Capturing life’s moments... Snap. Click. Snap. Molly steered clear of anything that didn’t have her behind the lens of her trusty camera. That was her passion, her love, and her life. Being an award winning photographer that created countless book covers for authors all over the world had its perks...half naked men for starters. Always looking, but never touching. Mixing business with pleasure was a big no-no in her line of work.
Unlike the romance covers her shots are used for, Molly can’t picture herself having a happily ever after.
Friendship is everything... Focusing on work and failing at romance was all Molly knew how to do. Luckily she had Friendship Friday to look forward to with her two best friends, Emma and Mackenzie. They were her sisters from other misters and her everything.
The bond that Molly shares with her besties is unbreakable, but when life throws something fishy Molly’s way, she worries that she will lose their precious friendship forever.
Coffee is a girl’s best friend... Molly is a hardcore caffeine addict, coffee isn’t just a drink, it’s a way of life.
Finding the perfect cup of coffee in Seattle is easy, finding a guy, not so much, unless that guy finds you…in the most unexpected way.
Love and other indoor sports… There are plenty of fish in the sea, but what happens when you get clobbered by one? Literally. Molly finds herself being the catch of the day in Seattle’s Pike Place Fish Market.
After meeting Logan, a sexy fisherman, with stormy gray eyes, everything changes. Not ready to take the plunge and dive into this romance, Molly finds herself barely keeping above water, as she swims in a sea of new emotions and wild love. Molly isn’t so sure she is cut out for this relationship, but Logan sets out to prove that fate has him Reeling in Love.
Will Logan and Molly sail off into the sunset or will Molly be the one that got away, only to stay...Single in Seattle.

Reeling In Love (Single In Seattle #1) is by author Gloria Herrmann. Release Date: March 18, 2017 Read: March 9, 2017 Rating: 4 Cover: 4 POV: Third-person single perspective by heroine Standalone Series: Single In Seattle Genres: Romance
I have a couple of mixed feelings regarding this book. For me, it read more like Chick-lit instead of a straight-up romance. There was no POV from the hero, Owen, which disappointed me because he was a great guy and I wanted so desperately to be inside his head. The book felt like it was only Molly's story.
Let me explain.....Molly was very insecure, did not trust her instincts and always needed advice and insight from her best friends to make decisions in her personal life. This book was all about her development from insecure and resigned to never having relationships with men, to her realizing that in order for her to be happy, she needed to take chances. Molly did indeed grow in character. I did not like her at first. Not at all during the first half of the book. She was winey and annoying and not very mature. In fact when she got together with her best friends, it felt like they were high school girls instead of being in their early 30s. Definitely immature for their age.
However, I did love the close relationship she shared with her friends. Regardless of their arguments, which were often, they loved each other. I believe it was thanks to that relationship that Molly was able to find the courage to take a chance on love.
Owen was amazing, patient and kind. Lucky for Molly that he was patient and persistent. Owen and Molly met in the quirkiest way, but Owen believed it was fate. He was determined to convince Molly she was perfect....and perfect for him as well.
I really did adore Owen. Thankfully the second half of the book gave us more of him and Molly as a couple. Their relationship development was very slow but that was due to Molly's insecurities. There were many emotions throughout the story. Some very sad moments occurred and yes, I cried. There were times I smiled as well. Of course I was frustrated too. Not because of angst but because of how Molly treated Owen at times. But when they finally became an official couple, I did the happy dance!
Molly's two best friends, Tiffany and Mackenzie, each had different personalities; both were single as well. I believe we will indeed get their stories sometime in the future (hopefully near). I admit I am especially looking forward to Mackenzie's story. That girl could use some happiness!
So all that said, I may have complained here and there but overall I enjoyed this book. I will add that I probably would have loved it if we had Owen's POV. For me as a reader, and my personal preference, I enjoy books more when they have both H/h perspectives. It is important to me to have an equal balance of perspectives. Just thinking...I could see this as a family TV drama portraying the lives of three best friends. It kind of had that vibe. ;)
This was my 5th Gloria Herrmann novel and I will be reading more. Also Reeling In Love was her first 'jump' into the erotic genre and I though it was done well. Very sexy. Looking forward to reading more.
*I voluntarily read and reviewed and advanced reader's copy of this novel. My opinions are honest and unbiased.
