Amanda Thompson is a matchmaker and a damn good one. She’s a huge success in what she does for other people. For her own love life, not so much.
Davis Hart moves home to help his sister after her divorce. He isn't looking for romance, but his sister believes differently. Taking it upon herself to seek out a matchmaker to find it for him.
Finding love is exactly what Amanda and Davis need without knowing it. Who knew a date when neither were looking for more, could lead to so much? But what if it’s built on a tiny omission of fact? Matches can be made, but can they survive the truth?
Heather Dahlgren writes Contemporary Romance, sprinkling each book with a bit of humor, a lot of naughty and true love. She self-published her first book in 2014 and continues to do so today. Her over active mind promises the stories are in no short supply.
Heather grew up and still resides at the Jersey shore. She loves being so close to the Atlantic Ocean and the Pine Barrens. She is surrounded by the best of both worlds.
She is married to her high school sweetheart and has three kids. There is nothing more important in the world to her then her family.
When Heather isn’t writing you can find her getting lost in a great book, spending time with family and helping her fellow authors.
"After what I went through, I can tell you real love is worth the fight." This story was a very well written, light-hearted, fun romance. It has everything you need. Amanda is an epic matchmaker. She's very proud of the career she has made for herself, and loves matchmaking. But because of work, she has neglected her own love life. Insert Davis. Davis is a total sweetheart. He moved from Seattle to be with his sister who has recently gone through a divorce. His sister, Susan, being the pushy woman she is, goes to Amanda to set Davis up on a blind date. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I'll stop there and just recommend you read it. If you're looking for a short, fun, flirty and SEXY read, The Matchmaker is for you! "It may not have started out the way most relationships do, but it's ending with us."
I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.
The Matchmaker is a short story about a woman who runs her own matchmaking business and a guy who's sister thinks he needs setting up. This story was quick and easy to read. I do wish it was a bit longer and some points of the story expanded upon. This is why I rated it three stars.
I think Amanda and Davis needed more communication between the two characters and maybe that would have expanded the book some. Davis is a stubborn mule and his character definitely fits the bill. Would it be too cliche to say - just like a man?
Amanda is caught between a rock and a hard place. Her character is strong as one who's willing to stick to her principles. Until she doesn't...all for the "price" of love.

FUN, SEXY, AND HEARTWARMING!
Another fantastic sweet-romantic story by Author Heather Dahlgren! Davis and Amanda are fun characters with such amazing chemistry. I absolutely loved the storyline. This little Novella had me hooked from the first page! If your looking for a short summer read by the pool or something to get lost in on your free time I highly recommend! ❤️
cute story about Amanda who finds love for others but never for herself. Davis is a sweet caring man who wants to help his sister and kids. together the sparks are flying and romance is flaming hot. get your fans ready.
This book was wonderful. I truly enjoyed the storyline of sister trying to help her brother in the romance department. Davis and Amanda belong together and the romance is hot. The writer is a favourite of mine and I have yet to read a bad one.
I enjoyed reading Teacher, so I didn't hesitate in deciding to read Ms. Dahlgren's The Matchmaker! I'm really glad that I did too because it was just an awesome book. It was a nice, good read and I really loved it!
And our hero and heroine were just as good as their story. Amanda is sweet, kind, and good-hearted even though she's not completely honest with Davis about how they met. She really is great and I truly liked her. And speaking of like - I liked Davis too - okay, you got me, I probably loved him. Granted, he does have a few a*sholish moments, which he will admit to and I can't blame him completely for, but he's totally wonderful besides that. Davis is all dirty taking, dominant, but sweet alpha and he won me over and I'm sure he'll win you too!
The Matchmaker is a fast read and it's the perfect book to read when you want something quick and sexy but will also tug on your heartstrings a little. The Matchmaker definitely did that for me - it knocked me in my gut and made my heart pound, but it also made my smile and melt. It was just fantastic and I'm excited to read even more of Ms. Dahlgren!
The Matchmaker is a standalone, it's told from Davis and Amanda's POV, and Amanda is one matchmakers who found her true love match!
The Matchmaker by Heather Dahlgren is a quick, short story about finding true love. I really enjoyed reading this book. It made me giggle and smile. The two main characters are Amanda and Davis. These two are really great for each other. The chemistry and intimacy is insane!
Heather Dahlgren is a new to me author. I'm glad I took the chance and read this. Her writing grabs you right from the beginning. It's very descriptive and detailed! I liked how the story was based on a matchmaker and the date was on Valentine's Day.
This book has 10 chapters so it's a very quick read. I didn't want it to end as it was a really good novella.
Parts of the story I liked:
"Amanda, you don't always have to be number one. You are so busy making sure everyone else finds love that you forget about yourself."
"I feel like I've been living life, but I haven't been alive. You make me feel that way. I don't know how that's possible after just meeting you, but damn, I feel such a connection to you."
"Nothing, I've just never seen someone breathe in their pizza before."

