مشروع الترميز (موسوعة عناصر الـ"دي إن إيه") هو مشروع يهدف إلى وصف جميع العناصر الوظيفية المشفرة في الجينوم البشري. وبعد تسع سنوات من إطلاق الترميز، تُوٍّجَتْ جهود المشروع الرئيسة بالنشر المنسَّق لثلاثين ورقة بحثية، ست ورقات منها في هذا العدد من مجلة "نيتشر Nature". ويوجد أيضًا في هذا العدد، تعليق إيوان بيرني، منسق رائد للتحليل بموسوعة «الترميز»، الذى يشرح فيه كيف قاموا بهذا المشروع.
