”I’m living in the moment and all I see is you. I’m not going to be able to stop until I have more.”

 photo viewing room teaser 3_zpstgzt2wrv.jpg

VIEWING ROOM is the second installment in the Society X series and can be read as a standalone. The story was packed with some incredible steam and suspense that helped to hold my interest till the very end.

Kennedy Vaughn is a successful lawyer who co-owns a law firm. She has recently gone through a divorce and her friends from work are taking her out for a night filled with sinful debauchery at the very well known and high end sex club, Society X. While in the club’s lounge one of the gorgeous male strippers catches her eye and he is making it clear that he likes what he sees as well. As fate would have it, she ends up getting treated to a striptease and lap dance in the viewing room and the guy who had her heating up inside the lounge, happens to be the stripper. Kennedy gets quite the show and things get even hotter later on that evening.

Hunter Miles has been working at Society X for a couple of years in order to pay for law school, but he’s always enjoyed the no strings attached sex that is readily available to him at the club. One look at Kennedy changes everything for him. As they spend more time together, Hunter’s feelings run deep rather quickly. But Kennedy’s recent divorce and the fact that she is not thrilled with Hunter’s job at Society X has her reluctant to jump into anything serious with him.

photo viewing room teaser for tour_zps093rcdss.png

The two have major chemistry in the physical aspect of their relationship but things get even more complicated when Hunter ends up getting an internship at Kennedy’s firm. While feelings start to intensify between them, they also have to work hard at keeping things low key in the office.

Things get intense when one of Kennedy’s cases requires the two of them to do some undercover work at Society X. The case turns quite dangerous and lives are threatened.

If you’re looking for a story packed with action and intense steam, then look no further. This might be just what you are looking for.

I loved Hunter

This was not what I expected at all, it was so much more.

I think knowing the plot is based around a secret club with sex, secrets and strippers it can start to get like same old same old just different characters different club but Not the viewing room.

Hunter is an employee of club X and he first meets Kennedy, a lawyer who is taken to the club by work colleagues to celebrate her divorce, Hunter gets the honour of giving her a private strip.

Hunter only works at the club to pay tuition, he's a Grandma's boy, honest, caring and oh so hot hot hot on the side.

Told in dual pov's there's more than enough action to keep you flicking the pages with Hunter and Kennedy's hot relationship, his Insatiable appetite for Kennedy, drama, danger, investigations, humour and great characters. A brilliant balance of everything throughout.

A great plot and recomended read.

Dover and McLaughlin just brought the heat!
This book practically sizzled in my hands. So hot, so sexy, so steamy that I felt melted to the pages in the very best way. It's not just (incredibly hot) sex scenes though; there is a real story here - a plot that draws you in and keeps you entertained throughout.
Let's say I'm not a prude - by any means. But joining something like Society X would definitely be pushing my boundaries a little bit. That being said, if Mason is there - Sign. Me. The. Eff. Up. I love him. I love his dialogue and his mannerisms and the way he carries himself.
I need a standing reservation with Mason, thank you very much.
This story is seamless, entertaining, and sexy as sin. A definite one-click!

Viewing Room (Society X #2) by LP Dover & Heidi McLaughlin
4 stars!!!

“You are the only one I want, but I’m going to have fun proving it.”

This was my first foray into Society X and now I need to go back and read book 1, The Dark Room. These can be read as standalones but now my curiosity is seriously piqued. This was not what I was expecting at all, from the blurb alone I was expecting some erotic sex club book about sexcapades and all that jazz, however, for me Viewing Room was more a romantic suspense with the added bonus of a little of what I expected added for good measure, so you get the best of both worlds.

“Society X is an elite club that allows you to explore your sexual fantasies, be someone you’re not anonymously and find ways to take your encounters with your partner to a whole new level.”

Hunter Miles is a twenty-five year old stripper for Society X, he was drop dead gorgeous, could dance the panties off anyone but unlike most was a lot more under the fake tan and hot dance moves. Society X was a means to an end for him and was not what he anticipated doing in years to come. He had ideals and aspirations and Society X wasn’t one of them. He had a heart of gold and a good head on his shoulders and he was totally adorable.

Kennedy Vaughn was a partner of a law firm, she was thirty-three, newly divorced and a work-a-holic. To celebrate her divorce, her work colleagues decide to take her to the renowned Society X club, to get her back on the horse so to speak and for her to plant her feelers. This was the last thing on Kennedy’s mind but to placate them, she went along for the ride. Kennedy’s life was about to change in more ways than one.

“Just thought I’d see if you’d be interested in someone younger. I’m positive I could make you feel things your ex-husband couldn’t.”

Hunter and Kennedy meet at the club and the attraction on both sides was immediate, Kennedy is hesitant to do anything about it but Hunter is a persistent devil and I am so glad he was. So we have older woman, younger man but on paper you didn’t really feel that age gap at all. Hunter was smart and mature for his age and his early relationship with Kennedy felt real and the chemistry was definitely tangible.

“The whole idea of Society X is exhilarating and sexy, but kind of dirty and creepy all at the same time. With that being said, why am I loving every second of it? I should be dating a respectable man, not a stripper.”