This is my first book by Gloria, and I was not disappointed in the least. This story is one that will have on an emotional roller coaster the whole way through, most of the time you aren't sure if you want to laugh or cry but somehow you make it through. This story is truly a unique one with how honest it is, weather it's the friends argueing or woman feeling self doubt, this makes you feel normal for questioning yourself as a woman and the relationships that you are in. I do love an insta-lust story but this was a good change in that Molly made this man work for what he wanted so that neither one of them would take it for granted. The best way to read this book is to sit down with a nice cuppa tea or big glass of wine and some chocolate and just enjoy!!
Molly has an amazing career being a photographer and capturing the perfect shot of beautiful people and cover models. She has her two best friends Mackenzie and Tiffany are living the single life in Seattle right by her side, enjoying themselves and life. You never know what the future holds, one day you're sitting at a cafe enjoying a lovely cup of coffee and the next you can be clobbered with a fish to the head. This story is about love, friendship and how you just need to be happy and embrace what comes your way. In the end you will always have your friends right there through think and thin. I love Molly's sense of humor I was laughing so much and Owen, oh my when you meet Owen you'll instantly start swooning over him. We go through ups and downs with Molly and you feel for her, you're right there as if you're going through it yourself. There's a point where I just gasped and my jaw was left hanging open I couldn't believe what I just read, to say I didn't see that coming is an understatement. This book is sweet and lovable, I enjoyed reading it. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Molly a photographer feels that she doesn't know how to do relationships. so when she Mets Owen and sparks fly she doesn't know how to handle it. She keeps running away from him bc she feels she's going to ruin everything. But Owen felt like it was fate them meeting and wouldn't let her go. I loved watching their relationship grow and her friendship with her friends go thru its changes. Adding another person doesn't mean you have to change yourself just means you have another person to share your life with.. I loved reading this book.
Single in Seattle: A Story about Friendship and Finding Love in the Emerald City (Book One: Reeling in Love) was a fantastic read. This is my third book I've read from this author and she is phenomenal. I was pulled in from the very first page. The way she describes scenes you feel as your sitting there with these characters, it amazes me how much detail she puts into each scene. At one point I thought I smelled the ocean. This is an easy flow read and kept me wanting more. I loved the bond between Molly and her two besties Emma and Mackenze, they're unbreakable. As with any friendship you have your ups and downs, but this trio find away to stay strong and move forward. The chemistry between Logan and Molly is intense and you can't help but to fight for them to become something special, but with Molly's insecurities will Logan break down the walls or will Molly walk away from Mr. Right? You'll want to read and find out. Awesome read. Well done Mrs. Herrmann...
Molly had everything a 30 something woman could want - a career as a photographer to some of the most gorgeous models, a studio to shoot them in with a killer view & best friends who'd do anything for her. The only thing missing from her picture perfect life is a guy to share it with!
So when she visits the Pike Place fish market the last thing she expects is to be hit by a flying fish!
But when it happens, the tosser apologises but Molly doesn't hear or see anything more than her dream man with hypnotic gray eyes.
Logan has a challenge on his hand. From the moment he hit Molly with that fish, call it fate or a serendipitous moment, he knows Molly is it for him! All he has to do is convince her.
Gloria had done it again!
Another amazing book filled with the friendships we want and the relationship we envy. This is a fun, light hearted look at what life's really like if you are... Single in Seattle
Gloria knows friendship and coffee! This book was so good and the feel of the friendship was so real to me. And coffee! I can not wait to see what the rest of these friends end up! Thank you Gloria for another great read!
First read by Gloria Hermann and will most definitely will be reading more!! This story takes you on a journey about Molly, and her two best friends Tiffany and Mackenzie all single and living in Seattle!! Molly is a Professional Photographer and wants to find the one!! Then she meets the sexy Fisherman Owen by being hit in the head by a fish!! Molly has feelings for Owen, but is worried about entering the relationship!! Owen not wanting to give up!! Fantastic story and ending!! Hope we get Tiffany and Mackenzie's story!!
Mollys a single girl in Seattle and does NOT expect to find love. But with her girlfriends around her and a busy job she lives, she has it all right?
This hilarious, yet heart bursting read makes us all ale a look at our friendships and relationships and just grin at all the girls mentioned.
Logan...oh swoon! This man has got to be bloody incredible.
The story of the newly found pair and their developing love is one of natural ups and downs but there is never a dull moment and you can't help but leave this book on a feel good high!
