The 38th in a series accompanying the remake of the 1960s TV series "Bewitched". Sabrina zaps herself back into the Middle Ages and finds herself face to face with a dragon.
Cathy East Dubowski is a narrator, editor, and illustrator. She specializes in novelizations of movies and literary classics for children and young adult readers. Dubowski has written more than 100 books for children, including adaptations of The Aristocats, Frances Hodgson Burnett’s A Little Princess, and Anna Sewell’s Black Beauty.
This book takes place later in the series when Sabrina no longer lives with her aunts but with some roommates. She works in a coffee house.
Things aren't going well for her as a group of customers sneaks out without paying. Her aunts are arguing a lot with each other. She is attending college and has a term paper she has to finish on the Middle Ages.
She borrows a dress from Hilda so she can go to a fair and ends up in the past at the time of the Middle Ages. She gets to learn a lot about the time and even meets a couple of people she knows. She learns about the methods of punishment and does, indeed, meet a dragon.
I like the historical-type stories in the series as it's sort of a neat learning experience. This one does a pretty good job with the basics of the time.
I watched the Sabrina the Teenage Witch show and I have to say when I read this book, it just felt like an extension. To the point in my mind I can picture the events of the book but with the cast of the show.
Flows nice and of course, whats not to love about Sabrina the Teenage Witch?
I loved all of the Sabrina tales full of magic. Every story was a different adventure and some new and exciting challenge to overcome. These books made me want to have magical powers too but the ending results were hilarious.