It seems though that their paths will cross through work too and it is this element that really brings the suspense element into play. I don’t really want to say anymore for fear of spoilers but Heidi McLaughlin and LP Dover totally took this book on a tangent I never saw coming, but none the less welcomed.

I will say that there was a LOT of drama in this book, some maybe a little OTT but at the end of the day, it is fiction. However, the crux of the story, the romance between Hunter and Kennedy was stunning. I really loved these two with a passion. Their chemistry was off the charts, the dialogue between them was fun which brought out their personalities and then when needed morphed into the serious emotional side which gave us the insight into their thoughts and feelings. Ultimately, a relationship that should never have worked was sold, to me the reader, without even trying, the characters sold it themselves.

“All that’s going to happen is me falling in love with you more.”

Now I have to go and read about the Dark Room, having read Viewing Room first and knowing what the Dark Room is, my curiosity is well and truly piqued. Seems I may be having a Society X marathon.

When you decide to read a book based on the hot blurb and expect nothing more than what it says and you get way more than you expected. I honestly thought this book was going to be just hot, kinky and naughty sex. I mean it was but there was more to the story! Hunter and Kennedy meet at Society X and they have strict rules and policies. They decide to break the rules because they just can't fight their sexual attraction. While reading I just knew I had this book pegged and happy to report I did not. Hunter took me by complete surprise. He was smart, determined and career driven. He wasn't just your hot stripper. Kennedy just got out of a loveless marriage and all she does is work. Being with Hunter makes her take a step back and appreciate things in life. I know some people didn't like she was older than him but it didn't bother me because she wasn't way older. I do wish that we got more development with Hunter and Kennedy. Granted they had good sexual chemistry I didn't feel that connection and pull between the couple. The side story was good and didn't see those twist coming either. The writing was good and the story was fast paced and overall is was a good read. The first book is on sale and I picked up a copy!

This book was a fast sexy steamy read. I thoroughly enjoyed it while trying to get over a little book hangover I had found myself in. While this book didn't completely consume me, it definitely pulled me in and I grabbed my attention. I enjoyed the characters, the plot was intriguing and the story moved along at a fast steady pace and gave me everything I needed from it. Sex, Sass, Sparks, and Laughs, these ladies deliver all the way across the board.

Although Viewing Room is part of a series, it can 100% be read as a standalone. After reading this book, I'm kicking myself for not reading the first one. I'll have to go back and read that ASAP.

Kennedy Vaughn is a partner in a prestigous law firm who has spent the majority of her past few years emerged in work. Now that she is recently divorced, her law partner decides that it's time for her to let loose and celebrate. What better way then an exclusive club that caters to sexual fantasies ranging from stripping to much much more. Expecting to enjoy a view of some male strippers, Kennedy never expected for one particular guy to fully catch her attention. She can't drag her eyes away from him. When she learns that he is a stripper at Society X, she's ready to cut loose and enjoy the show. What she didn't expect was the instant attraction.

Hunter Miles is one of the top male employees at Society X. One that has always enjoyed the perks of attending to women's desires. He loves the thrill of the tease. Then Kennedy walked into the club. Drawn to her instantly, he couldn't stay away from her. When she ends up spending more time at the club, he continues to pursue her. Can he push away his instant lust and focus on his job with all the ladies or will she consume his thoughts until he gets her?

I really had fun with this book. I think that Hunter is the perfect balance to Kennedy. He knows what he wants and he goes after it. He's restless, which stacks up well against Kennedy's personality. Their chemistry is insane and their sex senses were HOT. Their first Viewing Room experience had me melting and quite possibly panting. No shame :)

Overall, I enjoyed this book. If you are looking for a steamy hot read with a good plot outside of those sexy scenes, this this might be the book for you to pick up and read next. I read it in almost one sitting.

Very steamy slow-cooker romance
I don’t know how this is possible but the SEX SCENES GOT EVEN BETTER!

“Even though this is a sex club, it’s clean. So clean I’d bring my grandmother here, but then she’d ask how I know about this place and I’d have to lie.” -Hunter
-Hahahahhahahaaaa...

“Grandma doesn’t know that my income is based on how well I can take my clothes off at night or how well I might stroke my d!ck. It’s not something you bring up at dinner. The last thing I want to do is give her a heart attack. Or have her think I need to repent.”
-Hahahahaaaaa!

“Are you ready, Kennedy?” I murmur against her as my hands caress her shoulders. She tenses and I love that I make her nervous. If she asked me to f#ck her right there on stage, I’d do it in a heartbeat. I’ll make her come like she’s a f#cking porn star and make her feel things she could only imagine in her wildest fantasies.”
-Jesus! Hunter !

“What happened?” G Money asks as he comes off stage.
“F#cking b!tch slapped my ass, and then her friends got all up in my sh!t because they got tossed.”
“You should’ve farted on her.”
“Jesus Christ, Gary. I’d like to keep my job. I have a feeling management won’t take too kindly to the dancers sh!tting on the patrons.” Even though it’d be funny as hell, I can’t take the risk. I need my job.”
“I used to do it if they didn’t tip enough. The lap dances are cheap and they tip a f#cking dollar.”
-I broke out into a fit of giggles! Out loud like a mad-woman! Hahahaha!
Im still laughing typing my review.

