'Two Hearts Unspoken’; is a stand-alone book as well as Book 2 of a 3 book series entitled ‘Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance’. ‘Two Hearts Unspoken’; is the love story between Zach Logan and Beth (Elizabeth) Bowen. Beth is the divorced mother of a twenty year old autistic boy. After being made redundant she decides to move back to Crystal Rock where she grew up and remembers being truly happy there. Also there is a new venture there for Kyle her son; here he can receive an education that will also give him supervised work experience. Beth has had relationships but she needs someone who can also relate to Kyle and not want him sent away or ignored because they can’t deal with him, like her previous boyfriend did. Kyle is her son and he must remain with her and be part of the family. Zach is a loner and an ex pilot. He has come to live at Crystal Rock to co-ordinate and be a part of the new ‘Wounded Warrior Facility’. As a pilot he suffered severe burns to his upper body in a life threatening incident. His scars have left him disfigured and have led to Zach believing that no woman would ever want him, the way he looks now. Zach and Beth meet when Kyle launches himself at Zach on the beach where Zach is jogging. They both feel a deep connection and attraction to each other. They face many problems if they want to be together. Will Zach be able to trust Beth enough to let her see his scars? Can Beth love him enough to not be put off by his disfigurement? Will Zach want to be a father figure to Kyle? What if Kyle can’t take to Zach? Will love conquer all and triumph in the end?
Tamara Ferguson writes at a fluent steady pace. Her main characters are well developed and complex, so they are realistic and believable. Zach and Beth’s love story wasn’t drawn out unnecessarily; it developed at a good steady pace. Zach’s mental and emotional difficulties were handled with empathy and realism. Their story was a little predictable but heartfelt. Tamara Ferguson has personal experience of autism and so Kyle’s character and the difficulties faced by Beth were realistic and again handled carefully and truthfully. It was good that characters from Book 1 were interlaced within this story so you could see how much their lives (and they themselves) had moved on. I look forward now to reading Book 3: Two Hearts Undone.
Two Hearts Unspoken is the second book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Series. It is a heart-warming insta love/wounded warrior/contemporary romance. Elizabeth Owen (Beth) is a single mother of severely autistic son, Kyle. She’s been working as an accountant in a plant, which will be shutting down, due to the economy. So, when Kyle is offered a highly desired placement in a vocational facility in Wisconsin, she readily accepts and they move to Crystal Rock. As she and Kyle are driving into their new home town, they are startled when they narrowly avoid hitting a dog that runs across the road. They head to the beach at Dragonfly Pointe, where they get out to go for a walk. Being here brought back happy memories of childhood, for Beth.
“As they headed toward the beach, peaceful contentment invaded her senses once she and Kyle began making their way across the crunchy sand. The air was crisp, but Beth had been told that it wasn’t nearly as cold as it usually was at this time of the year….. Normally, the lake would’ve begun icing up at this time of the year, but with the breeze blowing in across the lake, choppy waves crashed over the sand. Yep, this place still seemed magical, Beth thought, closing her eyes. The soothing sound of the pounding waves, along with the haunting squalling of the gulls, infused her senses. She breathed in the crisp cool air—it smelled so fresh! Tipping her face into the sun, she felt exactly like she’d felt when she’d been a kid, vacationing here—happy and at peace.”
Down the beach is the dog that they had just avoided hitting, and her owner. Kyle decides on a novel way of an introduction. Beth can’t help but admire the good looking man. This is how she meets retired Air Force Captain, Zachary Logan (Zach). Zach has recently moved to town to take on a position as the new Administrator for the Wounded Warrior facility. He is also quite taken with Beth when they meet, the Sparks fly and their attraction is undeniable. They cross paths quite a lot around town and each time they dance around their attraction. Beth has Kyle to think about in any kind of relationship or dating situation, and she hasn’t had a very good track record with the men in her past. Zach thinks his injuries will prevent anyone from finding him attractive anymore. He is very self-conscious and unsure of himself and his experiences while he was deployed overseas have left him physically and emotionally scarred. The two share an unforgettable kiss, but afterwards Zach seems avoid Beth and is holding back. Beth can’t figure him out. What is he hiding? Can they create something truly magical between them? Will they both find the one thing that is missing from their lives? The story is really very touching and emotionally charged. The author packed a lot into a small space, but she did it beautifully. The story is really well written and the characters are fully developed, with a realism that only comes from the pen of a masterful author. Ms. Ferguson gave me a glimpse into the toll that war has on a soldier and the sacrifices they make for their country. She also shone a light on living with autism and how that affects the person and their loved ones. This is a fast paced, quick, easy read. It can be read as a standalone and has a HEA. This wonderful story is all about acceptance and overcoming adversity, and I loved every word. I can’t wait to read her next book.
