The fight for the universe comes to a climax in this penultimate chapter of the Smallville saga! Lois Lane's newest assignment for The Daily Planet takes her to the Antarctic headquarters of the Holt/Kord Supercollider Project; but unbeknownst to Lois, Kord Industries has a new last-second investor—and Lex Luthor always has an ulterior motive. When the facility is sabotaged, the supercollider causes a bleed in the multiverse itself, stranding Lois—along with Superman—on a parallel Earth! While Chloe, Oliver and their allies at the Department of Extranormal Operations try to figure out how to get their friends back home, a new mystical threat is laying siege to Metropolis. A supernatural infection is causing violence and destruction across the city, but, luckily for the team in the Watchtower, Superman isn't the only superhero keeping watch. Even as Clark and Lois battle Monitors across the Multiverse and heroes from all over Earth unite to fight for their home, in the end, it still may not be enough. Because the Crisis isn't just coming—it's here. Writer Bryan Q. Miller (TV's SMALLVILLE) and artists including Agustin Padilla (GREEN ARROW) and Daniel HDR (CYBORG) bring you SMALLVILLE SEASON ELEVEN VOL. 8: CHAOS, collecting SMALLVILLE SEASON CHAOS #1-4 and SMALLVILLE SEASON ELEVEN SPECIAL #5: HARBINGER.

It is so depressing when the "Smallville" graphic novel series is one of the only good things coming out of DC Comics these days. And that was not to take anything away from this book, because it was great. The suspense and scope are enough to keep the reader glued to every page.
It's nice to see Lois back in a featured role, although I'd still rather see more development of the Lois-Clark relationship and more groundwork of "Superman" rather than the retread of "DCU's greatest hits" plotting. I did enjoy the Hank Henshaw development and his seeming finale here.
While visiting the Holt/Kord facility in Antarctica, Superman and Lois are transported into a parallel universe and must rely on an alternate Jor-El to get them home before their Earth is threatened by the Bleed.
A solid penultimate volume which sets up an epic finale. There are some flaws in the artwork where Lois, Diana and Zatanna lol too similar to each other, as do Clark and Emil Hamilton, but the novel flows well.
I wasn't a fan of the Smallville TV show but this was great. Superman and Lois get sucked into the multiverse while Eclipso runs wild back on their Earth and Lex Luthor strikes a deal with the Monitors to transform reality. I can see why some fans in the reviews felt it didn't have much in common with the TV series, but it worked for me.