“A baby, huh?”
She nods again, wiping her tears. I pull her into my arms and kiss every part of her face that I can. “I hope it’s a monkey.”
“What?” She sits back in her seat.
“F#ck, Kennedy. If we have a girl, she’s never leaving the house, and a boy … what am I going to teach him? How to stroke his d!ck for money?” Her eyes go wide. “See, a monkey would be much better.”

I am in love with this dual POV from Hunter and Kennedy. Seeing both sides really gave more perspective. I love Hunter!

My only gripe with this book is the story. A little too stretched out and long. There were also too many moments that seemed to be the tipping point. First, Hunter was a stripper falling for an older lady. Then that he knew her from the past. Then he is also a lawyer Intern at her lawfirm. Then Kennedy gets a case in which she has to spy on member of Society X (which is illegal). Then “said member” goes on a killing spree agains Kennedy, Hunter and his ex wife... which was the final and true Climactic moment.

Can I have Hunter? Please? Pretty please?

I guess it’s pretty obvious that I adored Hunter but outside of him and all his sexy, sweet glory, Viewing Room was a fun, smoking hot read that I had difficult time putting down and a twist that even I didn’t see coming.

Obviously we’re going to start with Hunter because he really was all that and a bag of chips. He’s enjoyed the perks of working at Society X and makes no bones about it, but he does have his reasons for working there and isn’t about to make it a career. It’s a means to an end and that becomes even more obvious as he is about to achieve his goal and finds himself in the Viewing Room. Hunter may not be telling everyone in his life what he does to make ends meet, but that is one of few things he isn’t honest about. He’s blunt and to the point and when he has a goal, he’s a force to be reckoned with. He also has a sweet, flirty and compassionate side that tempered his more aggressive Alpha-ness side and it made for a lethal combination.

Kennedy, I liked, but she drove me a little batshit as well. Despite being a bit wild in her teen years, she has since mellowed and stayed to the safe side of line when it comes to her choices, especially since her profession is one where image and reputation are everything. But with her divorce finalized she is taken to Society X and a trip to the Viewing Room and she finds that the wild side of her nature that’s been dormant for all these years is about to come out to play. Kennedy is a strong, intelligent, compassionate and accomplished woman and she’s worked hard for everything thing she has. My issue with her was for someone in her profession, she was quick to judge. There were times when I understood it, especially when she first meets Hunter, but some of the others ~ especially the one towards the end ~ had me wanting to reach out and smack her, thankfully she had people around her, Hunter included, to talk her down and she at least admitted to being irrational.

Their relationship was something of a whirlwind. Insta-lust is in full effect and they act on it,quickly, but it does take a while for things to get to the “I love you’s” which I liked. Trust is built and I liked how they went with their guts. Hunter stripping is an issue that comes up a lot, and for good reason, but Kennedy soon starts to see beyond that and that’s when she starts to let her walls down. I loved how Hunter would push, but know when to step back and let Kennedy work things out on her own. The chemistry between them was hot and I liked how they ended up bringing out the best in each other and truly enjoying being with each other outside of the sex.

The writing was engaging and seamlessly done. The dual 1st person POV’s were done well and liked being in both of their heads, even Kennedy’s. The secondary storyline in the book was an interesting one and the twist that came with it was one I didn’t expect, but I’ll be honest that was more background noise for me because I just wanted to hang out with Hunter, but I liked how it played out. The supporting cast of characters were fun to be around and I liked what they brought to the story. I didn’t read Dark Room, but there wasn’t any carry over that I could tell, so this can definitely be read as a true standalone. But I will be looking for the next one!

I’ve read Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover’s individual works before, but this wass my first time reading one of their collaborations; I did not read the first book in the Society X series. I went into this expecting your typical, erotic romance, perhaps heavy on the erotic. Oh, I got that, but I also got so much more than I was expecting to get, too. Viewing Room was a fantastic surprise—it wasn’t at all what I assumed it would be, and it was way more than the blurb implied.

I totally anticipated that this would be a super sexy, steamy novel. I mean, hello, it’s set in a sex club for Pete’s sake! But this book was seriously hot, and my Kindle was smoking in my hot little hands. I could feel the attraction between Kennedy and Hunter pulsing more and more incessantly with each of their encounters—it literally jumped off the page. The authors issue a warning to the readers in the beginning of the book and, trust me when I tell you, you’d be wise to heed it.

What I wasn’t expecting, though, was the absolutely riveting suspense plot. I really don’t want to give anything away here, so I’ll just say that it kept on the edge of my seat, tapping my Kindle furiously. It was exciting (in more ways than one!), it was heart-pounding, and it was interesting. Hunter and Kennedy worked just as well in this part of the story as they did in the bedroom.

Viewing Room also had a really great romance. There was just so much more to Hunter than met the eye, and I loved watching him peel the layers back for Kennedy. He was sweet, he was smart, and he was a very sexy, dirty-talking alpha. I loved him! It took me a bit longer to warm up to Kennedy. On the heels of her divorce, she was a little gun-shy and a bit judgmental, especially when it came to Hunter. But once she let go of that and gave into what she felt for him, her whole persona changed and I really liked her.

Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover did a fantastic job collaborating on this novel. I’m definitely planning to read the first book in the Society X series, as well as whatever comes next. I absolutely loved that this story was told dual points-of-view; it really underscored the fact that this wasn’t Kennedy’s story or Hunter’s story—it was their story. This book was very well written, and McLaughlin and Dover clearly have very complimentary writing styles, and the way they transitioned between the two of them was seamless as I didn’t notice any shifts in style. A fantastically, sexy romantic suspense story! Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover’s Viewing Room gets five smooches from me!

3.5 More Than Meets the Eye stars

Advanced copy provided by TRSOR promotions and the author in exchange for an HONEST review.

Hunter Miles is a forward thinker when it comes to pleasure. All out enjoying his time as an entertainer at Society X. What's not to love about seeing beautiful women night after night seeking to indulge in their wildest fantasies. But what if the life you thought was pretty damn good all of the sudden looks pale... not nearly as vivid as it can be. Shades of red are clouding his vision of the future.

Natalie( a stunning red head- you see where I am going with this???)is a recently divorced attorney who has thrown her self into her work at the firm shes a partner at. Marriage didn't pan out for her but work will always be there for her. That is until her partner Chris tells her it's time to celebrate her new life. What better place than the ultra exclusive Society X. She's been knocked for a loop with just one visit. But can this really work? Try as she may to fit Hunter into a certain mold he just won't stay there.

Seamless writing once again by the duo of LP Dover and Heidi McLaughlin. I cannot tell where one leaves off and the other picks up. These two really have a great partnership and their stories are full of colorful writing and symmetrical styles. You will be surprised at the turns and twists along with the heat these two can produce!

Happy Reading~ Sherry

Carla's Four Star Review

This is the second book in the Society X series, and it can be read as a standalone.

Society X is an exclusive club where one can enjoy an upscale, striptease atmosphere, and, if you are a member, you can enjoy a lot more in the club's "special" rooms. To celebrate her recent divorce, Kennedy's friends have come together to provide her with a night that she won't soon forget. While Kennedy is checking out the club, her eyes meet with a man across the room, and she is instantly drawn to him. After a brief conversation, she learns that the man's name is Hunter, and he is a male stripper employed by Society X. Their conversation is interrupted when Kennedy's friends reveal to her that her surprise involves a visit to the "viewing room". Imagine her shock when the man hired to give her a private dance turns out to be Hunter. He and Kennedy break all the club rules, and they end up in a relationship. Can two people from seemingly different words find love and happiness in each other's arms?

Hunter is one of Society X's most requested male dancers. He has all the right moves and knows how to please a woman both on and off the dance floor. He is a 100% alpha male who always get what he wants and what he wants most is Kennedy. Let me warn you-when these two get together it is beyond hot. I mean hot with a capital "H". If you are looking for a great love story filled with moments hot enough to melt your kindle, this is the book for you!

This book was extremely addictive. I expected a steamy, red hot novel, but what I got was so much more. After reading the synopsis and checking out the sexy cover, I thought that this was going to be another erotic tale based in a sex club, however I soon realised that the club was just the beginning and I was quickly consumed with Hunter and Kennedy's story.

"What is it about Hunter that makes everything inside of me feel alive?"

I was pulled in by this story as soon as I began reading. It became almost impossible for me to put my kindle down and I read it in less than 24 hours, staying awake until the early hours. It was a fast paced, full of red hot sex and edge of the seat drama. I was hooked! I loved the two main characters and I loved the story that played out before me. I was also intrigued by the other characters that I met and I am keen to know more about them. Because this is the first book that I have read from this series, I missed out on book one so I am keen to catch up with that book and I am also excited to read any future books from the "Society X" series. Having said that, this can be read as a standalone.

"I'm living in the moment and all I see is you.
I'm not gonna be able to stop until I have more."

Because the synopsis of this story is quite vague, I am keeping my review purposely short. I won't say anymore about this book, other than it was brilliant and I highly recommend reading it.

I read the first in the series again before reading this one, and although it was an unlikely set of circumstances that led to those characters realizing their feelings for one another, at least it felt like a genuine romance.

This one... not so much. In fact, it felt rather disingenuous.

From their first meeting, I didn't buy their connection. Their meeting, seeing each other across the room, was a bit tawdry since it was in a strip club, and he was a stripper whose job it was to make patrons feel special. Then their time in the viewing room and subsequent hook up in the parking lot felt seedy. From there, anything that happened was never going to capture me and lead me to cheer for team "Kenter" (or should it be "Huntedy?").

Most of my other problems with the book I won't list because they were just that, my problems. However, it did feel like a string of things I'm not a fan of in romances all packed into one book.

I always say I probably won't read the next in the series, but when it comes out, I'll probably get it.

I'm just thankful it was a quick read at least.

I can touch you, but you cant touch me.
I didn't make the rules. I just follow them. That is until I meet the ONE!!
Hunter Miles, is a stripper. A very HOT stripper. All the faces that he "see's" on the floor where he dances all begin to look the same. Until he meets Kennedy Vaughan. She's the games changer. Now that I have finished reading this amazing book, I need a VERY, ICED. COLD. SHOWER!!! The sex scenes were amazing. But the part that was also out of the ball park is the suspense. Never saw that part coming. I have to say L Dover and Heidi McLaughlin did an amazing job AGAIN!!!