Two Hearts Unspoken by Tamara Ferguson is the second book of the Two Hearst Wounded Warrior Series. This book was very well written and was a very quick read. This book is a military romance so if you love those types of books you will love this one because it will defiantly leave a smile on your face. This can be read as a stand-alone but keep in mind that Kelly & Luke from the 1st book do make an appearance in this book as well. This book is the story of Elizabeth & Zach. Zach was Luke’s commanding officer in the Air Force and is now retired from the Air Force like Luke. Zach has decided to move to Crystal Rock to help with a new business that is being built. Elizabeth is a single mom who has a son that is mentally impaired. She recently lost her job due to a plant closing so she decided to move back to her home town of Crystal Rock because she not only has family there but the town now has a school for mentally & physically impaired children that her son Kyle can now be a part of. Upon driving into town Elizabeth meets Zach almost immediately because first she almost runs into him with her car and then she meets him face to face on the beach. This is the start of something special between the two of them. This book does not have any violence. There really was not any sexual content either, everything happened behind “closed doors”. I Really liked this book and once I got reading it I didn’t want to put it down.
TWO HEARTS UNSPOKEN (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 2) written by Tamara Ferguson 4 stars
I was so excited about this series continuing, but it was not the characters I thought it would be. The main characters were all new and I feel in love with them more than I thought I would. This book was really about acceptance, compassion and patience. It was a quick read yet it held so many facets.
Beth is a single mom with an older autistic child. She was in a relationship with someone who was not accepting of her son so she knew the relationship wouldn't progress, because Kyle was her heart. Beth was offered a position that would relocate her and Kyle and give him a new start at a vocational facility that would cater to his specific learning needs. Beth would also be working close by so she jumped at the chance.
Zach decided to take his former Air Force buddy up on a job opportunity. Since he had to leave active duty due to injuries he couldn't stand the government desk job anymore. It wasn't challenging enough and he needed to stay active. Zach had been down on himself and needed to appreciate that he was very fortunate after seeing others in his deployment that weren't as far along on their healing. He needed a fresh start and working at the wounded warrior facility that his buddy Luke was involved in was going to be just what he needed.
Beth and Zach met on the beach in an unusual circumstance. So when Beth went to her cousin’s home and Zach showed up at his buddies they were surprised to run into one another. Little did they know they were being set up or that it would continue to happen...sometimes a little more obvious than others.
Beth and Zach had an instant attraction, but they each had reasons to be reserved and not act on it. Once they did and Beth thought things would be different between them Zach found himself having self doubt and not wanting to share his secrets so he started avoiding Beth. Will Zach finally share his secrets or will he wait too long and miss out on a chance with an accepting, caring woman? Has Beth misread the signals Zach was giving? Was he not as interested as she thought? Why did he go from always being around to her barely seeing him for weeks?
Two Hearts Unspoken is the second book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrier Romance Series by Tamara Ferguson. I had high expectations for his book because I loved, loved, loved the first book. I have to say I think this one was even better. This is such a great heart warming series. Tamara really brings the characters to life with detailed descriptions. The witty dialog made me laugh and cry and the way she dealt with the wounded warrior and autism issues was really well written.
Elizabeth Bowen is a single mother working as an accountant in a plant in Illinois. A couple of weeks before Christmas she found out the plat was closing. She decided to take the severance package and move up to Northern Wisconsin to her mother's home town, Crystal Rock. There is a school/vocational just perfect for her autistic son, Kyle and some relatives to help her settle in.
