What happens when you are sitting back enjoying your seemingly perfect life with your husband, kid, and the house with the white picket fence and all of a sudden the lens cover is removed only to show the constant weeds and brambles that suddenly are your new reality? Do you wallow in the despair or do you move on when unexpectantly you encounter Mr. Sexy and he literally knocks you off of your feet? What's a woman to do when there are still vestiges of lingering doubt from the picture perfect facade that shimmered away as if it were just an illusory dream? Can a woman who is so scorned ruin something good before it even gets a chance to develop into something more? How long does it take the broken and damaged masquerading as perfection to be healed? Is it possible to take the chance of having it all? All of these questions and many more will be answered if you embark upon this literary journey with Tracy on "Another Side of Love."
This is my first book by this author, won't be my last. I read this book on Kindle Unlimited.
This is Chris and Tracy's story. This was a good old fashioned love story, with a couple getting to know each other, working on their trust and other relationship issues. Tracy has reasons to have trust issues as her ex-husband did the dirty on her and left with their child raise. I was so glad when she did not let that snake in the grass Monica make her doubt Chris. Chris was the a rock and I enjoyed how he loved Tracy.
This was a great story and I really enjoyed reading it.
This was a good read. I don't usually read BWWM books, but the cover caught my attention and the synopsis pulled me in. The story reminds me of some real true to life issues, especially when race is involved. I'm so glad that Tracy and Chris found each other, and that they didn't let Monica destroy what they had together.
Although there is great chemistry between Chris and Tracy, there are other issues that are not so great. I loved the way Chris stood up to his racist father and stopped Monica, in her tracks, before these two could destroy his and Tracy's relationship. I loved the "special" way they got engaged. Chris showed Tracy how much he loved her rather than "told" her. I really liked the beautiful prayer in chapter two. Now on to the "issues". Unfortunately, some terms, as well as the repetitive sex scenes, soon became tedious and annoying. In addition, there were way too many grammatical errors that totally disrupted the flow of the story. This editor owes somebody a refund!
This is my first time reading this author, and I enjoyed reading this story. Chris was exactly who Tracy needed after dealing with her ex husband. They both gave each other something that they both needed and deserved, to be treated and loved right and unconditionally. I loved how Chris and Tracy defended each other and didn't let anyone disrespect the other. I'm glad Tracy learned to trust and love again because her her heart led her to her real love Chris.
I honestly didn’t finish the book. Got to chapter 5 and waited for the story line to get better. Never happened to I continued to skip waiting to read something compelling in my skim through. No such luck this book ,story, plot characters is as dry as the Desert. Don’t waste the hours in your life you won’t get back by reading this snooze fest. Idk who has been rating in the past but omg it was like watching paint dry. Don’t do it!!!!
After giving her all to her husband, Tracy husband walked out on her and their daughter Paris. It tore her down because she thought she had the perfect marriage. Tracy picked up the pieces and moved back to her hometown. Not looking for a relationship Chris stepped in and stole her heart. Tracy had never dated outside of her race neither had Chris. Take a ride with the couple as they deal with a racist family member and friends that have doubts that they can make it. If you're looking for a hot read, one click and enjoy this story.
This story started off good, had potential but fell flat after the first chapter. There are a ton of editing mistakes, in some parts of the story, it jumps from first to third person but only like a couple of sentences, the timeline was off which was confusing making the story seem rushed. Chris and Tracy did more winking and smirking at each other it was unreal. I typically don't write reviews on "bad" reads but this one had potential it just fell flat
This was the first-ever reading a book by this new arthur. Well Me. DeBlanc, you did well.
This is a story about a well educated female who husband lived a Separate life outside his marriage. One day she came home Nd said he no longer loved her and left .
At work she had to work on a case with playboy lawyer. Work I g together turned I to something special.
Very well written with great character development. It's the kind of story that make you want to believe in that fairytale type of love you wished for as a child. Tracy & Chris weren't looking for love (or each other for that matter) but when they met there was an instantaneous attraction that neither could deny. Eagerly awaiting part two.
I've never read this author before, but it definitely won't be my last time....I Loved That Chris wouldn't allow her to push him away, he knew what he wanted and went for it. I did think there were several things thrown in that didn't need to be in the book, because there was either no conclusion or it just didn't make sense!
This was an awesome BWWM! I so enjoyed reading this book! It's like I felt the love they had for each other. I was so glad Monica didn't break them up. I will definitely be supporting your work and can't wait for the next book!!! Awesome job!
This book had a few grammatical errors as well as what, in my opinion, seems to be a prolonged time line with much repetition. However, I did enjoy it especially since they didnt fall into bed the first night.
This is my first time reading this author, but it won't be my last! I loved the story. It showed the real struggles some IR couples faced and handled it in a respectful and delicate way.
