Graham just makes her panties melt. Emme is a strong career woman and Graham is a rich man used to getting his way... in everything. I love books with multi characters and this book had that in spades. The mark of truly good writing in my opinion is having mulit characters, keeping them straight, making them loveable, and add in humor. Kj Lewis has NAILED THIS! I will admit that Ms. Lewis has left us with some questions that hopefully will be answered soon... like tomorrow with book 2. But while she left us with a cliffhanger and unanswered questions, it felt different then your normal cliffhanger. I'm still on edge waiting patiently (yeah right um NOT) for book 2 but for lack of a better word the cliffhanger was done gently (those that cannot write read obviously). So go get this book and love it because it rocks!

Emme James and Graham Taylor meet by chance on a flight that wasn't the usual for either of them, but once they met, it became impossible to stay away. The southern born Emme has her charm and her pride and both tend to keep her distant from those around her, even the 6 men she lives with, affectionately called "the dwarves." Graham Taylor has his dominant, business only personality but also has a family that surrounds him with love. That family, who embraces Emme before she even meets Graham, is the reason these two characters are finally allowed to give in to their feelings and begin the relationship they clearly crave with each other. The story is gripping and won't let you put it down and the ending will only make you want more!

Emme is from Memphis originally and she now has a fabulous job in New York. During her plane ride back to New York she meets a hot guy named Graham Taylor. Graham is drawn to Emme, but he has a rule about not getting too deeply involved with any women and all relationships are short termed and Emme has to convince him that she is the woman that he will never let go. Emme challenges Graham and since he always wants to be in control he is not sure how to handle it. Good romantic story. The story kept hinting about Emma's family, but not really explaining why she is paying some debt for them.

Another fab new author for me to follow. This series may well become a new addiction.

Love these books where you have complete opposites meet and turns everything upside down. Graham likes order and to control things to the smallest detail and Emma is strong, smart and Sassy. Both like to be in control, Graham has to assert his Alpha Male Controlling nature that gives Christian Grey a run for his money. You can never resist a bossy dominant alpha male

Emme James and Graham Taylor wind up sitting next to each other on an airplane. Emme, or Emelia, grew up in Memphis and is a true Southern girl at heart, down to the way that she can groom and ride a horse, play sports and drive a stick shift car. She also has a very charismatic personality, where people are drawn to her because of her big heart and how she gives so much love in return, but demands so little back. There was so much to like about Emme, but I couldn't quite bring myself to love her for a few little things. There was a lot of emphasis on the fact that she has curvy figure and loves to eat. Okay, fine, that's great that she's normal and relatable, but it was a constant reminder and how she referred to thin girls as "hanger girls" which also happened to be how some of her closest female friends looked. As for Graham, he was rather intriguing initially, this elusive billionaire who was rather taken by a simple girl on a plane. But Graham doesn't do commitment and the way he goes about pursuing Emme with his domineering and demanding personality didn't totally sit well with me because he offered so little of himself in return but expected everything of her like she owed it to him. At least Emme can be feisty in return on occasion. Otherwise, I did enjoy the storyline and the characters, especially the ones who are close to Emme, because it showcases just how much they all care about her despite how she keeps her secrets buried close to her heart. And I am interested enough to want to find out what happens next, if Graham might shift gears and show a different side of his personality.

Sexy & scintillating! Taylor Made was such a great story! Emme and Graham’s affair is filled with heat and attraction from the beginning. They both have their own issues and while their pasts have made them both into control freaks who are wildly successful in their professional lives, neither has had a successful personal relationship.

Graham has turned his love life into a business transaction. There’s a win-win aspect to the brief encounters he has with women. He maintains control over his emotions and will not allow himself to let anyone penetrate his defenses. Emme has sought control too and fears losing her heart. Though she connects easily with those around her, Emme doesn’t give her heart with ease.

Together, Graham and Emme are a perfect mix of combustible materials. Their chemistry is explosive. They challenge each other. And you find yourself rooting for them. I love the Emme is not the kind of character that will just go along for the ride. She is strong and independent and self-confident. Graham is enough of an alpha male to be sexy without being a complete jerk. Overall, this was a great story and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I don’t know how I missed this duet. I was thrilled to see there were KJ Lewis books I hadn’t read yet. This book did not disappoint. I was so wrapped up in the book when I turned the last page I would have cried if I didn’t already have Taylored to Perfection downloaded and ready to read.

What happens when you have your set ways to just survive day to day and someone unexpectedly comes into your life and feels the need to always be in control. Where is the compromise? Who wins the stubborn stand off to concede? How long can you continue like this constantly battling to be the winner?

Plucky meets surly
Oh my stars, I loved this book! Plucky Emme catches the attention of surly Graham on a flight and despite his best intentions (or worst) he’s ensnared in her web of kindness and bravado. I loved this pair so much, I could not stop reading! This is a bit of a cliffhanger, you want to make sure you have the next book, Taylored to Perfection all ready and waiting when you finish!

I absolutely loved this book, for a debut I thought it was pretty damn amazing in truth. KJ Lewis created characters who all had their own personality and rights within the storyline. You were never left in doubt who was who but at the same time Ms Lewis was able to focus on her main characters Emme James and Graham Taylor.

Emme is a Southern gal, full of that Southern charm and accent that wins people over and makes her so endearing. She is a successful a Business woman with an innate fear of flying!!!!

Graham is a multi million dollar owner business man. He runs his home and life's by control…… he needs to be in control. His first meeting with Emme is side by side on a airplane ….. then again with her and ‘the dwarfs’. They're adorable and think the world of a Emme.

Graham and Emme get together and what ensues is plenty hot smoking sex however Ms Lewis still ensures all her secondary characters remain pride of place and deeply set as Emme Southern Roots firming within Taylor Made.
I would undoubtedly recommend this book to anyone to read who likes a bit of hot smoking sex in their storyline. I loved Emme for the strength, sassiness this girl had.
I most definitely give this book 5*. Just a shame I can't add a load more ‘plus’ signs after.

Well done KJ Lewis on a superb, tantalising and absolutely fantastic debut read.
