Every dog has its day... That’s the saying right? Well, I’m the top dog. Everyday. That’s the way it’s always been and the way it’ll always be. I run things on the field and off the field. Caston Sinclair: Team captain. Pussy whisperer. The guy your girlfriend thinks about when you're on top of her. I hold the power in my hands. Well, the glove that is. I walk on the pitcher’s mound every night and I walk off a legend. Untouchable. Unbeatable. Bulletproof. Things were going exactly as I planned... Or so I thought. Until her. 4’11". Tanned legs, fire in her eyes and an attitude to match. She was a game changer... After all, anything is possible, it’s the Off Season.

➳A short, romantic, new adult, possessive, and overall intriguing story of Castor and Eryn sharing their love and aspiring second chances...
➳A baseball player, a single mother bar-owner/bartender, and a two year old child who is the most cutest thing ever (besides my seven month baby bro' of course...), this is what this story has to offer you. Devouring this story is an understatement; understanding this story is more like it because of the common struggles R. Holmes provides to the reader. Her imagination of capability and admiration towards the act of selflessness is pure and beautiful to read. Castor is one to portray that character when sticking up for his team mates;
➳"Talk all the shit about me you want but don’t fucking talk shit about my friends, my teammates, or my fucking family"
➳Eryn's nickname... BEYOND ADORABLE! I love it so much cause it fits her personality; "Little Spitfire." Every time Castor said it, it melted me more and more. What started off as a fling, or a way to get her out of his system, ended up being a possessive relationship filled with romantic jealousy that makes you admire their relationship tactics. Eryn teaches Castor the domestic ways around the daily routines at home for a single mother, and he embraces them all! R. Holmes brings the correct idea of gender equality which is something refreshing to read and acknowledge.
➳THE SEX... OH WOAHHHH!! Beyond steamy, hot, sweaty, panting, breathtaking INCREDIBLE! Castor is such a dirty talker, claiming her with his marks and all that he can give. While Eryn is the wild single mother you don't expect to read...
➳Overall, I enjoyed this short story. When I mean short story, it really is a short story. Would I call this a smutty? Hmmm I'm not 100% about that, because of its length and the climax and plot being provided but I really enjoyed this story and I cannot wait to read more from R. Holmes! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ➳Hero rating: 4.5 ➳Heroine rating: 5.0 ➳Sexual tension rating: 5.0 ➳Sex scenes rating: 5.0 ➳Sex scenes frequency: 5.0 ➳Plot rating: 5.0 ➳Dialogue rating: 5.0 ➳Storytelling rating: 4.5 ➳Story ending rating: 4.0

YAY, R. Holmes second book is finally here!!! Omg, I've been stalking the author since I've read Scorched, which I absolutely adored - if you haven't read it yet, go get it now! - so when I got this treat on my e-reader I devoured it like a starving woman! Off Season is the perfect feel good, low angst, short and smutty read! I love how Caston transformed right before our eyes from a playboy player into a true loving family man, and fell in love with him, right along with Eryn. Eryn was absolutely amazing, a strong single mother, knows how to protect herself from the types of 'player', but after seeing that Caston is much more than he first appeared to be, she starts to let go of her hang ups and welcome him into their lives, because come on, who could resist seeing the way Caston treated her little boy?! It was a beautiful and sexy romance story, in which the author proved yet again how amazingly she writes, creates and develops these characters that even in a short story, like this, we get deeply involved and our feelings reflect what they're feeling. That is a proof of some gifted writing! My only wish was that it would have been a bit longer, and with an epilogue that gave us a look further into their future! I'm greedy like that, because I wanted even more Caston and Eryn!!! <3 <3 <3 <3
Nothing has ever felt so good in my life. Nothing. Not a homerun. Not winning any championship. I’d give up baseball tomorrow if it meant I got to spend the next thirty years with this perfect angel.