Zachary Logan is a retired Air Force Pilot who was wounded on his last mission. He has recently relocated to Crystal Rock to recuperate and heal. He got a job for at the school helping kids integrate into jobs through the vocational program.
Elizabeth and Zach run into each other on the beach the first day Beth comes to town. It was love at first sight with a few twists and turns along the way. This is the second book I have read by Tamara Ferguson, but definitely won't be the last. I can't wait to read the next in the series. This book can be read as a stand alone, but believe me you are going to want to read them all. They are that good!
Two hearts Unspoken by Tamara Ferguson first appeared in Love in Times of War Anthology. It is book two in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Series. This story stars Elizabeth and her adult autistic son, Kyle. Elizabeth is starting over in a new city, with a new job and meeting new people. This is a new chance for Kyle to have a good life too. The move allows him to be entered into a developmentally appropriate facility, while allowing him to learn independence. This story also tells of retired air force captain Zachary. Zach is wounded in the war and must figure out what to do with his life. He moves to Crystal Rock to be near his friends and the Wounded Warrior facility they just opened. Elizabeth and Zach meet when their lives are entering a new chapter. Alone, they have their own problems and difficulties to overcome. In order to be a couple, though, they both must overcome other people’s judgments and even their own self-doubt. I love these characters that Ferguson has given life to. I love Crystal Rock. I love that while the stories are connected, because everyone wants to believe in the magic of Dragonfly Pointe, I didn’t have to read book one before reading this one. Luckily enough for me, I did get the chance to read book one. The characters have real life problems, that even though I may not have to face personally, someone somewhere truly does. I recommend this story because Ferguson’s writing will keep you turning those pages while getting you lost in the love of Crystal Rock.
A Beautiful Story of Love and Finding Happiness This book by Tamara Ferguson is an easy love story that will make you smile and have hope. When Beth and Zach meet on the beach it is like is was supposed to happen and they are instantly attracted to one another. Beth is moving to town with her son Kyle so he can start a new program to help him learn skills for disabled people like himself. Beth and Kyle are very excited about their new life and they both love the town she used to come to as a child. Zach is a wounded warrior with a lot from his time in the war that he has never dealt with. He thinks the scars on the outside would keep any woman from wanting to be with him. He is so sensitive about the scars that he keeps them covered. The thing about Zach is he is a good man with a big heart. Zach has fallen for Beth but he is so afraid she will be disgusted by his scars that he has a problem with forming the relationship he so desperately wants with Beth. Zach is good with Kyle and Zach’s dog loves Kyle. Can these two find a way to be together and how will Kyle effect their relationship? Tamara Ferguson has written a wonderful story that had me from the beginning. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I love the characters and especially the love and commitment Beth has for her son. I truly did not want it to end! It would be a shame to pass this read by!!
Two Hearts Unspoken is book 2 in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series by Tamara Ferguson.
Beth had just moved with her son Kyle after losing her job and wanting to be near family, and there was an excellent opportunity for Kyle to attend a vocational facility. Having brought a wonderful house, her life was starting to look up, finally.
Zach is a wounded warrior, after being in an accident, he took his friend Luke’s offer to come move to Crystal Rock. Zach likes to keep himself to himself, believing that he is not worthy of love or women.
Zach and Beth hit full force into each other’s lives, knocking them both off their feet. Instantly Zach is accepting of Kyle, and Beth finds this amazing that a handsome stranger has done something that men who have been in her life for years have not accepted.
Zach and Beth’s paths keep crossing, and one night leaves Beth confused about Zach. He begins to avoid her making her even more confused. Why is Zach this way? Is there mutual feeling? Is there magic at Dragon Point?
