Okay, as a gay man I can totally get down with a "girls night out" sort of story, but as Willow famously said, "I think this line's mostly filler." This reads as a filler story just to take up space and not lead us anywhere on the overarching storyline until the final pages. You could probably skip this entry entirely and not be lost other than the first three and final three pages. It's really just a lot of sexy lesbionic romance, which is fine if that's your thing, but if you're reading for the story this one is mostly a bore.

I felt this was a good middle issue. We're in an interesting place. We don't really have any answers, yet, and there's lots of questions that need to be answered in the next couple of issues. It felt like the middle, and that can only be a good thing when you've only got 5 issues to work with. Looking forward to seeing how this resolves. The only thing I have issues with is how trusting Willow seems to be of everything, and everyone. I guess she doesn't have a reason to be suspicious of the witches, but to not even be wary about Marrak? Still seems odd.

The portal opening doesn't work. Willow is invited to stay with the coven. Willow is then enchanted so she can breathe and swim underwater. It also seems possible that the others in the coven are just using Willow for their own ends, making her think everything is just fine and she wants to give up getting the magic back to Earth.

One problem lies with the artwork, or at least a little bit of it. Sometimes when Willow is shown from a distance the artist didn't bother to do her face. It's just blank.

This mini series is so wonderful! I love seeing Will in all her witchy ways with all her witchy friends! Will she be able to return magic to Earth? I really don't know, but I am definitely enjoying watching her try!