Romance and Fantasy for Cosmopolitan Girls

The viewing room is a wide-open space with a stage on one side and a soft couch on the other. My skin breaks out in chills when I see the bed in the center of the stage along a chair besides it.

I should be dating a respectable man, not a stripper. But there’s something about Hunter I can’t get enough of. He’s wild and dangerous, but his eyes show a whole other side to him. Maybe I’m imagining there’s more to him, but I’m going to find out.

“Hunter, do you know what this means?”That I’m about to get fired from my job from giving out classified client information. I don’t tell her that because I don’t want her to feel bad.

I read the words on the card again. Yep, I’ve seriously fucked up. Staring right at me is her name. Kennedy Vaughn ESQ. Vaughn and Marshall, Attorney in law.I close my eyes and pray there is more than one Kennedy Vaughn, but in my heart I know there isn’t.

Kennedy is a 33-year old lawyer, recently divorced and her partner Chris and several of her coworkers take her to Society X to let her loose. Kennedy is a little self-conscious at first but little by little she lets go, and walking around the strip area she meets the most attractive man she has ever seen, Hunter.
Turns out he works at the club and he is the one giving her a lap dance in the viewing room. Hunter has been working there for a while, he does it to pay for his studies and he also loves the satisfaction in the faces of the women after they see what he keeps in his pants. In addition to earning good money, he also gets to have a lot of sex. What more can this 25 year old man ask for?
But Kennedy is different, it has been a long time since a woman has aroused so much interest in him, he wants to know who she is, he wants to know her and more than anything he wants to fuck her.
When she prepares to leaves in her car, he approaches her and they talk for a bit inside her car, but soon they are having wild car sex. When they finish, Kennedy is so ashamed of what she has done that she kicks him out and leaves at full speed.
The next day, Kennedy is in the coffee shop next to her work place where she goes every morning, but this time she is surprised when she sees Hunter there. He wants to get to know her better, but before giving him the opportunity, she runs away to the bathroom. What she doesn’t count on is that Hunter is going to follow her there. Hunter asks her to go out with him on a date, she refuses bc she thinks that he sleeps with a different woman every night. He assures her that he only wants her and he shows it by getting on his knees and burying his face between her legs.
She finally agrees to go out with him, but many surprises await her along the way. The first when she finds out that Hunter is one of the law students who are going to do an internship at her firm. After the shock and after establishing a few rules at work, things relax and Kennedy and Hunter continuing dating while Hunter is working with Chris, Kennedy ‘s partner.
She is handling the divorce case of her friend Jennifer who suspects that her husband is cheating on her, as he spends more and more nights at the Society X. So Kennedy asks Hunter for help, she asks him to find out what he can about the husband, who apparently enjoys very much the viewing room with 2 woman. Hunter would risk it all, bc if he gets caught, he will lose his job and he will have no way to pay for his expenses.
It will be months before they have concrete evidence, but when they get it, no one could expect the hell that is going to break loose.

“Do you always have condoms on you?” “Yes.” When you work in the sex industry, you get laid. I have to be prepared. I can see it in her eyes it’s not the answer she wanted. “Oh God,” she says, covering her eyes. “I need you to go.” “Why?” “Just go, please.” She doesn’t have to ask me again. I take the condom off, wrapping it in a piece of tissue that I find on her console, and slip my pants back “If it’s any consolation, I’ve never been with someone … like this.” “Right.” I shake my head. “No, what I mean is, I’ve never wanted someone like I want you. I don’t get turned on anymore on the job because I’ve grown immune to what is required of us, but with you, you make me so hard I wanted to fuck you earlier.” “Please go.” I nod even though she can’t see me and slip out of her car. By the time I reach mine, she’s tearing out of the parking lot with her tires screeching. “Way to fuck that up, Hunter.”

As I look at my face in the mirror, the door opens and Hunter comes barging in, locking the door behind him. I jerk around and back myself into the wall. “Seriously?” He stalks toward me. “I told you I had something to say and you’re going to hear me out. Why are you so afraid? You wanted it the other night just as much as me.” Not being able to deny it, I stand there frozen as he moves closer. “And don’t try to deny it because I can tell. I can see it in your eyes. You wanted me then and you want me now.” “You’re such an arrogant bastard,” I hiss. I try to step past him, but he blocks my way, cornering me with his hands against the wall. His lips are so close I feel his breath against my face. “I’m not saying that to be an ass, Kennedy. I’ve never had anyone affect me the way you did the other night. It was intense and something I hadn’t felt in a long time. I’m not gonna lie … I want more. I’ve been going out of my mind hoping I’d see you again. I’m living in the moment and all I see is you. I’m not gonna be able to stop until I have more.” “What happens when you get that?” I ask breathlessly. “You move on to the next piece of ass?”He shakes his head. “I’ll want even more.”

