A meteor changed the men of the town to "Alpha" and women to submissive followers wanting nothing more than to be part of a harem and knocked up.
This is the book of the series where my suspension of belief ended (meteors having strange effect on people, including brain and body transformations, is a long-standing science-fiction trope and I am cool with that). David ended up with three women from his farm and went into town to pick up number four. And all the guys he sees have at least one, and most two or more women.
Huh? Unless the world ratio of men-to-women is off in the town, this doesn't work.
I would have like to see more of the librarian - preferably without the lack of brains and submissive nature. The twist there should have been she just LOVES her library and is happy people are enjoying it. But it is HER library. But this isn't that type of book and doesn't match the fetishes being kinked. Pity.
