Carol Benson, a new and favorite member of the Archer clan, has learned that even if she can’t walk, she still can be part of the world of Tombstone in the 1880s. The tragic accident that left her paralyzed has also taught her how much joy there is in the world and spurs her to be a part of it.

Will Stanton has learned the the hard way that things go much better if he just keeps to himself. When he meets Carol at her brother’s wedding, he’s drawn to her, wondering what life might be like from a chair with wheels. Does he dare try to make life simpler for the beautiful young woman whose smile for everyone she meets has enchanted him?

Just when he’s convinced himself to try, his intent is shattered by the appearance of Carol’s suitor from before her tragedy. Will he face his fears and tell Carol how he really feels, or take the familiar path of solitude and lose her forever?

This 'free' ebook definitely was a sweet and clean tale about a mail-order bride. Both parties agreed to become a partner in marriage.

I must say that the women in this series are tremendous role models. They were independent, strong, and respectful toward their families. Each worked together with their husbands as a team.

The men are hard working, loving, and handsome! Who wouldn't want to spend time with them?

The proofreader must have dozed through their responsibilities to this series, since there were multiple grammar errors.

In this tale, Will and Carol are drawn together and face their individual struggles on the road to marital bliss.

A clean tale, able to stand on its own, and a surprise twist of an H.E.A.

SHE DOESN’T NEED TO BE FIXED. SHE’S NOT BROKEN.

This story can read as a standalone but does pick up from book five, the story of Saffron Archer and Adam Benson. Carol Benson has been crippled from a train accident that took the lives of her parents years ago when they were on their way to Chicago to meet a man, Dennis that she had been corresponding with for possible marriage. After the accident and recovery of Carol, the Benson family moved to Tombstone, Arizona for a new life. Adam and Saffron are now married, and they all live in the Benson household. Carol is just a bubbly person with a constant smile and loves the people of Tombstone. Saffron’s sister is working to open a public library and wants Carol to work with her. Will Stanton has seen the pretty girl Carol and his mind comes up with inventions to try and help and wants to help her be able to get around. Will is drawn to the sweet girl, and they develop of friendship.

The plot deals with what being crippled would be like in the 1800s and how a chair with wheels could help but not always work practically. I love the mindset of Will and how he can come up with latches, better ways of doing things, and trying to make life better for those around him. His mother and Aunt are both bitter and nasty women and ones to be avoided. As Will and Carol start developing feelings for each other, both are confused how the other might feel. Carol will never be able to walk again, so should she never marry? Will believes he knows absolutely nothing about courting and even less about women, and dealing with his mother’s attitude doesn’t help. Can Will and Carol share their feelings with each other and find happiness? Revisiting so many people from previous stories is wonderful.

I felt like this simultaneously dragged on but also not much actually happened? Like compared to the other books anyway. And the formatting was weird in this one i felt like a lot of the couples interactions were off screen or skipped over entirely and it was mentioned ofd hand later like it was something wed already read when in fact we didnt therefore the experience was a bit like confusing ad if youd accidentally missed an episode or skipped a page... so yeah that definitely detracted from the overall experience... especially since majority of the emotional moments or actually interesting moments were from the point of view of someone not experiencing them like i love dual pov or even multiple pov but i felt like it wasnt utilised as well as it shouldve been. Like carols conversations with the doctor wills inner monologue shouldve gotten more screen time so to speak since he hardly actually speaks and idk yeah this was not my fav book despite the message proabbly being one of the best in the book especially the whole cutting out toxic family members and the whole 'shes not broken' stuff so i guess it was probably the way it was written but i didnt feel any real particularly emotional connection to the lovebirds but rather i did enjoy and conmect with their individual struggles and thoughts more than anything else which is good but i mean its a romance book and even clean ones ESPECIALLY clean ones need to really bring the romance and chemistry and whatnot and idk i felt it was lacking writing wise... i sincerely hope theres more epilogues as the majority of the series just doesnt have any real satisfying HEA like the whole and they were wed type disney ending is fine and all but itd be nice to have a 3 months later or 6 months later epilogue showing the couples progress and any baby or other updates... with them without spoiling future books of course... i think yeah im a bit disappointed tbh it couldve been executed better. Im hoping this is a one off but yeah most series seem to lose steam after the midway point usually book 3-5 depending on how big the series is and you start getting repetititve or more careless writing whether purposefully or not and like no offense to the writer ive loved this series but like less screen time for the villians and other horrible stuff and more for happy fun things because i swear that old evil hag has had enough screen time to make up her own hateful little shit novella -which noone wants to see- like i have enough pricks in the real world dont want to see them in my fantasy worlds. We need more like helping cute kids and hungry miners and other heartwarming community type stuff i mean i figured thered be at least one book with a snowstorm or tornado or collapse at the mine or something to add a bit more realism or drama i mean weather especially in such harsh places is like one of the main influences on life and certainly on ranching and whatnot so i feel like that wouldve been more interesting or a flu epidemic of some sort i mean im thinking of dr.mike quinn when i say this and ive briefly seen the blurb of a couple future books that seem to have traces or suggestions of these events happening but yeah who knows. Might skip the next book and go straight to christmas one to lift my spirits and hopefully finally get some pregnancy and baby and family cosy happy stuff!

A man with a big heart

Carol remembered what it was like to walk and dance but a train wreck had not only cost her the lives of her parents but also paralyzed her legs. But Carol wants a normal life and starts volunteering at the new library. Will thinks she's sweet and beautiful and his gift of invention gives him the opportunity to be with her. But can her ever overcome his quiet silent nature and share his heart with the woman he loves?

Amazing Storyline

What an amazing storyline! I really enjoyed the characters, the storyline and the message this one imparted. You can do pretty much anything everyone else can do, just maybe a little differently. Will saw Carol as the beautiful woman she is on the inside and outside, not crippled and a bother. Love can happen no matter the obstacles.

Awesome love story. Enjoyed Carol’s and Will’s story. Sometimes it takes another person loving our imperfections to make us realize we are perfect just the way we are. I don’t want to spoil the book for anyone, however once you start reading you don’t want to put it down. Very good book.

Carol's story begins in the previous book, Saffron, and I was very happy to see Carol get her own book. There were a few times that I wanted to smack Carol upside her head but overall I loved it.

Carol is just so sweet and doesn't want to be limited by her immobility. Will is a true artist. But the Widow and her sister are real witches.

Carol: Bride of Archer Ranch Book 2, by Cindy Caldwell

I received a free copy from the author in exchange for a fair review. Reviews posted on Amazon and Goodreads by Cindy Nipper

Another winner by Cindy Caldwell! What a fun book! Continuing on with Saffron being her biggest supporter, Carol her new sister in law, won’t let her world end just because her walking has! Carol has all kinds of hopes and dreams in this book! Some come true and some don’t, but sometimes our best dreams come true when we weren’t even hoping for them! Watch out world, the best is yet to come! Looking forward to the continuation of this wonderful series! Those are happy tears I promise!

Wonderfully emotional and romantic story about a woman who with love and caring can thrive with the man who brings joy to her heart. After a train wreck killed her parents and physically disabled Carol her life has never been the same. In one fell swoop she lost her parents, her fiancé, and her ability to walk. She has had to rely on her family for everything, but is tired of being a burden. She never dreamed of being able to work or find love again, but sometimes the things that you least expect, come to be. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Silly Smile

Goo goo eyes and silly smiles. Carol might be unable to get up and walk, but that doesn't mean she doesn't deserve love and happiness of her own. Wonderful continuation story of Tombstone and the Archer Ranch.