Tamara Ferguson has written another beautiful short romance story. we met Zach in book one and now we have his story. Beth is a simple woman who loves her son and just wants others to accept him for the way he is, she has had I tough but she solders on. Zach is depressed from his time at war and feels unworthy, but hopefully can see before it’s too late that he is, he takes life at face value now. I love both these characters and I think they complement each other well. We also get to carry on Kelly and Luke’s story slightly. I hope we hear more from these two in future books. I give this a 5-star rating
4 stars! Two Hearts Unspoken is the second book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series by Tamara Ferguson. This book could be read as a standalone but I think would probably be enjoyed more by reading them in order. This story was a lovely, touching and heart-warming story. I really enjoyed it and felt a great connection and empathy towards the characters. I think it was that the characters felt so real that I was able to relate to them so well. I know it sounds strange but I also liked that the characters were older in the story; it was nice to read about real life issue rather than teenage angst. Both of the characters, Beth and Zach are broken in their own way and don’t realise that they could help heal each other. Beth was a really strong character but I also felt really sorry for her. She was strong in the way she cared for Kyle (her son) when I can only imagine the daily struggles she faces with raising him but I felt sorry for her because she desperately wanted to be in a kind, loving and committed relationship. Someone who will love not only her but Kyle too. Zach was such a lovely person. Even from the moment I started reading about him I knew he deserved someone like Beth – someone kind, compassionate and who would love him for him and see past any imperfections. He was far stronger than he thought he was and I really admired his character. The pace of the story was good, it was fairly short and covered almost year in time – there were a few instances where I found myself wondering if one day had passed or a few months but I still really enjoyed it. I would have happily read this book as a full length novel and I really liked the two characters! I definitely recommend this story and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
TWO HEARTS UNSPOKEN (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 2) By: Tamera Ferguson 5 out of 5 stars
The story TWO HEARTS UNSPOKEN (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 2) by Tamera Ferguson is a romantic military fiction book. This is a wonderful addition to the Two Hearts series. This is the story of Beth Bowen and Zach Logan. Beth is moving to Wisconsin after the plant she works at in Illinois closes. Not only is she offered a job, there is also a facility that her special needs son has been accepted to. Zach is recovering and building a new life for himself outside the Air Force. When he meets Beth he feels a connection that is like no other he has ever felt. Will Beth and Zach act on their newfound feelings or will Zach’s insecurities put an end to any chance of a relationship?
This is an amazing addition to the Two Hearts series. I loved the first book and the second had me from the first chapter. The story and the characters are so engaging that I found myself wishing the story was longer. It stayed in my mind after I read. Beth and Zach are amazing characters. Beth has not had a lot of success in relationships. She has not found the man that will love her and her son unconditionally. So leaving her last relationship behind she comes to Dragonfly Pointe. This is where she meets Zach. The chemistry between these two is intense from the beginning. Even so, she feels that Zach is holding back and she is confused by his actions. Will she discover why Zach is keeping her at arms-length?
Zach is a man that is trying to heal. He has come to Dragonfly Pointe at the invitation of a friend and has decided to stay. When he meets Beth for the first time he is smitten. However, Zach is also a man that is insecure because of injuries that he has sustained. He is very self-conscience and doesn’t believe that any woman would want him. He does have a connection to Beth’s son which makes him a special person in her eyes. Can Zach overcome his self-doubt and take a chance on love?
This book had me laughing at the happy times and crying at the sentimental times. It gave me that warm feeling that you get when reading a story that touches your heart. It is told from the POV of both Zach and Beth. Highly recommended for anyone who loves romance stories. Find out if Beth and Zach get their HEA. There are adult situations so it would be suggested for a mature audience.
Two Hearts Unspoken – Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 2 by Tamara Ferguson – 4 stars
I am really enjoying this series. Each book takes place in Crystal Rock and at Dragonfly Pointe Beach and each story sheds a little more light on the traumas suffered by our soldiers. Each story is told with elegance and compassion. The series centers around a new facility being built and designed for Wounded Warriors. The underlying message is a terrific one; We must take care of our own.
In Two Hearts Unspoken, we meet Zach, Beth and Beth’s son Kyle. Zach is a wounded warrior who was injured from the neck down. Zach is not comfortable with how he looks now and takes precautions because he doesn’t want anyone to see him as he is. Beth & Kyle have moved to Crystal Rock for two reasons. One – Beth can take a job with her cousin’s construction company and Two – so Kyle can go to a new vocational center for autistic children. Beth and Zach meet and there are immediate sparks. Zach still has to get over his new body image. It’s time for him to move on but he is afraid. In the past, Beth has had a problem with men accepting her son and his special needs.
