I could wholeheartedly relate with the character Brain in this book. No one really seeing you at all, no one recognizing that you even exist and yet using this sad realization to your advantage and forging it into a power under your control, is something I've done just like Brain did. Sometimes being invisible to the world has its advantages. I know of that personally, but it also has a disadvantage because nobody really sees you, your depth. They either don't see you despite the fact you are right there in plain sight or they choose to see what they want to see and define you by that, instead of looking beyond that one thing they think they know about you and not realizing there are many facets of you that they've missed, and there lies the tragedy.

What a great time travel plus friendship book. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Jayden, Aneki, Addie, and the ringleader. This book was interesting and made me appreciate the game of baseball and the history of Salem.

I think there is going to be more adventures, I hope so anyway. Dan Nimak really did a great job of building this story. I liked everyone and was caught up in the story. I was so glad to receive this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. This might be considered Middle-grade reading, I as an adult enjoyed the characters and the story immensely.

Brain (12, narrator), Addison “Addi” (f, 13), Jaden (12), & Blue (Addi’s dog) were known as the Blue Team.
1 of their hangouts was the Moose Park (Sommerstreet Park).
Joe’s Corner Grocery was also a cool place.
The 3 time travelers: Brain, Addi, & Blue decided to go to 6/23/1693 (17th. Century), Salem Village.

They were also looking for Jaden who must have ended up somewhere else.
Aneika met them. She had been sold to Ms. Nellie who lies in Boston, MA.
Through the timeline 1693-1694, Aneika introduces them to several of the local town folks & their cultural habits.
The time travelers brought her back to their home turf.
A funny thing is Blue found Jayden Jackson.
The Boston Red Sox’s were playing the Toronto Blue Jays for the right to go to the World Series.

What is Project D?
Where will their adventures take them next?
Kids are visual, I would have liked to see black/white or colored pictures of the characters.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written MS age adventure book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great MS age adventure movie, animated cartoon, or mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

I was a Goodreads giveaway winner of a kindle edition of this book. This book was a wonderful story of friendship that kept my interest throughout. I am a middle-school teacher and I think that my students would definitely enjoy this story. I love that the main character's gender was never revealed, so that kids could visualize Brain as a boy or girl, allowing them to relate to the character in whatever way is most relevant to them. Plus, I absolutely love dogs!

I was a goodreads giveaway winner of a kindle edition of this book. Brain is a 12 year old boy who can make himself invisible and time travel. His friends Addi and Jaden and a dog named Blu cannot go with him if they are holding on to him. Brain can go where ever and whenever he wants if it is in the past. During one of their travels they meet another girl in the late 1600s. they are surprised she can see them because they are invisible. she also has powers and when she blinks she too can time travel. During one of their travels in the past they lose Jaden. They want to get help of the other girl to help them find Jaden. there are secrets and surprises along the way. don't want to give too many spoilers.I found this to be a fun book to read. I think it is aimed and kids at middle school age but I found this to be a good book to read as well.

I'm guessing since the character in this book are all in the 12-13 year old range, that this is book intended for middle grade kids. But I can tell you that I enjoyed it quite a bit. It doesn't read as a "kids" book in either the plot complexity or the language. In fact, I learned that a fortnight means two weeks! It actually challenged my thinking a time or two to figure out all the complexities of time travel.
The original plot line begins with a visit back to Salem in the days of the witch trials and one of the teen girls who started that whole incident is one of the main characters in this story. It was interesting have read "The Crucible" last year to have one possible scenario of who/why the whole hysteria started all those years ago explained in this story.
I'd certainly love to read something else by this author regardless of the intended audience.

Has Anyone Seen My Brain? By Dun Nimak. A “hold your breath” thriller. A phenomenal fantasy. A “keep you on the edge of your seats” mystery! If you love dogs, you must read this book. If you want to read a good mystery, you want to read this book. I couldn’t put the book down before finishing. The book is worth reading to lose yourself into many timelines of travel. The scenes of teens who go blank and disappear are captivating. On the flip side, other teens go through time exploring the past and the future. During their excursion, the teens manage to visit Planet D which propels the reader into a world of comic adventures. The names of the leading characters are quite amusing. A must-read page turner. Suitable for grades 8th through 12th into adults.

Welcome to time travel! This story introduces us to a group of kids who entertain themselves by popping into different time periods. But trouble arises when they try to fix a situation by disturbing the past. The fun-loving characters are the heart and soul of this fast paced story. Full of twists and turns that middle grade readers are sure to enjoy.

The story follows the friendship of three young boys as they time travel through the past and various planets. There are twists and turns as they learn about alternative universes. They learn there are consequences for time travel. This easy to follow and read science fiction tale will appeal to middle school and junior high school readers.

I am not the audience for this book but it sounded fun so I got a free copy in exchange for a review.
My biggest problem with this book is that it is all over the place, never quite linking together.
There is a boy named Brain who can travel through time and he has a dog named Blue who can make him invisible. He goes on adventures with his two best friends, Jaiden and Addi. One day they decided to do something "good" with Brain's powers and wipe Jaiden out of existence. Sort of. Jaiden has been born to a different family and looks different (I wish the author had said HOW he looked different but descriptions seem faux pas with modern writing) but he still has the same 'oh so common' name and still loves the Red Sox's. Which time line will Brain permit Jaiden to complete?
There is also the story of Anekia who was one of the accusers of the Salem witch trials. Details of the events are kept child friendly. I'd just like to know how a Colonial America Puritan has an African name. (Two A names makes it very confusing in parts but Addi just seems to be window dressing, anyway.) In this version of the trials Anekia was forced to lie by an adult who wanted money. She is also a time traveler (Wouldn't that be enough to have HER being accused of being a witch?) who sees the Blue Team in spite of being invisible. She travels with them is able to take them to the future. She also helps them find Jaiden in his new life.
There is also a secret time travelling society. Sometimes they help, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they give answers, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they send the kids to stop a murderer after explaining why no one is supposed to change the past.
The ending was unsatisfying.

This was a delightful and surprising story. The premise enticed me from the start but seeing how it all unfolded was entertaining. It’s a very touching story with a coming-of-age significance and a “It’s a Wonderful Life” impact. When I started the story, it seemed all too simple, but it became pleasantly complex soon enough.

I do feel that this is best for a much younger reader. I think there is a certain level of enjoyment lost that, unfortunately is only inferred, once full maturity and the truths of life have set in. If I’d read this as a 10 – 13-year-old, I think it would have blown my mind. There were some issues that seemed juvenile, but then it is a story for and about kids. Still, overall it’s a very sophisticated and clever story.

There were a few sci-fi elements involving invisibility, space travel, and time travel that I wish had been better explained, but that’s only because I tend to overthink things.

This was an enjoyable read. I’m recommending it to all my teacher friends who like sci-fi and any preteens I think might like it.

I often enjoy reading children's and middle grade books, even though I'm an adult. Usually I don't have much problem escaping back to my childhood and reading the book as I might have when I was that age. With this one, though, I just couldn't. It was so watered down and poorly written I couldn't focus on anything but how truly awful it was. I gave up after about 50 pages.

Brain Travel

Time and place travel; forward, back, and across town with teenagers exploring, convoluting the continuum, and making things right.

Pleasing easy read. You want to see what happens beyond the next bend (even if the quantum physics of the storyline confuses, digresses, and contradicts). An abrupt ending leaves you wanting more.

But worth the ride/read.
