I kept wondering how hard the special effects would be to create if this book was made into a movie.

This is the second book in this High Fantasy series. It also has elements of Military as well as a touch of Romance.

Elora faced some tough things but what she is about to face is going to take a lot of will-power.

There is so much going on in this story that I'm afraid that I'll say something that will give away vital information. I really enjoyed this story. When I read the next one in the series, I will most likely devour it as quickly as possible.

Warning: There is Violence.

Shadojak takes us further into the Eversong series and reveals more of Elora’s powers, as well as the terrible ambitions of men and creatures of the world Thea as they seek to rule Earth. They seek, too, to meld the worlds and that will bring Chaos on an epic scale.

No spoilers, but know all is not what it seems. Elora will fail AND succeed as the new Shadojak, while Bray, her Shaigun, will have his heart torn. As the Dark Army marches across Earth in search of a mighty weapon, the worlds suffer and traitors stand forth.

Seriously, Shadojak is a fantastic read! Cannot say that enough, not without a host of exclamation marks to underscore how much I enjoyed it! (!!!) It’s well written and structured, and filled with surprises – I did NOT see traitor number one coming until he revealed himself and then my jaw dropped in astonishment!

Beyond the actual tale of tribulation, I found the author’s descriptions of the two worlds brilliant. I was there in every warehouse, in the airship, in the dungeons, at Ram’s Keep and in the snows, along every path, behind every tree.

By the way, why is there a dragon on the cover? Read Shadojak to find out!!

Excellent book, and I can’t wait to read the final one in this series!

You know when you get pulled into a book and love love love it and then the next book in the series really lets you down? This is NOT THAT KIND OF SERIES! @asalter201 has written a sequel that’s just as entertaining and gripping as Eversong. Shadojak has elements of violence, romance, and military that carry such an incredible balance while telling a story that you can easily picture happening. Elora has matured to a level that causes her to understand the difficulty of carrying out the balance and loving others at the same time. Yet another five stars for The Daughter of Chaos trilogy!

Shadojak takes of where we left book one. And from there Elora goes back to Earth trying to save what’s left of humanity. She makes new friends along the way and of course starts to further dive into her chaos powers, which might prove not to be the best for either Thea or Earth.

I discovered The Daughter of Chaos series by mere chance and my mum got me the first book for Christmas. And this summer I started reading the first book and completely fell in love with this universe. it is one of those series that reminds me why I love to read fantasy, and why I fell in love with reading in the first place. And personally for me it feels really nostalgic; specially this second book. It had the other worldly fantasy, the romance, the dystopia, the fantasy, the war with the gods… It has everything I love in just one book!

And that is precisely what I enjoyed the most about this book. I got to read more about a universe that I was already really invested in. And also read in many generes that I did enjoy a lot growing up. It created a great ambiance and a lot of possibilities for the expansion of the universe.

The character development was great too. And for me personally I really enjoyed seeing how Elora does not only have to fight the external enemies but also herself. And with all of that she had to managed a lot of expectations from the people around her.

Plot wise it was really interesting, but it was a bit slow. And even when I loved the action I would have loved to see more about the Shadojak and how their institution work.

And the ending of the book was so good with the most amazing cliffhanger. I am dying to read the next book on this series.

Shadojak, even better than Eversong and that itself was a brilliant read. The story of Elora rockets on with barely time to take a breath. Where A. C. Salter gets his stories from is a mystery to me but I wish he would bottle and sell it to other indie writers. The main character Elora has now developed into a full blown multi dimensional personality. At once trying to save two worlds, Earth and Thea whilst her darker self is intent on merging both with catastrophic results.I cannot get over how the story doesn't let up on the action. There are so many supporting characters that we are introduced to along the way, all contributing to a mammoth tale. I also have to mention that the author's former military background provides interesting fodder to the story-line. The book leaves me anxious to purchase the final part of the trilogy because to be honest I have no idea where this story will go next. I recommend it most highly...a worthy five stars for book two of The Daughter of Chaos trilogy.

This book is just as good as the first. Love “Gurple”, the bard and the pirate. The characters are all well thought out. You laugh, cry and get angry. Elora is strong and I love her morally gray personality as it switches back and forth. Love “Bray”.💕
The twist and turns are so good you don’t want to put it down.

An entertaining read

The second book in the series does not fail to entertain, the plot is carefully crafted, with twists and turns, and a surprise ending. Hopefully the 3rd book does not disappoint.

Have you ever wanted to go on a dangerous and daunting adventure to save the world? Nope me nether – I’d rather read about it in a book! Ever Song, by A.C. Salter, is that book. It is a clever, imaginative and colourful work of Fantasy. It has everything – a far off magical land, dragons, gods, wizards and noble warriors on a quest to save the worlds. Trying not to give too much away, Salter has created his own unique worlds in a novel complete with its own original story lore. This story is well worth the read! As a matter of fact I’ve already started the second book in the series, Shadojak. Read this book!