Short story about a single mom Eryn who runs a bar with her dad. When a cocky star ball player called Caston comes in causing havoc and trashing the place. Caston calls her Spitfire as she stops the bar brawl with a shotgun.
So she is a wild one, and I loved it!
Since I don't want to give the story away here is a few quotes I thought might be appreciated: "Seeing Caston play with my boy like he was the star of the room melted my heart into a puddle on the ground." (Heroine's thoughts) “Mine. Do you hear me? Fucking mine. I can’t focus on anything else but you. You’re making me a crazy man.”(Hero's words to the heroine)
I wanted more!! This is not fair! I wanted an epilogue. I needed an epilogue. I wanted to make sure her douche bag ex did not come after her or her son. Very good and enjoyable but too short and without any Epilogue I could only give it 3.5 stars!
Safety: no cheating, faithful, no OM/OW drama, condoms used, some light pushing.
Just what I needed after a catastrophic reading. Super hot, sexy, sweet and to the point. And it made me feel that something in less than 100 pages. Like I said it's all about the author's writing. I gave 4 stars because the end is so abrupt it left lost for a few minutes. You know, trying to find "the rest". One of those books where an epilogue was essential
This was a short sexy and funny book! Caston is a sexy cocky baseball player and he will make your panties melt.... and he will win your heart! Eryn is a sexy fisty bartender that has walls around her heart. She doesn't want to get hurt! Can sexy ball player break through her wall and win her over........
This book was short but it was also very good. It hot, scorching hot if you know what I mean. Caston is every ladies walking wet dream lol. You have to love the arrogant baseball player he will definitely get into pants and into heart. Great job loved this one!!
Ok so the saying of No Glove No Love.... ummm yeah if I meet a guy like Caston FUCK because he can pitch his balls to me anytime!! So with said to @rholmesauthor one word HAWT!5 star read. This was an such fun, swoon and schemexy story! More like a novella. But had everything to find your getaway. And ooohhhh you'll want to want to get away with Caston. Thank you @rholmesauthor providing an arc for my R&R. I need more!!! mustread #highlyrecommended #offseason #authorrholmes #newrelease #bookwhoregang #bookaddict #bookstagram #bookjunkie #smutslut #bookish #bibliophile #josiesbook_escape
Caston Sinclair is a love em and leave em type of guy, the only thing he truly cares about is baseball. After another night gets out of hand, Caston finds himself having to live above the bar he had a fight at and having to work there in the off season. Eryn has enough on her plate to deal with as a single mom, she knows a bad boy when she sees one. She wants Caston to stay far away from her, but as time goes by they form a friendship that quickly leads to something else. Can the bad boy become a family man or is too much for him to handle.
I think if this had been a bit longer would have been a 5 star read. The chemistry is off the charts in this book. Eryn is quite the spitfire, you cant help but be rooting for a happily ever after.
Finished Off Season by the lovely @rholmesauthor . R.Holmes is giving you something totally different prior her debut novel Scorched ( which is out already) Off Season is a quick , fun and sexy read and if your into hot baseball player well your going to enjoy this book. You won't be disappointed.. ⚾⚾⚾
As I have mentioned before, I am not usually into sports romances, but have come around to them recently. Baseball is the worst, IMO, so I was worried that would influence how I felt about this book. But it definitely did not! I think with it being a novella and not a full length book, it didnt have the chance to spend too much time on the baseball element.
I could easily see this book being stretched out into a full length story. It is a bit smutty so I can see how it wouldn't be to everyones taste, but I think the timing was perfect for me after reading something so much more serious. It was fun. It brought me out of the darkness of the last book I read. Also, I am glad to see more coming from R. Holmes!
just finished this and not even work was going to get in the way. this is my first book I've read by the indie author but it's not the first that I bought but I am excited to start her debut sometime soon. this book was on fire. I loved the Heroine of the story. she is who I want to be.
"I get what I want Eryn, and it’s you that I want."
Oh yeah Caston always get what he wants. No women will say no to this hot cocky baseball player. That's until Eryn, well she's feeling the attraction, but as a single mother, she definitely stays clear from trouble like Caston. But when one incident forced them getting close to each other, it's hard to ignore those sparks, and with relentless efforts from Caston, it's become impossible to stay away. Yup I love this kind of story. Love all the characters, it's hard not to love feisty heroine and cocky playboy. Love when a book leaves me wanting more. Yup I really enjoyed this one.
If you're looking for fast short Sport Romance book, you should try this one.
What happens when a hot and sexy baseball pitcher sets his sights on a sexy little spitfire who runs a bar in the town he is in? Well lots of hot sex of course!!! Caston is famous for being hot on the mound and in bed. But once he meets Eryn all of those cleat chasers don't seem to interest him anymore. But what does this reformed playboy have to do to win this small town single mamas heart and convince her to give him a chance?? This book was a hot and quick read!!! You will LOVE Caston and you will be cheering him on and hoping that Eryn gives him the chance that he deserves!!! A MUST read!!!
I absolutely loved Caston! He was freaking hot, and a yummy blend of alpha and sweet. Eryn...first I love how her name was spelled. She was definitely his spitfire. I loved the intro with her and a shotgun! That kinda set her personality tone. I loved that this wasn't a push and pull romance. It rather when both made up there minds about each other it flowed. It was short, hot, and just want I needed this week!
It was a short love story but I enjoyed every minute. Caston the hot cocky baseball player. Baseball was his life till he laid eyes on that hot bartender. Eryn was scared to get hurt to give her heart away. Caston made it his mission to have Eryn!!

I enjoyed reading this fast- paced love story. This book was written from two characters point of views which was great. Love the fact that the girl was shorter than 5 feet and that the guy was a baseball player. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
I decided to read this book after seeing everyone was reading it. Let me start by saying that I loved it and enjoyed it. I would def be a cleat chaser for Caston Sinclair.
I loveed Eryn. She was sassy, take-no-shit, strong of a woman. And Caston? My God. Sexy is the way to describe him.
Like I said I both loved and enjoyed it but there are some reasons I disliked about it a bit. 1) It felt rushed. I feel like their relationship wasn't really explored. I love a good insta-love but there was a huge gap. 2) Wish we could have seen more interaction between Caston and Easton. I just wanted to see more cuteness. Who doesn't enjoy a man who loves kids?
But other than thaaaat. I just wish it was a bit longer maybe we could have seen more interaction between Eryn's son and Easton and explored their relationship more.
Read if you love hot baseball players, woman with sass, and hot hot scenes.
