Tim Fellows has it all - a detached house within the leafy confines of the commuter belt, wife, daughter and a job for life as his boss describes it. With the global recession in full effect Tim suddenly finds himself surplus to requirements when his employer decides to downsize. Nineteen years in the same job has institutionalised him and he soon discovers the real world has moved on. With mounting debts the clock is ticking as he needs to quickly find a new job or risk losing everything he's worked for. Can Tim rise like a phoenix from the ashes and save the day as he battles the odds, his morals and incontinent mother in law? I am a writer and artist from the South Coast of England. After many years of being told I should write a book I decided in 2011 to do just that! Following redundancy from a job that I'd enjoyed for many years I decided to use the experience to turn a negative into a positive. There seemed to be no fictional book specifically around the topic and I wanted to raise awareness of just how much redundancy affects everyday people. I enjoy writing humour and drama so used this as a basis to pen 'The Redundancy' as my debut novel. As the subject itself isn't the most cheerful it was important to add a touch of comedy to provide the reader with a contrast of light and dark. Many of my favourite stories are comedy dramas, such as 'About a Boy' by Nick Hornby.

There are plenty of ideas for future books in the pipeline, the sequel to Redundancy (entitled Mission Timpossible) is now available. Watch this space for more developments.

In addition to writing I am a professional pencil artist, having sold art prints and original commissioned drawings to customers all over the world. I am happiest when creating and if I can make a difference to just one person then it's been a good day.

Hilarious! I absolutely loved the story and humour in this debut novel. The plot was never obvious and I really felt that I could identify with the main character Tim. There is part of him in all of us. Warren's storytelling is sublime and I found myself sneaking a few pages in while I was supposed to be working! I fully recommend this book, look forward to the next book, hopefully there will be more.

A laugh out loud comedy drama that is more than just a story about one man's quest to get a new job. An unpredictable and entertaining plot with great characters, a real page turner. I'm looking forward to the next instalment!
