I'm really just rating the photos here, I skipped quite a bit of the text since I was more interested in the look and layouts of gardens. There are lots of inspiring photos exemplifying lighting, furniture and hard-scaping, and colors and textures, and seasonal considerations. Overall a nice book did you're looking for ideas.

Great photography and interesting concept but the text is all but illegible. The typeface is so small and the ink tone so light that reading this book causes serious eye strain. I suspect the fault lies not with the author but with the publisher or art director. Very unfortunate.

An okay book but I guess I was looking for more of a "how-to" book with point-by-point lists of compatible plants and materials. I think the information was there in all of the given examples of gardens, but it seemed (to me) to be too hard to dig out.