This sweet romance was a nice, quick read. The way Tamara Ferguson writes is very respectful to all the characters involved. It is also a book that I would recommend to my mother without blushing; I appreciate that there are no detailed sex scenes, the reader is allowed to use their imagination.
I will continue to read the future installments in this series.
Two Hearts Unspoken is the second book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Series by Tamara Ferguson. We first meet Beth, a single parent to Kyle, a mentally impaired young man. Beth is an accountant and decided to move to Crystal Rock to make a better life for Kyle, as they have a very good vocational training program that would be very beneficial to teaching Kyle. Zach is a wounded warrior who meets Beth by way of Kyle, whom takes off running and tackles Zach. Could the meeting between Beth and Zach be fate? Could it be love at first sight? Zach hits it off with Kyle, which does wonders for Beth, even better Zach will be working with Kyle.
Zach was badly burned during his time in the service. Since being home and recovering he has been alone. He has not gotten close to anyone thinking they would not want to be with him due to his burns and scars. But can Beth change how he feels about himself, and let himself be loved unconditionally?
Tamara Ferguson does another terrific job with Two Hearts UnSpoken in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Series. She has away with how she describes her characters and making them feel so real, and the details she uses in the different scenes in the book. Two Hearts Unspoken is a fast read that you do not want to end. If you like heartwarming and emotional romance then this book is for you. I look forward to reading more in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Series.
Two Hearts Unspoken, by author Tamara Ferguson, is the second book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series. This book continues with the military theme of the series – these stories include warriors that are wounded in some way and features their fight to recover and, of course, a romance to fit in perfectly with the theme of the story.
The books in this series could each be read individually, but by reading them in order and together, you will get back story on the other characters that carry on as supporting characters – such as Luke and Kelly play in part of this second book of the series. Two Hearts Unspoken is Elizabeth (Beth) Bowen’s and Zachary (Zach) Logan’s.
Zach moved to Crystal Rock at his friend’s request following his discharge/retirement from the air force. Zach is broken and his pain is so real in how the author pulls those emotions from his character into the story. He functions, he does what he needs to do, but he has so much disgust and disappointment in himself. We see glimpses of a happier Zach throughout the story, he just needs that right “shove” to fully see life is more than he realizes if he’s willing to take that leap of faith.
Beth hasn’t had an easy life, being a mother to an autistic son. Yet, she always puts Kyle first as he is her main priority. With a change of job comes a change in scenery and a fresh start. Beth’s character is quite remarkable in this book, strong, independent and focused. She’s never seen as weak and I think that is great how she is written as a strong female character is truly warranted in this particular story.
Tamara Ferguson continues to deliver with the second book in this series; it fits well with the theme, but comes from a different angle than the first book and ties in just right. Beautiful!
When Beth Bowen is offered early retirement she decides to relocate to Crystal Rock. It was a great idea because she has family there and she feels at home there. It also had an analgesic school program for her son Kyle. Crystal Visions specializes in training for the physically and mentally impaired. They all, Beth, Kyle and Zach, meet under less than favourable situations. Beth and Zach have this instant attraction. Zach is a wounded warrior who is very self conscience about his scars. It's too the point of obsession when it comes to covering then up. So meeting someone has always been hard. When he meets Beth he feels this instant connection and attraction. Maybe Beth is exactly what he needs to show him that his scars don't Make the man.
The reason i liked this book, well this series is because it's raw. And what i mean is, it takes real life situations and lays it all out. You see the POV’s from the wounded to the people trying to live them. This one lays it out for you and rips your heart out. It makes you think the men are body sensitive also. I loved how Beth is such a strong woman. From raising an Autistic son and putting herself last because Kyle needs her. That was very emotional. She even had her work cut out for her when she was with Zach. He was borderline OCD when it came to those scars. But hey i think we all can understand to a point why he did what he did. The way he treated Kyle, that right there sealed him into my heart. Let me tell you i was ugly crying by the time i was done. This book send you on an emotional ride that will want you to reread it because you think you missed something. I loved it from beginning to end and look forward to many by this author.
