Love You #1

Love Life

Rate this book
From international bestselling author, Lexy Timms, comes a forbidden romance that'll set your heart racing.

She'd given up on love. He didn't have time for it. She thinks he's a stuck up pretty boy who doesn't care about anyone but himself, and he thinks she's a stuck up prude who wouldn't know how to "put out" if she tried. And yet...

Antonio Riverra AKA Tony Rivers comes from a lower class background, raised in the rough streets of gang-infested L.A. His only saving grace was his mother who was a dance teacher. However, Tony kept his knowledge of ballet a highly-guarded secret. He’s applied for early admission to a number of California performing arts colleges, but earned a scholarship to small but prestigious school, the San Oaho College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Allison (Allie) Holbrook is the rebellious daughter of a rich man. She doesn’t know her mother, as she was abandoned on her father’s doorstep when she was three. Since a paternity test confirmed she was his, Jefferson Holbrook took financial but not emotional responsibility for her. He had a nanny care for her until she was old enough to go to boarding school. She’s had the best of everything but good role models. Because her father controls everything about her life, and Jefferson believes the only thing a rich man’s daughter should do is marry a rich man’s son, he sends her off to the San Oaho College of Visual and Performing Arts while he finds her a husband.

Does love have limits? At what cost?

Out of nowhere, when Allie least expects it, Tony crashes into her life. Now, the stakes have never been higher.

This is steamy romance, NOT erotica.

Favorite Quote:
She had a way of making him feel like he was the most important man in the world. Not that she worked at it. But the way she smiled at him made him feel like a man, for all his twenty years. And she cared about what happened to him which, if he admitted it, touched him to his core. Nope. He was a winner as long as Allison was by his side. There was no way he was going to screw it up.

A great surprise

I took a chance on this one thinking I wouldn't like it, seeing not many reviews. Now I know never judge a book buy how many reviews it has. I do wish it was longer to finish the story. I recommend this, if you like a well written story and the H and h are both likable too.

Great read!

I really liked this book. It was a little to descriptive in the intimate parts for my taste, but I can't wait to find out what happens next. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

🟥READER BEWARE.

HEAVY SPOIERS.
🟥

⏺Another book which I read before I joined GR. If you have been keeping track of my reviews you know that I NEVER read books like these. But I thought you might come across this one, so I should review this for you.

*Internally screaming that I am reviewing this coz I nothing better to do.*

⛔SPOILERS-

⏺NOT A STANDALONE.
⏺3 books in series.

🟩I read this book and half of the 2nd book.

🟩I only have spoilers till that point. Also, I dont have minute details like..... what was the Hero like? What was h like? At what point do they kiss? How's the push-pull , who's the main pursuer and all that. I am sorry I don't have the answers.

😶❎Even though I do not have spoilers beyond that, I'm sure you'll get the Idea what's gonna happen after that.

💜 ALLIE-

✅Rich-snooty privileged upper-class h.

✅Guys, she wasn't THAT bad, the blurb made her sound like a little beeeshhh.

✅She fell for the Hero pretty hard and fast, so ..... she was a good person at heart. But really week yk. You'll find out later.

✅She's never been in love before.

✅Against her wishes she's been sent to Performing Academy by her VERY EXTREMELY aaaaahhh!!! Controlling father.

✅I wanted to just reach inside the book and squeeze his neck.

🖤 TONI-

✅The H grew up in the hood. Lol, that's the first time I said it out loud. So, the H grew up with gangs and all.

✅He wants to be a balled dancer. AND FOR WHICH HE GETS MADE FUN OF ALL THE TIME BY OTHER STUDENTS IN THE ARTS AND PERFORMING ACADEMY.

😶 The ACTUAL spoilers lol-

✅Neither in love before.

🟥❗ EXTREME OM DRAMA-

✅The h is expected to marry some rich trust-fund baby.

✅The OM, Ethan, Eamon, Earl? don't remember.

✅The OM, who the hs father just..... loveeees, is studying film direction at the same college.

✅He causes a LOT of problem b/w the couple. Till the last book. He wants the h to remain silent, head down and just do what he says.

