If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours forever. If it doesn’t, then it was never meant to be.
Taylor Montgomery doesn’t do relationships. Well, she didn’t until Stephen Davenport changed everything for her; now she wants to say in one place and it terrifies her. When Taylor finds something hidden in Stephen’s desk that looks alarming like a beautiful engagement ring, she panics and takes off for parts unknown.
Taylor needs to accept her past before it ruins anything she might have with Stephen, but she’s not sure it will be that easy for him to forgive and forget. Can Taylor sift through the ashes and figure out how to have a real relationship?
Romance writer. Wife. Mother of two. Avid reader. Queen of multitasking.
Originally from the south, Alyson likes to incorporate what she knows into her books. She's lived not only on the east coast, but the west coast and a few places in between. Alyson loves sharing stories about her crazy family to anyone who will listen. Her guilty pleasures consist of coffee, country music, brunch, breaking the rules, and pedicures. And she will always be a daddy's girl.
When Alyson isn't chasing around her two kiddos, she's normally writing. Or reading. Her Kindle library is out of control. Alyson writes mainly contemporary novels and novellas with a bit of new adult mixed in.
Let's start another journey, another adventure, another wave of feelings that I know I will be reached, because if this book is like the first one it will promise ... It was with this thought when I started reading “Restless”, the second book in the” Relentless series” by Alyson Reynolds. Anyone who has read Relentless knows that much was left to say, including the story involving Taylor and Stephen. Alyson continues with a very nice and simple writing what makes us glued to the story, word by word. Taylor is a young and carefree girl, with targets set for her life but she’s too afraid to relate and deliver herself to someone. What she wants is friends with benefits and one-night stands, because of her traumatic and abusive past is the only way she knows. When a relationship begins to develop, to get deeper she just runs away. Stephen is a famous actor. The best friend of Violet, the eldest sister of Taylor and he is in love with Taylor for quite some time and what frustrates him is that he cannot make Taylor admit her feelings for him. Can she overcome the traumas of the past? The level of emotion and feeling of this book is very high, which makes us think the purpose of our lives. Is love so important? We should try to overcome our fears and look forward to happiness? Restless is a roller coaster of emotions, some good and some not so good, but in the end can everything be solved? There were chapters in which I questioned why is this happening. Alyson Reynolds I am addicted to your writing, the level of feeling that you evolve your stories is amazing, so I’m going to ask you for more books. More books to keep me awake until late at night and without no desire to go to sleep.

Taylor likes to run... from her problems, feelings, and from her love life.
Stephen has loved Taylor since they were kids, but her habit of running is starting to ware him thin.
Can these two get their act together and have their HEA? Sorta.
Taylor is quite frankly a mess. I couldn't relate to her on any level, except that she obviously loves Stephen. But her often times irrational fears? Left me not only wanting to smack her silly, but to immerse myself into the book and take Stephen away. Stephen was not without his own faults - but a severe case of jealousy after Taylor's admission of being attracted to another man? Who wouldn't be green?
This book had me pulling my hair out at times, but the secondary character and their belief that Taylor and Stephen belong together kept me invested in seeing how this all played out.
I for one need some lingering questions answered - What exactly is Rhys' relationship with Amanda? What is really going on with Mason? Will he ever get his head outta his ass before Emmy just says "I've had it" and walks away for good?
I LOVE Relentless and it led me to Alyson, who has great potential as a writer. This book just wasn't for me. The writing was amazing but Taylor really got on my nerves. The back and forth was just too drawn out. I understand that she has issues but goodness...it was just too much. One line says she never cries but yet she is sobbing through the whole book. I was not quite sure how Rhys fit into the equation other than to add some jealousy and a lead in to another story. I still have faith in Alyson's work and this may be a great book for you. I just was overly frustrated with Stephen and Taylor. I did fall in love with it toward the end when the drama came to a head and everything fell into place. Great potential as a novella but I could only take so much.
Restless is the first book I have read by Alyson Reynolds. It definitely won't be the last book that I read by her. She pulls you into the story and writes about things that are realistic in relationships and what it takes to make them work. Taylor has seen her share of relationships fail. Including her own parent's relationship. Her past teaches her to never stay still and move from place to place whenever she feels the need. Until one person shows her that others are willing to stand up and be there for someone else. Can Taylor overcome her past to allow happiness in her future? Or will she continue on the path that she has always taken in order to prevent getting hurt? Restless is a story that will show you that not every relationship, whether it's romantic, family, or friendship, is perfect. There are bumps and curves that will throw you for a loop. But, if you surround yourself with the right people, you can overcome your fears. As long as you're willing to put the work and time into it. Alyson Reynolds will pull you into the story and you won't want to stop reading it once you start. I highly recommend this story and can't wait to see what happens next in this series.
I won an ARC of Restless so this was my first time reading one of Alyson's books. Overall I enjoyed the book but a lot of times I found it very frustrating also. I know that Taylor had her issues but the way she convinced herself that Stephen didn't want her anymore and the chemistry she felt for another man really pissed me off. However, it was clear that Stephen and Taylor belong together. When they did have those moments, you always knew that they truly loved each other. I knew it was going to be a journey for them to get to where they needed to be and while I found some of the book really irritating because of Taylor and the Rhys thing that didn't make sense, once things finally started to fall into place I couldn't wait to find out how they got their happy ending. Their love story was real and very beautifully written. I will definitely be checking out the other books in the series. I truly believe that Alyson Reynolds is an author on the rise and I will be there for the ride!
I loved the story of Taylor and Stephen. I empathized with Taylor. She was a free spirit for so much of her life, and it all reflects back to the difficulties she had in her past. Stephen's patience is commendable, but she flies away anyway. How these two are going to work through this is anyone's guess.
It was a sweet, sexy, poignant story told in a style unique to Ms Reynolds. Their story had been left incomplete, and in need of telly, after reading Relentless, the first in this series. I absolutely loved all of the nuances, the difficult way the characters bounced back and forth in an effort to find what was truly most important to them here and now. The tension was palpable. The sexual energy was electric. And the story was a true triumph over shadows of the past. I look forward to whatever this author brings us next.
Tyler doesn't do serious relationships she's deeply afraid cause everyone around her ends up getting hurt so she runs. Stephen won't give up he loves Taylor so much and doesn't know what to do. Will Taylor move on? Will Taylor realize Stephen loves her and won't give up? Does Stephen have the strength to fight for Taylor? Many Twist and turns in this book. I wanted to yell at Taylor she's so selfish it drove me crazy! Stephen is every girls dream guy that loves you so much ,plus has the killer looks! I loved this book I'm hoping there is more to the story or characters! 4/5 stars Reviewed for Sweet & Spicy Reads - ARC provided for a honest review ***
I loved this book. Taylor was scared of relationships. Stephen wanted forever. She didn't know what to do. So, she did what she does best. She ran. She wasn't confident or straightforward, as so many other main characters are.
I loved watching Taylor grow into a mature woman. I loved seeing her confidence grow. I liked reading her inner thoughts.
Perfect follow-up from Relentless! I loved how Alyson Reynolds gave the characters emotional depth. I can't wait for the next book in this series!
From the start was drawn in which I love in a book. Was angry a bit because of Taylor omg she was driving me insane. But she has that I don't want a relationship thing going. Great read tho keeps you into the story. Great characters. Even tho I yelled at Taylor she had me intrigued at what would happen next.
This is the second book I read by Alyson. Once again, I was drown from the first chapter. I love how the story and characters develop. All the feelings I felt during reading is just undescribable. I can't wait for the next book to be released!