“Two Hearts Unspoken” by Tamara Ferguson is the second book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series and once again takes the reader on an emotional journey of love and acceptance.
The author proves once again that growth from emotional pain is her forte. Her characters are relatable and the story moves in real time. Nothing is rushed for the sake of a happy ending. The path to love and acceptance can be a long one and the author doesn’t shy away from that. The attraction between Beth and Zach is instant and real, but life and insecurities have a way of interfering. I would have liked more background on Zach to fully understand him and his self-doubts, but overall the detail given to the characters is very well done. Any book by this author is automatically added to my TBR pile.
This is a standalone novella told in alternating points of view and does not end on a cliffhanger.
Soldiers have one of the toughest roads that can be lead. Not only do they have to bear the dark cross that comes with protecting our freedoms but they also have to bear the scars both physical and emotional with them wherever they go.
Zach bears both of those scars and it prevents him from following his heart and going after Beth. I like that he is self conscious and is unsure of himself. It's refreshing to see a man who is not all alpha male and dominant (don't get me wrong I love those books, but it's nice that not every book I read has it). I like seeing Zach become comfortable in his own skin as he and Beth fall in love.
Similar to the first book the pace of this book is fast and covers a long period of time and for me it just felt a little two fast. It was like something happened and then two weeks would pass. Something happens a month passes. It felt like I was reading just snippets of the love story rather than the whole thing. And with that comes my second thing I didn't like about it. If was too short. By the time I got invested to the characters the book was ending. I would have liked more to it.
It is a great addition to the series but for me I didn't like it as much as the first one.
Two Hearts Unspoken by Tamara Ferguson Stars: 4 Elizabeth (Beth) Bowen and her son, Kyle, moved from Illinois to Wisconsin when the plant she was working closed. They meet and immediately feel a connection between them, but Zach keeps pulling away. Beth doesn’t understand why and wonders if their connection was just a figment of her imagination. I really appreciate that the author shone a light on a couple of important subjects, autism and Wound Warriors. I feel that she did a great job in representing them. I loved Beth. She showed patience, perseverance, and understanding. Zach is dealing both emotionally and physically with trauma from his past. However, he is fantastic with Kyle and Beth. I loved seeing this character’s growth throughout the book. I really felt that the story was well written, and it kept me engaged. I did feel that the ending was a little rushed, but it was still a great story and ending. My favorite scene was the pillow throwing scene. I think that you will like it as well. If you are looking for a sweet, engaging, and short love story, this is a book for you!
Two Hearts Unspoken (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance, Book 2) by Tamara Ferguson is the second story in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series. This story can be read as a stand alone. This story is about being accepted for who you are and dealing with insecurities. This story will pull you in from the first word forward. This is one of my favorite things with this author, her ability to just pull you in to her story from the very beginning. You will enjoy how she has created characters that will pull at your heart strings and you will find yourself relating too. Find out what happens to these characters as they take you on an emotional journey into autism and finding more then you bargained for when starting over.

Will they finally find what they have been looking for? These are two strong characters that together they make the story flow together. The way the author has created Zachery will amaze you, not all men are this way. You will fall in love with these two characters. Find out if their insecurities and willingness to accept will be what holds them together or will it keep them apart forever?
This is my third story by Tamara Ferguson and I know that it won't be the last. I can't wait to read the next story in this series. Tamara is a full time mother of an autistic son. You can find her working at home on various home improvement projects, working with other authors promoting their books. She is currently working on the fourth book in this series. Once again, this author has created a page turner that you will need to see what happens. You will find the reference to autism helpful in this story in order to feel the love you have for a child with autism. This is also a subject near and dear to my heart. I read this story in one sitting as I couldn't put it down. I highly suggest this story as I know you will enjoy reading about this couples journey on finding love.
Two Hearts Unspoken (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior #2) By Tamara Ferguson 5 Star Review
Two Hearts Unspoken by Tamara Ferguson is another five star read. This can be read as a stand-alone book. I think that the author does such a beautiful job of handling our military wounded soldiers. Step into this well written story about two wounded people hoping to help each other heal.
