Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy make it to Berlin to find the Joker’s cabaret in the hands of the Joker’s Daughter, who has banished a magic-less Zatanna and Constantine onto the streets of Nazi-occupied Germany. Meanwhile, find out what happened to Mera at the Battle of Britain after being captured by Nereus as a prisoner of war.
So I was really hoping this issue would just be Ivy and Harley the way the previous one had been the batgirls. First there was a straight romance for Mera, which was sweet, but straight. Then a story about how Constantine and Zatanna ended up at the Joker's daughter's cabaret. Which was a nice backstory for them. Then Harley and ivy show up for a showdown with the Joker's Daughter. It had nice backstory but the confrontation was too short and cartoony. That said it was all worth it for the last page. Wonderful!
I caught up with the latest DC Bombshells. #11 to #14. Where Harley Quinn makes a grand entrance on Christmas' Eve (#11), Kate Kane makes her debut as an international spy in Venise and encounters Catwoman and we get a cameo from one of my beloved villain (#12), Diana get her name and fights the good fight (#13) and after wrecking havoc on Christmas' Eve, Harley Quinn crashes in France, meets Ivy and they are off to Berlin (#14)