I know what Kennedy thinks of me. Her words were laced with ignorance when she reminded me that I’m a stripper. That’s how she sees me. Thing is, I don’t care. I just want a chance to prove her wrong and to show her that I’m a stand-up guy who takes care of his priorities. I also know she’s perfect for me. There are things I’ve never experienced before that I have with her. I’ve grown immune while performing and a master at keeping my dick under control … until I met Kennedy. However, Kennedy’s voice is in my head reminding me that she’s too good for me because I’m a stripper.

“All right, I see you’re going to make me work for it.” I slide my hand away from his and stand. “I just want to see how serious you are. If you really want a date, then prove to me I’m the only one you want. In return, I’ll open myself up to other possibilities.”“You are the only one I want, but I’m going to have fun proving it.”

“What are you going to be doing tonight?” He approaches me, his arms snaking around my waist. I let him hold me, but I don’t hold him back. “Are you worried I’m going to fuck someone?” “That’s all up to you, Hunter. I can’t stop you.” “No, you can’t, but I guess it’s a good thing I don’t want to. I told you I’m going to prove to you I’m serious about this. By the sound of your voice, you don’t trust me.” “Kind of hard to when I know you take your clothes off every night.” With a sigh, he lets me go. “There’s only one way for that to change. Go out with me and you’ll see I’m not the dirtbag you seem to think I am. All I ask is for one date.”“Fine, we’ll go on a date. When do you want to go?” Grabbing my wrist, he pulls me to him, and this time I wrap my arms around his neck. “Thursday night,” he murmurs against my lips. “But there’s something I want you to do first.” “What?” “Request me for the viewing room. I’ve been dying to get you back in there.” I lick my lips and smile. “That can be arranged.” The words leave my lips before I can even think about them. I can't take them back now. Before meeting Kennedy, I would’ve easily told this woman where to meet me if I were interested, but even those encounters were few and far. Kennedy is the only one that I have hooked-up with right from the club. It was spontaneous and the best sex I’ve ever had. I can’t imagine anything or anyone would be better. “Thursday night, Kennedy. I’ll wine and dine you, and you can guarantee I’m going to I’m fuck you so hard you won’t be able to walk into work on Friday.” She looks sated and ready for round two when I pull away from her. I kiss her chastely on the lips and disappear quickly behind the curtain to finish off my raging dick. It doesn’t take me long to release, ending what had to be the most erotic strip tease I’ve ever done.

“I think that’s the problem in our relationship.” “I wasn’t aware we had any problems,” I state, blanching at her words. Kennedy puts her hands up and shakes her head. “No, you misunderstand. What I mean is, I can function normally when I’m around you … most of the time. I can tell myself there’s a time and place for us to be intimate, but then I think about you all the time. I see you standing here in a towel, shaving and it’s the sexiest thing I’ve seen since I saw you reading the newspaper in bed. All I can think about is being with you, feeling you inside me.” She smiles and bites her bottom lip. “But what really gets me is the way you speak. No one’s ever talked dirty to me the way you do.”“Do you want me to stop talking?” “God, no. I think it’s hot.” “Even the part where I said I want to see you on your knees with my cock down your throat?” Giggling, she throws her arms around my neck. “Even that part. Sometimes I wish you weren’t so damn sexy though. I’ve seen the way other women look at you.” I hold her tight. “You have nothing to worry about, Kennedy. This me you’re seeing, is because of you. I’ve never been like this with anyone else and I sure as hell am not interested in anyone other than you. When I’m near you, I’m hard. When I think about you, I’m hard. My dick is in a perpetual state of being erect and I should probably seek medical attention. I’m all yours, baby.” “You sure?” I press my body against hers so she can feel what she does to me. “Positive. My body craves you.” She pulls me into a kiss, opening her lips so I can taste her. “My body craves you too, Hunter. Only you.”

“Did you cheat on me with another woman?” I choke out. “What?” he shouts, eyes widening. He rushes toward me and grabs my shoulders, his face frantic. “Why the hell would you think that?” “So nothing happened between you and another woman?”“Fuck no. I would never cheat on you, Kennedy. I’m falling in love with you for Christ’s sake. I would never fuck that up.”

“Bomb,” I say, but no one is listening to me. I try again and again, but no one cares. Can’t they see me lying on the ground? Before I can move, the explosion rips through the building and rubble starts to fall on me. I cover my head as much as I can while fire spreads all around me.

**I received an ebook copy in exchange for an honest review**

So, yeah, I’d like to know exactly how I can get into the viewing room. Haha.

I haven’t read the first book in this series, but since they can be read as standalones, I jumped on the chance to check this out, since I love both of the authors. And oh man, am I ever glad I made that choice.

Kennedy Vaughn is an attorney. She’s living the single life after amicably parting ways with her husband. Life is mostly work and not much play for her, until her colleagues and friends convince her to check out Society X, a members only club that offers up the finest in erotic entertainment. Everything changes for Kennedy the minute she enters the viewing room.

