This is no "bored" game! When your dad normally gets his kicks hanging out on the rings of Saturn, finding a unique Father's Day gift is a real dilemma. But Sabrina thinks she has the perfect solution for her warlock Witchopoly, a magical new board game. Everyone thinks it's just part of the game when Sabrina's dad loses his powers and Salem gets a double dose of magic. But when they're all sent to a realm full of monsters, suddenly they're not having fun anymore. Sabrina's dad can't rescue them -- he's a mere mortal now. And Salem -- well, with all that magic, he's got a world to conquer! Is Sabrina's magic strong enough to save her father and herself? And save Salem from himself?
Precis när jag klagar att det varit tråkiga böcker kommer den här guldklimpen upp. Egentligen fem stjärnor i den här serien men känner att jag inte riktigt kan ge dessa böcker så höga betyg då jag är så försiktig med mina femmor.
2.5/5. Definitely not the best in the series or even top 10. I was most irritated by Sabrina calling Salem cutesy names like her “baby”. Just no. I liked the crazy board game and the Jumanji vibes. Read in June for its Father’s Day theme.
My son was teasing me the other day. A couple of weeks ago he saw me reading a book based on the Angel TV series. Then it was a book based on the Charmed TV series. So I went for a hat trick. I remembered I had a book based on the Sabrina TV series, and here it is. It's really a fun read. It's Father's Day, so Sabrina finds a great gift for her dad. It's a board game called Witchopoly. But this is Sabrina, and nothing goes easily! Witchopoly isn't such a fun game for father and daughter. Magic problems and cat problems never go well together. If you loved the TV show, I'm sure you'll enjoy this book!
This is a very interesting Sabrina book as it could be taken two different ways. The basic idea is that Sabrina wants to buy her father a gift and gets a game called witchopoly. She doesn't know, though, that it's defective and dangerously so.
Salem becomes affected by the game and becomes a monster, wanting to take over the world that they are in (which isn't the Earth) and take over the Earth too. The whole thing has Sabrina and her father trying to play the game and get a chance to restore everything to normal while they are being pursued by Salem's minions. Hilda and Zelda do their best to get help for the two (showing how strongly they care about Sabrina).
Here's where the two ways to look at it fits in. One, it can be viewed entirely as a comedy and if done as an actual episode would probably come across as a very funny episode.
On the other hand, in print, it appears to be very, very dark. The lives of Sabrina and her father are actually in extreme danger and it's possible that neither of them will survive. That's a pretty dark scenario. I kind of think that this book should not have been added to the series.
This was such a cute read and it reminded me so much of the tv show. This was such a throw back to the 90s. I lived the cat Salem he was always my favourite character even though he is a cat. I really enjoyed the mystery magical elements in this book. I loved being in this world of magic. Such a good read xxx
This book literally turned my world upside down. It was one of the first books with which I paved my path from being a hardcore comic girl to one that would read novels devoid of any illustrations whatsoever. Liked the book a lot; one of my real favourites.
In this story, a perilous game becomes a real-life threat to both Sabrina and her father.
I loved all of the Sabrina tales full of magic. Every story was a different adventure and some new and exciting challenge to overcome. These books made me want to have magical powers too but the ending results were hilarious.
this book is so cute, it really captures the feel of the show. the story is like a magical Jumanji, and it's a lot of fun. I accidentally read it just in time for Father's Day :) I actually wish it were a longer book, it's such a quick read.
I've read this book at least 3 times, an excellent silly romp. I hadn't read it for more than 7(?) years and I was thinking about it so I picked it up again to see if it holds up. It had some great lines and an ad in the back for 'Sizzling Soap Stars' so you know it's good.
