This book throws some indepth knowledge on china's political history. How china who were economically on par with india in 1980 became super power country after US in 25 years. Though china claim themselves to be soviet communism govt, they partially or adapted to different format of governance as it demanded. As the world changes with time, they were democratic and even sometimes authoritarian. Atlast they succeeded in growing the economic condition of china faster than any one could predict. Nice read for great insight on it.