✅The OM LOAATHES the H.

✅The h HATES him.

⛔🟥 SEPARATION-

✅In Book#1 against the hs dad and OM's wishes, MCs get into a relationship. Fall deeeeeeply in love.

✅They separate at the end of the book one, because hs father threatens her that he'll kill Toni (every low budget S-Asian movie ever) if she does not quit college and marries Ethan, Earl?.

✅Without any word she leaves college and goes with her dad.

❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗END OF BOOK#1.

Spoilers re-loaded-

✅No OP scene in any of the books.

✅Book#2 stars 4 years later.

✅Allie is married to Ethan, Eamon, Earl?, and SHE HAS A 4 YEAR OLD KID!

🤔Can CSI watchers tell me who the kid's dad is? Yup! Its To-fucking-ni. The H from book#1.

❎The hs husband aka THE OM, does NOT know that.

✅Allie never told anyone the true paternity.

⏺⏺Now, in book#2 , the hs husband is VERY abusive and he's also become Steven Spielberg of Hollywood. Made it big eh? Asshole.

🟩The H gets a role in one of the movies of THE OM, and this is where he meets the h after 4 long years.

🟥🟥THE END.🟥🟥

🟩Don't know what happened after that.

🟩Don't care.

🅾One, thing I can confirm is , they WERE NOT CELIABTE IN SEPARATION. No one ever is. Duh.

3/5. I somewhat liked the story. it reminded me of melody grace's dance story. I didn't like how intsa lovey the story was and there were grammar errors. I actually liked the cliff hangar and it somewhat intrigues me where the story will go. I liked the discussion of admission policies concerning race and diversity. I really liked how somewhat accurate the depiction of the issue was shown.

Tony & Allison
This is the first time I’ve read this author and probably the last. While thought the storyline had potential, the amount of grammatical errors and some serious plot discrepancies, the book ends at 76%, and finally it is a cliffhanger with apparently two more books to finish the story.

I enjoyed this book.
Fast paced, sexy, and your typical guilty pleasure.
I really like the main character Tony, and quickly wanted to scream at his enemies to leave him alone and let him dance and love who he wanted!

This is a wonderful love story, too bad the unloving father had to end book one. Most definitely looking forward to reading more!

Cliff hanger

This is a fairly good book. It has a good plot and interesting characters. However, if I had known it was a Cliff hanger I wouldn't have read it.

I wasn't excited about this book in the beginning but, it grabbed my interest as it went on. Unfortunately it was a cliff-hanger. But, it was worth the time. The narrator did an excellent job.

Good story, ends in a cliffy, but I enjoyed it enough to read the next one. I liked the "Bosses" series, so I'm working my way through this author's stories.

Poor Tony Rivers aka Antonio Rivera is from the wrong side of the tracks and has fallen for the wrong girl. The antagonist is a bully and if Blake Smithson doesn't get the girl then no one can. Then there's are sweet girl Allison that has a father who could care less as long as its someone he approves of. In the end you want to throttle her father and hope that things change in the future.

A contemporary romance with a twist. The guy, Antonio Rivera (Tony Rivers) comes from a poor, bad background...gangland LA, but thanks to his deceased mother, he can dance (ballet); the girl, Allison, is wealthy at least money-wise, emotional-wise not so much since he father is emotionally distant.

Yet, the pair clicks from the moment they meet at Sam Olauh, an arts school. It shouldn't be, but it is steamy from the moment they first kiss. Blake Smithson, however, upon first laying eyes of Tony, wants to destroy Tony's chances at the school and with Allie. And he may just succeed.

Channeling 'West Side Story' in more ways than one (they star in the production together), it is a matter of star-crossed lovers and vengeful classmates.

Will they take a chance on each other, or will happiness elude them like Maria and Tony? Will Blake succeed in getting diversity student Tony kicked out, or will others take the fall for the mayhem he causes?

A few too many typos and a cliffhanger ending makes this reader wonder if it is worth finding out whether a happily ever after is possible for the two. On the other hand, the What-the-tuck trends were kept to a minimum (see: a romance with a twist).
