Following the events of ‘The Soldiers of Ares’, Maximus and his friends find themselves in the Minerva under the protection of the goddess Athena. But all is not well as they soon learn that locals are less than happy to host them as they are citizens of a country that is currently at war with their Mars. A turn of events forces Maximus to partake in a city wide festival that hosts prominent figures from around the world, while outside the city the tensions rise as the war between Mars and Minerva continues in a stalemate. With so many dangerous forces within the city and the threat of war outside it, Max and his friends find themselves as pawns in a game played between the Gods.
Giorgio Groom was born on the 3rd of August 1993. Introduced to books at a young age his interest in reading grew along with him. Currently working as a content writer, he is a huge fan of the fantasy genre. Other than reading he spends most of his free time trying new and strange cuisines, playing video games and sleeping a lot more than he should. He also has a soft spot for animals of all shapes and sizes, especially dogs. Being a night owl, he can be found wide awake at the late hours of the night. His fascination with Greek mythology is what drove him to write the ‘New World Odyssey’ series and he hopes to keep writing more books in the years to come.
I enjoyed reading the first book and was waiting patiently for the second one. It's written in a way that anyone can understand. The journey of max has opened up new secrets and also hints a lot about future mysteries that are yet to b unfolded. I would recommend the book to all thrill or adventure lovers. Even for kids it's a good novel to enter into the world of imagination and wonder beyond limits.
The wait is finally over! Book 2!!This one is even better than the last book...If you love books related to Greek mythology(like Percy Jackson,The Heir of Olympus etc) u'll love this one...the way each of the gods rule a continent and its different characteristics are awesome!!well..i am not telling any more and ruin your suspense :D ...trust me u'll love it!
Refreshingly different, for here is a read that brings together everything we love about fantasy, mythology, and sheer page eating action. This books ‘take’ on the many characters and tales told in the Greek pantheon is ingenious and severely intriguing. The battle scenes in particular are to be mentioned for their wonderful ability to take you back in time and turn you into that twinkle eyed kid in complete awe. A great read for anybody looking for another great story to disappear into. I recommend reading the first book before the second…..the series has a quality of getting better with every book.
