From the Back Cover

Millions were affected by the deaths of David Bowie and Alan Rickman in January 2016. Many wanted to help fight cancer. Forty of them were the authors who met online and released this anthology, with proceeds going to St Jude's Hospital, Minnesota, to fund cancer research.

'Stardust, Always' is a collection of short stories and poems from a group of authors that truly spans the globe, from Britain to Australia, America to China, Mexico to Norway. There are stories of angels and goblins, wizards and shape shifters, those who survived cancer and those who didn't. There are stories of rock stars and piano teachers, mists and melons, Little Red Riding Hood and the end of the world.

This is a diverse collection of writing, from a diverse collection of writers. There is humour, and there is grief. There is hope, and there is acceptance. But always, there is stardust.

A heartfelt and diverse anthology, with everything from personal accounts to poems. There's a brilliantly witty story in there by veteran author Joshua Cejka and a deeply moving debut by Michelle Valens. Between lyrical poems by caregivers and gloriously raw essays by survivors, you will find the sadness, fighting spirit, anger, and hope that depicts the human struggle against cancer. Every contributor volunteered talent and time to publish this book. And all the proceeds go to fund cancer research. What are you waiting for? Buy this book.

This is book is packed with tales of love, loss, and renewal, for cancer affects us all. Fortunately, these days, it's not uniformly fatal, and these stories reflect that.

Buy this book and support St. Jude's cancer research. And then read it - because it's fun and imaginative. Discover these authors. They deserve it.

An anthology of poems and short stories written by indie authors and inspired by the deaths of Alan Rickman and David Bowie. I do not recommend this book if you have health anxiety as most stories have to do with cancer, which I did not expect. There were some standout stories that made the ride worth it - The Man Who Fell Back to Earth by Andrew Barber, Bare Bones by Stacy Whitmire, the Call of the Sea by Fiona Teh, Goblins and Glitter by Katelyn Sweigart, Five Years by Hayley Munro, and Always Stardust by Joshua L Cejka
