Writing is a way to make a lot of different people do exactly what you want them to do. When I can’t get my toddler to listen to me, I turn to my characters. They always cooperate!
I currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my husband and seven year old son. I have perfected the ability to write in a noisy house and create story lines while folding laundry.
Ten Things to know about me:
1. I have a fear of whales. All whales. The noise they make. The sight of them (even on tv). I don't think this phobia has a name and I've never met anyone else who feels this way. I blame it on the 3D movie when I was 7 at the Boston Museum of Science. (Thanks Dad.)
2. When I get hungry it brings out the worst in me. My friends and family know to keep me well fed. They pack snacks now.
3. I can cook but not bake. Not even a little. Not even a box of brownies.
4. If there is a song I like it is normal to hear me listening to it a hundred times (give or take) in a row.
5. I do not, under any circumstances, read directions. Who has time for that? Making mac & cheese by the seat of my pants for the last 25 years.
6. Like a black-out drunk, I have lost hours of my life mysteriously to Pinterest. If you haven't tried it yet... don't. Save your self.
7. Before I became a mother, lots of things grossed me out. Now nothing does.
8. My favorite food is food... my least favorite food is no food. I love food. (apply the same rule to wine)
9. I do not have a green thumb. I have the kind of thumb that kills any type of plant ever given to me. Whatever kind of thumb that is... I have it.
10. Writing has changed my life. Not just the career it's created but the way I feel when I write. If you have something you love to do I hope you get the opportunity to do it.

Get in, get out, move on. Words Emmitt Kalling lives by. No attachments mean no more pain. No one to disappoint in the long run. Evie is the opposite in that she grabs hold of every moment and bad experience. She lives to the fullest instead of just existing. I received an ARC of Crazy Nights in exchange for an honest review. Was not a fan of Emmitt at first introduction but he grows on you after a while. His shield of nonchalance is his way of coping with the darkness in his soul. He has issues he needs to work though but his wounds are so deep he may not survive exposing them all. Evie and Emmitt shouldn't have worked but they did. Ever the pessimist Emmitt had closed himself off scared to take a chance, Evie looks at the bright side and is always looking for a better solution to an emotional situation. Together they made each other better because they gave each other balance and made each other happy. Crazy Nights is my first read by Danielle Stewart. She captured me. It will not be my last.
Audio Review: Crazy Nights (The Barrington Billionaires, #3) by Danielle Stewart (Author), Robin Rowan (Narrator)
He's a force of nature. For better of worse, Emmitt makes things happen. She's a walking disaster. Evie dreams in fairytales and her reality will never prove to be one. If wishes were rainbows, Emmitt and Evie would never have met. Crazy Nights isn't a match made in heaven, but Danielle Stewart provides a feast for the soul. Evie and Emmitt bring out the best and worst in each other. He forces her to grow up and she reminds him what it means to dream. In a world where life isn't always beautiful sometimes our hearts need a bit of fantasy. (4 stars)
Ths book had me in a roller coaster of emotion. I was thrilled, I was confused, I feel sorry and annoyed at the characters too, but most of all I learned a lot from both Emitt and Evie.
Just like most of Danielle's books, this story deals a lot about family and their issues. I get where Emitt was coming from but I also understand how Evie felt the way she did. At some point in the story, I felt like Evie should just give up her ideals and go on with Emitt's plan because it sounds better for everybody. But in the end, I was happy she stood up for what she believe in.
I was holding my breath when the news about Emitt came out. How Danielle weaved and spun the story was so good that even though you may have an idea what might coming next you still find yourself surprised when it finally came.
I love the story of hope, trust, and faith that this story delivers. This for me is the best one from all of Danielle's contribution to the series. Of course I'm still looking forward to the next one. Because with Danielle Stewart, every story just gets better and better.
Addiction is a horrible thing to deal with and the author covers it well as a backstory in Crazy Nights. Emmit's father is addicted to gambling and Evie's mother is addicted to pain pills and those addictions come to a head as Emmit is trying to put together s security plan for James, Matthew, and Asher Barrington.
Watching Emmit trying to bulldoze his way to a solution while Evie uses logic and a kind heart to find a solution really draws the storyline to a conclusion.
Very enjoyable book with a serious tone. Book stands on its own, but is more enjoyable if you read the first two.
Overall opinion: Much better than the last book. Parts were a bit unrealistic and the H was a pretty solid brute through most of the book. Ending was good as well!
Brief Summary: No need to expand on the author's summary.
This is Crazy Nights, book 3 of The Barrington Billionaires series, written by Danielle Stewart. I liked this book and I love how we are slowly going through the Kaling family while still including our Barrington friends. You will want to read all of the interconnected series as well. Great series
Emmitt was a guy I was hoping would be in the next book! Always the protector never let anyone help him until evie comes into the picture. Following him to Boston and doing crazy things like pretending to be an FBI agent! I sure hope this isn’t the last book!
Eve Pike has been blackballed from the acting world for standing up for her friend, Jessica. No matter how much she tries, she messes up every job she's given. Emmett Kalling is determined to protect those he loves, even when they don't want that protection. He does *not* want to be paired with Eve, but is given no choice.