Beth is a divorced mother of a 20 year old autistic man. She decides to move back to Crystal Rock where she grew up and was very happy. It is especially good for Kyle, her son, because he will receive an education and be given supervised work experience.
Zach is a former pilot who has come to Crystal Rock to start over. He is still recovering mentally from injuries. He suffered burns to the upper part of his body and he is left with scars. He believes no one will want to be with him because of how badly he is scarred.
Zach and Beth meet each other on the beach at Dragonfly Point, by way of Kyle tackling Zach. The attraction was off the charts from the moment they met. Beth has been down this road before; men have a hard time understanding and accepting Kyle as a package deal. Zach turns out to be working for the facility that Kyle will be attending. To Beth’s surprise Kyle and Zach hit it off.
Will love conquer all in this story of two people who have had challenging things affect their life? Is Zach the man willing to accept that Kyle is a fixture in Beth’s life? Will Beth be the woman to see past the damage Zach is hiding?
This author does a tremendous job handling not only wounded warriors but also adding in the autism element. This book is a very good read and I enjoyed it. The author handles touchy subjects very and is respectful in her writing.
Definitely a five-star read! This is yet another grand slam for Tamara Ferguson. She takes the story of Elizabeth and Zach to new heights. This is a story about a single mom who has given up everything to do what she needs to do to raise her special needs son, Kyle. At twenty-years-old, Kyle is her world. When Beth Bowen breaks up with her fiancé after realizing he wanted her to lock Kyle away in a care facility. She took early retirement to give Kyle the care he needed. They moved to a new town and bought a new house in Castle Rock where she is finally able to find the perfect program for Kyle in Crystal Visions. When Beth met Zach on the beach there was a sudden connection. She had no idea how their lives would soon intertwine. After seeing Zach interact with Kyle, Beth began to feel an unfamiliar tug in her chest. Could she allow another man into their lives? Zach Logan has demons of his own. After being injured in the same military explosion that the founder of Crystal Visions, Luke, was in, he had scars that were still hearing. Emotional and physical scars were still healing. When he met Beth on the beach there was electricity. This woman looked like an angel. Could he let her in and risk his already fragile heart? Two Hearts Unspoken is another heart-warming tale by Ms. Ferguson. She is a true story teller that draws out the emotions in her readers. This is a must read for anyone who loves a good romance with struggles and strength throw in.
TWO HEARTS UNSPOKEN by Tamara Ferguson I found to be a touching and heart rending story in real time about real people. This romance is so much more, set in the world with wounded warriors of several kinds with wounded hearts in need of repair and redemption. Zach and Beth and Kyle are all wonderful empathetic characters in need of each other; they just don't realize it right away. They all want to get close but keep fighting one another as well as their wants and desires. They are all so broken they can't see the forest for the trees ‘so to speak’. All three characters are swoon-worthy in their own ways, and make one want to scoop them up and mend everything about them that's broken. I highly recommend this book not only in support of the Wounded Warrior project, but also as an emotionally good read. Well worth the time and tears. This is the second story in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series. It was good, but I liked the first story better. Since it was a short story it moved really fast. The overall storyline covered close to a year. However, there was a lot of time we missed hearing about because a couple weeks to a month or two would go by between scenes. With that said, I still thought it was a good read. I loved how Beth was able to look past the scars and see the man. I also loved how Zach was with Beth's son Kyle. Not many people could or would step in and help with an older child who is so dependent on others. This series has done a good job of showing the emotional toll that war (and coming back injured) takes on our soldiers. I can't wait to read book three. *I received a copy of this book from eBook Discovery in exchange for my honest review.*

This story was so heartwarming with what these two people, who thought they wouldn't ever be able to find someone right for them, found in each other. Zach was amazing throughout the book as a person with how selfless he is, but it broke my heart how he felt about himself. Then you have Beth with her son Kyle who didn't think she would find anyone to love them both. This is a quick insta-love story that makes you feel good and hopeful in the end. I definitely recommend reading this book.
Pretty good follow up to the first novella. Beth has just made a big change in her life to benefit her dependant son. His disability makes it hard for her to always do what she likes, but she realises she hasn't done much of what she needs in years regardless of Kyle. Enter Zach. What a great guy, but very similar to Luke from book 1. Still keeps his emotions close and people at a distance. Will he be able to put it behind him to keep Beth in his life?