Hunter Miles is a law student by day and a male entertainer at night. He’s finishing up law school, and is about to start his internship at a reputable firm. From the moment he first locks eyes with Kennedy, he feels something for her, something he hasn’t ever felt for any other woman. Starting a relationship with her won’t be something easy, however…

I absolutely loved this book, for many different reasons. The plot was fantastic, well thought out, and kept me on the edge of my seat. I was eager to see where things would go for Kennedy and Hunter, but to also see what was going to happen with the case Kennedy was working on. I was biting my nails in suspense one second and practically melting off the chair from the hot scenes the next. The two authors keep me constantly guessing about so many different things, which kept my attention as a reader and left me wanting to get back into the story as soon as I could whenever I had to put it down.

(For the record, I never wanted to put the book down.)

Hunter is amazing. He’s smart, he’s sexy, he’s got this self-confidence that’s just there on the borderline of arrogance, but doesn’t quite tip over in that direction. Once he decides what—or who—he wants, he doesn’t stop until he attains it. And he doesn’t let challenges deter him or drag him down. Plus, he’s an incredible sweetheart to Kennedy. He cares for her, which is so evident by his actions and words, and he’s so, so dedicated to her. He’s willing to take risks for her, and to do whatever is necessary to ensure they can be together, and all those things made me fall head over heels for him. He’s definitely earned a spot on my Top Book Boyfriends of 2016 list.

I like how the authors were able to take something that’s been in numerous books (the sex club) and turn it into something completely different than anything I’ve read about. The descriptive scenes and vividness with which this was written made me feel like I was actually there alongside Kennedy, getting my own tour of Society X. When it comes to any type of erotic novel, there’s so many things that are recycled and written about over and over and over. Sometimes the stories can be so stale, but that’s absolutely not the case with Viewing Room. What McLaughlin and Dover have given us is a fresh and exciting new novel that’s filled with action, hot sex, romance, and a bit of good old fashioned angst.

I could literally go on and on about how amazing this book is, but instead of doing that, I’ll just tell you all to go and check it out. If you’re looking for a read that will keep you on the edge of your seat and have you scouring through your night stand in search of B.O.B., then this is the perfect book for you!

Five stars to this novel!

•••••••••••

REVIEW: VIEWING ROOM is the second installment in the contemporary adult SOCIETY X erotic, romance series co-authored by Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover. This is Society X employee twenty five year old Hunter Miles, and thirty three year old attorney Kennedy Vaughn’s story line. Society X is an exclusive sex club where membership has its’ privileges and sometimes the cost is too high. VIEWING ROOM can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Kennedy and Hunter) VIEWING ROOM follows attorney Kennedy Vaughn as she steps out of her comfort zone and into Society X in celebration of her recent divorce. Enter Hunter Miles, Society X stripper and male entertainer and the man with whom our heroine will fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship between Hunter and Kennedy, and the fall out of an investigation that threatens Kennedy’s life and the people at Society X. Kennedy’s latest case turns dangerous and personal.

The attraction between Kennedy and Hunter is immediate. Hunter is Kennedy’s fantasy dance on the night of her celebration, and our couple immediately turns up the heat at the end of the night. Hunter is several years younger than our story line heroine, and in this Kennedy has some issues with his age, and his choice of employment and income. Hunter is a young man paying his way through university, and working for Society X is paying all of his bill, as well as someone close to his heart. The $ex scenes are erotic, intense and seductive.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Kennedy’s business partner Chris Marshall, and several office employees and clients. We are introduced to Hunter’s fellow dancers and Society X workers, as well as a number of patrons and regulars at the club.

The world building focuses on Society X-the patrons, the back rooms, the employees who struggle with what they do and why. The Viewing Room allows the patrons to witness and watch without the benefit of touch or participation.

VIEWING ROOM is an erotic story line with some scenes of graphic violence and language. The premise is entertaining with a little bit of suspense; the characters are colorful, energetic and animated; the romance is passionate, intimate and beautiful. McLaughlin and Dover will captivate your imagination and make you blush with Viewing Room of Society X .

So I read Dark Room and loved it, although not what I expected I really enjoyed it. So I knew what I was getting into with this book. I knew what to expect and this story blew me away and I did not expect what happened. I was on the edge of my seat during this book and it was so tense and unexpected and it took some unexpected turns that I totally did not expect but nevertheless was really good!

From the moment this book started it blew me away the attraction between Hunter and Kennedy was off the charts. It is like the moment they laid eyes on each other there was an instant attraction and lust and man did these authors write it well. It was hot and intense. The lap dance between these two was hot and the car sex was fire.

Kennedy is a lawyer and she’s damn good at it too, she starts going to the club to help catch one of her clients’ husband cheating on her and from there it spirals. It spirals brilliantly and better than I ever thought was possible.

I loved that the Hunter was honest and the only reason he was working at Society X was so he could get through school to become a lawyer, honestly the two of them meeting outside the club for the first time was one of my favourite things.

I love how Kennedy and Hunter’s relationship grew and although she tried to keep it professional but it soon failed as they kept falling back into bed with each other and you could see their relationship going from lust to love and I love how they felt about each other.

I love that hunter is willing to risk his job to help Kennedy with her client and even knowing that there is risks. The difference between this book and the first one is the stakes are so much higher in this book, I was on the edge of my seat during this book I could not put it down. The stakes just kept getting higher and higher. I’m also not going to say why because that will totally spoil the plot and it’s better if you don’t know the thing that’s going to happen. Just know I actually felt fear for these characters like I did not know if some of them was going to survive.

