One star for this volume, but two for the series overall. This series was abysmal. It was an absolutely convoluted disorganized mess with plot holes all over the place and tangled threads left dangling. Timelines weren't consistent, terms weren't used properly or too often (thesaurus' exist for a reason), there was the occasional anachronism and the conversations of our one-dimensional characters were ridiculous in the extreme. Such a shame because the premise had promise, but it was strung out far too long. These novellas are not standalone and should be in one volume; two at most.

Satisfying ending of the serial. I liked the ending when the curse was lifting from Ash and saying good bye to the spirits. I just have one question that is bothering me, Did i missed it or they never answered the mystery what happened to Calpurnia? I know she fell into the river and drowned but who pushed her?

Best series so far

The final book of this series and I miss the characters already. So much history within these pages. I highly recommend reading.

Excellent end of the series.

With curses, hurricanes, Carrie Jo reuniting with her mother, and finally having her baby, 'The Sun Rises Over Seven Sisters' wraps the series up nicely.

The final book (tear) in the Seven Sisters series. I zoomed right through this story line. I was excited to meet Baby Boy. I was eager to be introduced to CJ's Mom. I needed to know Olivia's connection to Isla and Karah and finally got to see Ashland's tie in with Isiah Cottonwood.

Things connected, which makes this series great, outstanding...in my book. I was charged up to read...and keep reading - book after book to reach #6.
I should mention that I started this series backwards. I read Idlewood first and it was refreshing to finish that series of books and back track to Seven Sisters and connect the dots.

Hands down, the best books I have read in a while. I loved connecting to the characters and finding the mystery and putting the pieces together. Although I will say that I am left wondering about Delilah and what became of her. And, perhaps Karah as well.

I guess those might be for another book, which I am certain M.L. has written that I have just not yielded to date...yet!

MUST READ THIS AUTHOR!!!

Only exceptional writing can usually keep readers interested in a series – especially one that is six books long! This final installment had much more merit than a couple of the books. While the plotline seemed to slightly convulse here and there, the story was much more believable and fluid. I was a little more engaged with this final chapter of the Stuart story and Bullock intertwined some of the loose ends in previous books. It was definitely a good ending for the series. I gave it four starts simply because I wanted a deeper and richer content to the novellas. The premise is enticing; I just wanted to “feel” more.

It should be noted that there are additional series that tangent from this one. Although I did enjoy this series, I do not think I will be reading those at the moment.

I agree with some of the other reviewers, that these books could have been combined into one. Overall this was a nice easy no-brainer read, the characters were all likeable. Personally I didn't care for the swing to religion and praying in the last two segments. I think that there were quite a few gaps, especially when TD, Bette, and Mia were eliminated. For me, this book was okay, but I don't think I'll read any of the others by this author

Satisfing in the best way

What a talent. M.L.Bullock has a genuine way of capturing your mind and telling a story that is astronomical. Southern living at its best and worst. Love, mystery, ghosts gentle and nasty and always the happy ending that leaves us wanting more. Standing ovation to this authoress. The art of telling a tale is just that an art and you my dear, have the natural ability to thrill and hold your readers. Well done

Thrilling

My favourite of the series so far and this book feels final but as it touched on Calpurnia and Muncie. It would be interesting to see their story. They have been the missing part of the story. I wonder if there is any connection to Carrie Jo and what does the future lie ahead for CJ and Ashland now that he has made a huge change to their lives

I love this series & this book.

I love this series & this book. The characters are great. They are interesting & feel so real. I love how they both have super powers. The town the story takes place in has a long history & makes the story even more interesting. I recommend this book and the other books.

The End 😭

This was one of the best series I've read in a long time!! I'm just sorry it had to end. The wrap up was well done and filled in a lot of blanks. I loved the ending, though, because it all ended well. I highly recommend this series.

Sun Rising

I'm glad Ash was able to overcome the curse. I thought him going overboard was surprising. I'm not sure how he figured out how to beat the curse but he did. And the book didn't go into the birth of AJ. No matter, I can't wait to read the next one.

Tied up nicely

Ok, I’m not going to lie…..Isla is still a psychopath and though damaged by circumstances, she is still a totally unsympathetic character. For everyone else, I’m glad the ending turned out the way it did.

Good ending

The book moved along fine most of the time but there were times that it seemed to repeat it self and times that it seemed they were just trying to use up space and not much was said. Over all I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to a friend.

Liked/not liked

This one is good, but the whole religious thing to much. I like that the ghost story mystery thing is great and the characters are too.

7 Sisters book 6

The last book was a little hard to follow since it had been awhile since reading the first books. I liked the story and like how it ended.

The Sun Rises Over Seven Sisters

A whirl wind ending to a great series. I only wish some questions were answered, such as what was CJ's connection to Seven Sisters and Muncie?
I think it would've been a good idea to put a family tree of sorts at the end of the book. I don't know about anyone else, but after this many books, and characters, keeping the Beaumont-Cottonwood family relations straight is rather a challenge. Not to mention all the off shoots of relatives such as the Page's.

This book was like the previous in the series where each chapter was a different POV and fortunately it was labeled at the top of each one who your were reading because it was easy to get "lost" if you didn't know who the POV was. This was the last of the Seven Sisters books and felt a little rushed. I liked most of it, but the last couple of chapters just got to religious for my own personal tastes.

Overall I liked the series, but each "book" was too short to actually be a book and they should have been combined to be either 2 or 3 books instead of 6.

Loved this series, hated to see it end. Of all the books in this series this one seemed to have the least amount of detail. The author seemed to hurry through it to get it finished. Could easily read more in this series. Will need to check out ML Bullock's other series. Will definitely read more by this author.

Ok....this might end but I really would like to have more details about the history of the house because it does not seem to follow the original story