It brings together such wonderful characters that have been hurt either emotionally and physically. But It makes them stronger with a sense of community and love.
A beautiful and well written love story! This is the second installment in the wounded warrior romance series by Tamera Ferguson. It can be read as a standalone for sure. Just as she did in the first book she brought two characters, well actually three, to life in a very believable and organic story. She left no stone unturned and answered all questions a reader may have with the subjects that were centered in this book, i.e. autism, PTSD and a soldier that has disabilities, and finding love when you feel like there is no room for loving anyone else but the son who depends on you for almost every basic need. We meet Elizabeth, or Beth Bowen right off the bat and her amazing son Kyle. She is faced with a difficult situation of being unemployed at her job that she has been with for many years. It’s this that has her deciding to move on with life. She takes her early retirement and sells her house, to move to Crystal Rock. It is the home of a highly renowned Crystal Visions, a vocational facility for the mentally and physically impaired. She’s instantly feels at peace with her decision and that this is the best choice she could have made for her son Kyle who has many symptoms and issues related to his Autism. Within just hours of her being in Crystal Rock she meets the handsome Zach Logan. It may have been fait after all it was her son who literally threw them together. For Zach his it is love at first sight, even though he doesn’t know how he will deal with that because he has some deep issues from his past with the military and the injuries and scars that he obtained during the last tour he was on. “I think I’m in love. And when he looked into her eyes, he was feeling something that he’d never felt before- something he’d never thought he was capable of feeling. Ever.” The book had me at those first few chapters, addicted to finding out how this would turn out. Weather this is relationship could blossom between Beth and Zach despite all the obstacles that are thrown at them. I was so very impressed at how well Kyle was portrayed in the book. Not only was it shedding a light on Autism but Tamera Ferguson managed to weave him into the love story flawlessly as well. It was a nice change of pace to see an author include a child in the equation and bring the difficulties and positives that come along with that. I am looking forward to seeing what characters she will bring to life in her next installment in the series.
Two Hearts Unspoken is the second book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series by Tamara Ferguson. I feel it could be read as a stand alone book. It does have some overlap, but not enough to make it a necessity to read Two Hearts Surrendered. It is a romance novel, with some military aspects. Over all, I liked the book, but not as much as the first one. I didn't get as connected to these characters. The story features a woman, her autistic son, and some of their family, and their friend, who becomes her love interest. I enjoyed the book, but was a little disappointed in the timeline. The characters meet and kiss within a couple days, but then go months before reuniting. The characters were realistic and I didn't have much complaints, or dislike, but I didn't get too connected to them either. 4 star book for me, I enjoyed it, and would recommend it. I also plan to read book 3 soon and finish out the series. Elizabeth (Beth)Bowen is a single mom, to a young adult, autistic son, Kyle. She has been working at her job in Illinois for the better part of her son's life, when they suddenly close. She decides to move back to her childhood town of Crystal Rock, which features a good school for her son Kyle. He is hard to handle, and she has little to no help with him anyway, so she decides to move cross country and enroll Kyle into a vocational school, and start fresh. Zach Logan was a soldier who was badly burned in an accident last year. He was offered a desk job after his injury, but turned it down, and is now having a hard time adjusting to civilian life. He is struggling to cope with his injuries, since he is heavily scarred, which has left him quite depressed. He has been assuming he will spend the rest of his days alone, and has been working with kids as well as helping his friend with a new Wounded Warrior project. He is content with his current situation and is trying to make peace with it, until he meets Beth, and everything changes. Zach and Beth meet her first day in Crystal Rock. She nearly hit him while driving into town, while he was walking his down. About half an hour later, Beth and Kyle were at the beach, when Zach and his dog were continuing their walk, and Kyle tackled Zach. As happens in all small towns, the two were destined to be together, in one way or another. Turns out, Zach is going to be one of Kyle's teachers at school, and his best friend Luke, is married to Beth's cousin, Kelly. Due to all this, they end up spending a lot of time with one another, and their feelings and relationship evolves from there.