I really loved the plot and the characters and the writing was amazing! I will definitely be reading more from this author duo.

Star Rating: 5 stars!

Holy hell, if you want a steamy, dirty and just out of this world read then definitely get this book and dive in!

Hunter Miles is a drop dead gorgeous stripper at a club that is members only and to become a member you have to pay a steep membership. Is it worth it to see men like hunter at night? Can Hunter stay away when he sees a woman who could drop him to his knees permanently?

Kennedy Vaughn, high powered family attorney recently divorced lives and breathes work until one night her coworkers take her to the club that is so private that you have to go with a member just to get inside. She never sees him coming for her but when she finally sees him can she resist him or will she give in and let loose?

I loved everything about this book, I love the dynamic between Hunter and Kennedy throughout. It was realistic in a way that made it seem like a everyday theme for someone in college that just sees a means to an end. I am so glad I read this and I look forward to the next book, The Play Room. I love L.P. Dovers writing and I was surprised with this one and now after having read this one I will be looking into more of Heidi McLaughlin's books too!

A dirty in depth alpha male but also a woman on top and in charge type of read. It was fantastic.

5 Stars!

After Dark Room, book one in this series, I was expecting BIG things from this book. Dark Room was a top read from me. I am a huge L.P. Dover fan and an even bigger fan of Heidi McLaughlin... but man these two ladies together are dynamic. This book was so good... it sucked me in from page one and I didn't put it down until this story devoured... ME.

Viewing Room was a sexy, sweet, intense, passionate, and slightly suspenseful read full of steam, lust, love, and happily ever afters. This book kept me on my toes, on the edge of my seat as I read their story. I fell hard and fast for Kennedy and Hunter. These two had so much fire and tension between them... and the bedroom scenes? Scorching!

Meet Kennedy. She is a divorced lawyer who has lived a comfortable and safe life up until now. She is smart, strict, and lives by routine. When her friends take her to celebrate freedom with a night at Society X, she has no idea it is going to changer her life.

Enter Hunter. Young, sweet, ambitious, and love his grandma with everything in him. Hunter has goals and dreams... Society X is just a way to make those happen. When he meets Kennedy, he instantly knows she is different and wants more from her.

They come from different yet similar worlds. Both goal and career driven people, they know what they want and that is each other. But their lives are about to get a little bit more complicated. Throw in some drama and suspense and we have a captivating novel.

I swooned and swooned and swooned. Hunter will definitely go down in this books as a top boyfriend for me. I loved the strong side of him as much as his vulnerable side. I loved how real he was. And Kennedy... total girl crush! These two.. gah! I just loved them hard.

I highly recommend this book.

Alright before I get into my review of Viewing Room I have to ask something. What in the hell is everyone’s problems with male strippers? This is the second book in a matter of weeks that the lead male character has been a stripper and the female lead was ashamed of being with him. For some reason that has been annoying me, don’t know why it has been but it does.

Anyways! The Viewing Room was a pretty hot read, especially when Hunter would be in the viewing room and performing for Kennedy. One taste of Kennedy and he was hooked. I really loved Hunter’s character, once he knew that Kennedy was someone he wanted to explore the future with, she stayed true to her and that made me love him completely. He isn’t stripping just to strip, he’s using it to pay for school. What he is going to school for and how well he does, well that is something you will have to find out for yourself.

Kennedy. What can I say about Kennedy. I am on the fence with her character, on one hand I liked her but then she would do or say something just would just get on my nerves so bad that I would have to hurry through her parts just so I could continue. She sort of was hypocritical at times, not liking Hunter’s profession but she sure used that to her advantage when she needed his help with something.

Viewing Room is the second book in the Society X series and can be completely read as a standalone so if you didn’t read The Dark Room don’t worry, you don’t have to. I am curious to see what the authors have planned for the next book after the events that take place in this one; I know I will be making sure I check it out.

*** I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***

Viewing Room is book 2 in L.P. Dover and Heidi McLaughlin’s Society X series. After reading the synopsis, I knew I simply had to I had to read it. I loved the mystery surrounding it and that the synopsis gave very little away. Viewing Room is a standalone novel, but I did quickly download and read the first book in the series “Dark Room” and I so glad I did, as I love that one too! The Viewing Room at Society X is the place where you can indulge in your secret desires and fantasies and much more.

“He stares at me as if he can see right through me; it makes me shiver”

I loved the storyline at first glance you may think it’s going to be about sex, sex, and more sex, but that wasn’t the case. Yes, there is plenty of hot sex happening within the pages, but there is also more, drama, angst, cute, tender, funny and heartwarming moments. Hunter is hot as is his relationship with Kennedy. These two can’t get enough of each other and it’s more that just the sex!

“What is it about Hunter that makes everything inside of me fell alive”

“I’ve never had anyone affect me the way you did the other night. It was intense and something I hadn’t felt in a long time. I’m not going to lie…I want more.”

L.P and Heidi did a great job of not making the story predictable, and I love that. I was captivated from the first to the last page. So it safe to say after being complexly satisfied in the Dark Room, and then in the Viewing Room, I cannot wait to visit the Play Room.