This was a beautifully written story of friendship between three woman and their struggles in life and finding love. The first story focuses on Molly and her struggles with finding love even though she gets to photograph beautiful men most days. We meet her best friends Emma and Mackenzie and find a little bit about them . Loved this book so much can't wait to find out more about Emma's story in book two. Would highly recommend to others.
I have a problem when people who claim to be friends acting like two year-olds. Don't get me wrong, I do understand friends fight, however, acting like you're two, is a bit much especially since the author waxed poetic at how lovely and mature said friends were at some point.
This book was all kinds of boring for me. I can't given remember tell MC's name. But apparently she's a successful photographer--like I've never read that plots line before. as I trudged along reading, I was yawning and seriously wondering when this was going to actually have a plot.
Sadly, it didn't.
Even the MC getting clocked by a fish didn't help.
This thing called a story lacked in every possible way.
Reeling in love reminds me of Sex and the City. It's funny, it's sexy and it's not only about love. It's about friendship. Molly has a great career and fabulous friends. Despite being surrounded by hot male models all day (she is a talented photographer) she tries to keep away from complicated relationships. Until she meets Owen. Get ready to laugh and fall in love, not just with Owen but with Molly's witty personality. And make sure you have the second book Puppy love at hand. Great read, like any book from Gloria Herrmann.
This was just an okay book in my opinion. I felt like I was continuously asking myself questions and hoping to find the answers on the next page only to discover more questions.

There are two things that I really loved about this book…
1. It’s a relatable, real life love story
And
2. The city of Seattle is a fully developed secondary character
Hell, who am I kidding I loved the entire book!
Reeling in Love is not only relatable but it is fun and sexy and laugh-out-loud funny. Ms. Herrmann has written a beautiful story of love.
Molly is a real character with real problems. She could be any woman in the world. She has a heart of gold and a strong addiction to coffee <--- a girl after my own heart.
Owen is everything you want in a Book Boyfriend and real life Boyfriend. He his kind, gentle and oh so sexy… never mind the fact that he has a good job, owns his own home and is creative!
I love a story that I literally fall into and see myself as the main character. The trial and tribulations that Molly, Owen and their friends encounter are everyday problems that you can I can encounter just with a beautiful happy ending <--- which we all wish for anyway.
This was my first book by this writer. I thought going into this book it was going to be about finding love but I got much more than that. This book showed me a deep friendship between three women. I loved the different personalities each of these women had. It made the story relatable.
There were times I wish you had more of Molly and Owen's story. You got to see their connection more at the end of the story than the beginning. But once you kept reading, you start to understand their relationship and how they got there so fast.
Molly was annoying (personal opinion) until the end of the book. I'm not sure why she kept going back and worth. She was lucky Owen liked her because I'm not sure of many men that would put up with that.
Overall this was a cute story. I loved the friendship between the three women! Owen was super patient and kind. A good leading male character! Tiffany was funny! I'm hoping she will find her love and Mac and the bouncer will get their story!
This was the first book by Gloria Herrmann, that I've had the pleasure of reading!!!! I will forever be a fan!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Read!!!!!!! Kudos, Gloria!!!!! YOU KILLED IT!!!!!!!!
As a photographer myself I really enjoyed this book. The characters were very thought out and I loved the story. The story was a bit of an emotional roller coaster with Molly not being able to make up her mind but Logan was amazing and didn't give up. Logan gets 5 stars in my book and Molly 3 LOL - I also loved the unexpected turn toward the end (the conflict at the end)
I would like to see dual POV from Molly & Logan if the story continues, I always like to see the guys POV as well-but that is just a personal preference.
I hope this is a series that follows the stories of her friends as well and continues up with more of what's going on with Molly & Logan - I will definitely be watching for the next book in this series and by this author!
I really enjoyed reading this novel. Since I'm usually not drawn to novels of an erotic nature, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Gloria Herrmann managed to downplay the eroticism and basically include it as a way to express the closeness of the relationship between the photographer and the fisherman. I enjoyed getting to see how the relationship blossomed and flourished, and getting to peek into the lives of her best friends while her own life gets turned upside down. Get ready to experience lots of tender moments, fun experiences (I'm a fan of the idea of the week-long challenge and always seeking out the perfect cup of joe), and struggles that come along with settling into a new relationship. I recommend this read to individuals that enjoy romance on the lighter side of eroticism.
Single in Seattle: A Story about Friendship and Finding Love in the Emerald City (Book One: Reeling in Love) was a fantastic read.
This is my seventh book I've read from this author and she is amazing at what she does.