Decent story, especially the story line about Emmitt's father's gambling problems, but as with others in this series by this author, the sex scenes were rather crude.
This is book 3 of Danielle's books in the combined series with Jeannette Winters and Ruth Cardello. Emmitt is a strong alpha male who is the "protector" of his family. Emmitt was put in Evie's world when he was pretending to be a bodyguard for his brother’s girlfriend. The chemistry was there from the beginning but Emmitt was trying to ignore it because he felt he was no good and always walked away and was the screw-up. Evie was ever the optimistic she saw the good in people and was always trying to help. This is where they butt heads a lot because Emmitt is ever the pessimist and does not see good in people. It is his way to keep his walls intact. Evie did not give up she was getting to Emmitt but he did what he does best and got angry at her and ran after he felt his walls crumbling. He used the excuse of his father and because Evie did what she did in order to keep his family safe he had to take him far away but that was only part of the problem. The real problem was she was breaking his walls. Evie thinks he left her and is miserable. She goes home only to run into a friend of hers who conveniences her to get out of their town she doesn’t belong there she is too big for this place and she will make it on her own. She goes back to Boston and try’s to start over, and gets a small job doing kid shows through Sophie Barrington. Emmitt stays in Africa with his father where they are bonding some as his father receives the treatment he needs. Emmitt has a very series accident and almost dies. His family decides to bring him back to the states for better treatment. Evie finally returns Jessica’s calls to find out about the accident. Emmitt’s family is told he has a severe brain injury and it is not known what his condition will be like when or if he wakes up. Matthew has this all on his shoulders as he has to make the decision to operate or not. I don’t want to say more then to read this story and find out the conclusion of Emmitt and Evie’s story. Will they get their HEA????
This is book three of Danielle Stewart's Barrington Billionaire Series which also coincides with her aunties Ruth Cardello's and Jeannette Winters books of the same name and all the books link in with each other.
Meet the ever brooding Emmitt Kalling. Emmitt is never satisfied unless he’s smashing something up or injuring someone. It can be an option of two things, punching bag at the gym or some idiot’s face at the bar he's in at the time. Emmitt’s definitely not picky. Since Emmitt arrived home from his last deployment with the army. Emmitt’s itching for some good action. But Emmitt still only finds the same problems he faced before he enlisted to join the army.
Meet the ever shy and naive Evie Pike who has been exiled from her budding acting career which also have possible few future prospects. Evie is on a journey to find her purpose in life. Evie discovers her path is only paved with such disappointment and the all coffee she keeps spilling on her future bosses. Evie definitely feels painfully unqualified for everything and then she realizes a chance to hop a plane with Emmitt. Evie compares Emmitt to a ripcord on a parachute. Emmitt tells her that she’d better pull it before it’s too late.
Evie’s so desperate to connect. Emmitt’s a master at no strings attached affairs. Emmitt and Evie's attraction is magnetic, but their opinions are total opposites. They do say opposites attract each other. Will their sizzling chemistry be enough to help them through?
I Love how Danielle writes i wish more than 5*s were available.
Danielle don't you EVER scare me like that. My mind was all over the place on what would happen next and why the heck was Emmitt so mean and sexy. His attitude and cockiness put every male in this series to shame. Dang, even Asher was impressed. I didn't think poor Evie had a chance of breaking those walls because they were made of steel.
This was what this series needed, a little shake up that was not all corporate la de da. This storyline was much deeper and hit on many points that is rarely discussed in a romance of this magnitude. I will say again, this trio of authors are blowing me out the water but the twist Danielle is putting into her characters, needs to be addressed and she is doing it with flair.
Now I need maybe two more books to put this family of the group to rest. Yes, I am begging because Emmitt set the stage for so much more. With Evie and Jessica working together again, I see them needes more women to help the men find their way or even a man to go toe to toe with the Kalling men.
Danielle Stewart - Crazy Nights - (The Barrington Billionaires Book 3)
Emmitt Kalling, Mathew’s brother, is ex-military and is happiest punching and smashing things and people will do too. Emmitt has no regrets even though he often has nightmares. When Lance Barrington needed his help when a mystery woman breached the office and left information on his desk.
When Mathew sent Evie to Boston to help Emmitt both knew that they may be in trouble since they felt the passion when they were in the same room together. Can this work. He wants “no strings attached” and she wants to connect with someone. So, what are they going to do with all the sizzling chemistry flying around them?
To say Emmet and Evie are opposites is a mild statement, you would think there is no hope for them. Sometimes it takes an optimist to give a pessimist hope. There is no way you can go wrong with this book, it will make you laugh, frustrated, hopeful, and happy you took the time.
For this genre, it is an exceptional read. Strong characters with real life drama that addresses issues so often avoided . Just enough romance and fantasy for fun but also good insights into the world of addiction from the non addicts point of view. Well done.
I enjoyed this story as I have the others. However, I didn't like the fact that out of the series only one couple got married and we don't know what happened with Asher and Matthew.
My favorite book of the series so far. It's got just the right amount of intrigue, drama, and passion. Kept me up at night reading loader than I should. I even read in line at the grocery store.