Matchmaker is the first book by Heather Dahlgren I read and it’s made me a fan! She did such a great job of fleshing out the characters, finding the perfect balance between showing us enough details that we can ‘see’ what’s happening without sounding like she’s describing too much. I mean, the first scene we see Davis is a good example. The dialogue is well-written enough we feel like we’re sitting there with Davis and his niece Tracey. What a way to introduce the hero of a romantic story! Isn’t he A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E in that interaction with the little one? Not only Davis and Tracey but all characters are realistic, interesting, and likeable. As for the storyline, it’s well-developed, believable, and fun. All qualities you’ll find in an engaging book. In fact, Matchmaker is so engaging that I wouldn’t recommend you start reading it before bed. You might not be able to stop reading it and will end up oversleeping the next morning. LOL but I do recommend you read it if you’re enjoying summer by a pool or at the beach. This way when you get too hot from the sexy scenes you can always jump in the water to cool off or turn up the AC if you’re indoors. Then blame it on the hot weather!
If you are looking for a cute quick read then this is the one for you. I really loved Amanda and Davis both. Amanda is a matchmaker that helps couples find true love. Normally she would never date a client, but Davis’s sister is very persistent, and Amanda can’t tell her no. So now she is stuck going on one date with Davis, so how bad can it be?
Davis just moved to town to help his sister after her divorce. He is trying to settle in and isn’t looking for a relationship. Davis’s sister tells him she needs a small favor for a friend. Davis decides that one simple date can’t hurt right?
Amanda and Davis have instant attraction for each other, but what happens when secrets are kept? Can these two move past the omission of truth or will it all fall apart? I loved the connection between Davis and Amanda. They were so adorable together. I wish this book would have been a bit longer, so fingers crossed maybe a follow up book.
I absolutely loved this book and have found another favorite author!
The Matchmaker is about Amanda, the aforementioned matchmaker of this story. She can find everyone else's perfect match, just not her own. Enter Susan, a woman asking for Amanda to help her brother, Davis, find a match. Amanda finally agrees, breaking her own rule of meeting with the person being matched first. When the time for the date comes, Amanda hasn't found anyone willing to go out with Davis, so she offers to go herself.
Turns out she and Davis are a great match, and the rest of the book delves into their relationship, all the while Amanda keeps putting off telling Davis what she does for a living and how they were introduced at their initial blind date. Will her lie/ommission ruin their relationship? You'll have to read the book to find out!
This was a wonderful novella that had me smiling almost the whole time reading it and I look forward to reading more from Heather!
Everyone wants to find their true love, whether they go hunting for it online, in person, or recruiting a matchmaker. In the end, we all want to be loved unconditionally. But what happens when the Matchmaker falls in love?
The Matchmaker is a short and sweet contemporary romance that can be read in one sitting. It's not complex and it doesn't have a huge plot. But it is something simple and enjoyable to read. Definitely, something you can read on your lunch break or on the bus ride home. So kick up your heels, grab your favorite drink (trust me you will need it with the sex scenes), and start reading this book. Hell, you could even relax in your bubble bath and enjoy this book.

Woo Hoo. Another triple FFF read. Fast, Flirtatious and Fun. Amanda runs a matchmaking company and Davis is an all around sweetheart who drops what he's doing to help his sister. One set-up and the story is on it's way. The characters are fun, their chemistry flames and it's an all around great read. It's super short, so no excuses, it's perfect for an afternoon beach side, pool side (and you can easily cool off in the water) or while waiting for dinner (takeout of course, cuz it's summer and everyone's busy). Make sure to #1click this quick, sexy read today.
Matchmaker is a short quick read. It a great sweet read. Susan is an amazing sister who want to help her brother, Davis, in the love department. Amanda is a matchmaker. She is very good at what she does. At first I thought Amanda was a little stuck up but I warmed up pretty quickly to her. Amanda decides to go on the date with Davis. Davis is sexy and an all around great guy. Sparks fly between them but there are secrets that have been kept and you can't help but wonder if those secrets will ruin things.
The Matchmaker by Heather Dahlgren was a great, cute, sexy quick read. If you want to read a short story that will put you in a good mood, then this is the book for you. So Amanda is the woman you go see to find you that perfect match, but hasn’t found her own. Davis has no clue that he is being set up with a date that was made by a matchmaker and not just a blind date. Amanda and Davis hit it off but of course there has to be at least a little conflict don’t want to give to much away you just have to give it a read.
Yay to love. Matchmaker is as sexy and charming as the main hunk, Davis Hart. Amanda and Davis light up this sweet story and reading it made me happy and gooey. A perfect quick read, especially if you have a book hangover. Heather Dahlgren writes stories that have heart, men that curl your toes and strong women that are waiting for "the one". Davis was yummolicious and Amanda was his perfect match.
Amanda is a matchmaker and very good at her job, but when it comes to herself...mmm not so much, she doesn't have time for love cause she's looking for everyone else. David just moved to Seattle to help he's sister, who in returns pushes Davis to fine to love but she's goes to Amanda herself to have Davis set up. Davis sweet and you can't help but like him. This story has it all, fun, sweet, romance. Copy received in exchange for an honest and Unbiased review
Oh my what to say about The Matchmaker? Having read some of Heather Dahlgren books before this Novella didn't disappoint me. The perfect quick read right here. As most know me by 4 things for a good book this one had it all. One minute I was laughing the next I wanted to toss the kindle, then only a few second later I was crying and on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next. Sweet love story with twists!
Love the way Davis and Amanda's love story goes through the emotional rollercoaster. From their first date, to the love they find that they have for each other, then through the breakup and eventually reconciliation. They seem so cute and wonderful. His sister is so cute also. Love this story.
This was a quick read, but I loved the concept of matchmaker. I adored the characters and the story. it was a fun flirty read. I adore Heather and her books.
