He was my brother's best friend, my first crush, my first love...my first everything.
And then he betrayed me.
How many times have I thought about it? How many times have I relived the moment when I found out he left town without ever saying a word?
And how long has the memory of him consumed my every waking thought?
Three years.
That’s how long it’s been since I’ve seen or heard from him, the only man I ever loved.
The man I now despise.
But suddenly, without warning, Landon Hill is back. And to make matters worse, he’s somehow become rich beyond imagination, and he’s opening some mega business in town and walking around like he owns everything in sight.
Including me.
But I’ll never be able to forgive him, even if the fire still rages between us. In the end, I know that he’s never to be trusted. He’s a filthy liar.
Please work on the editing. It truly takes away from the flow of the story. I was entertained and then distracted multiple times because of basic missed edits.
What a roller coaster! After finding out that Landon's Father passed away, Taryn returns home to be with him. No matter what has happened between them, Taryn knows the only place she wants to be is by Landon's side and in his bed. Landon is in a very dark place and he warns Taryn to stay away but she knows she has to give him what he needs no matter what. Taryn refuses to leave Landon and tells him she can handle anything and she does just that and enjoys it more than she ever thought she would! Wow...this book is full of twists and turns and is scorching hot; can't wait to see what happens next!!! I love this series, and the story will keep you on the edge of your seat to find out what happened next. I enjoyed reading this story because it was full of emotional angst, scorching love scenes, a compelling storyline, and this book was well written by Paige North. I also love how the romantic relationship builds between Landon and Taryn. Taryn is so in love with Landon that she will do anything for him. All the drama and intrigue happens when Taryn flies back home after she finds out that Landon’s father died. Will Taryn be at the funeral with Landon, after discovering he is married? Will Landon’s wife attend? Trust me, you will enjoy reading this book, and you will not be disappointed because this book will pique your interest. I cannot wait to read book 5.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Wow, you know the saying that you may know a person but you REALLY don't know what goes on behind closed doors in their home. This book is that saying brought to reality. It's amazing what Landon had to endure as a child and teenager. It gives the reader an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of Landon's deep-rooted issues. Taryn still seems to be fighting an internal battle as far as her feelings for Landon are concerned but she's definitely in his corner. I have a feeling that Alexa isn't going to play nice.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. The story line really gets interesting in this 4th book. When Landon's dad died, she flies back to be there for him. When she finds him in a mess she says she's not leaving. With everything against them, his wife and her brother, they fight for their love enough though he still hasn't told her. I love it when he puts the gold-digger wife in her place time and time again. You heart goes out to him even though you know he can't be trusted.
I don't like to book bash. But this series was a rip off. Books 2-5 didn't go past 50%. 2.99 for books that ended before the halfway point. And why do you suppose? So we would spend another $2.99 to finish the story. One book actually ended at 16%. And another at 27%. Could have been a good story if you didn't feel taken advantage of.
Taryn and Landon have much to overcome in this book. She is still trying to get over him leaving her 3 years ago. He is dealing with the death of his abusive father and a wife he never should have married. Hoping there is a HEA soon!
I enjoy the book, I really do. I just wish we would get to the end. I'm tired of waiting. The book only lasts to about 50%. I hate this waiting game! But I love the storyline.
I've enjoyed reading your stories Don't know if I will remember that there is more to read I don't like to keep waiting for more books and it costs way too much to keep buying them. And the extra books at the end I have already bought.
Lots more to go I'm loving the characters of this series and its a great story line but the books are quite short but a great read can't wait for the next book .
