Although this book could be beneficial to people of all religious beliefs, it was great to be taught the Christian basis for becoming a minimalist. I hadn't ever considered it to be a righteous pursuit before other than my time that I had wanted to be used on my kids was being used moving and organizing stuff. I think this book has finally given me the permission I was pursuing to go against what I was taught growing up that it was wasteful to disguard. The minimalistic philosophies in this book have given me a greater motive to minimalize and that motive is the greatest of all: to be able to better live life intentionally becoming closer to God.
I really liked this book for the season I'm finding myself in. It's not just about cleaning out clutter or organizing. It's about freeing yourself. Having more time for the things that really matter, family friends, community.... dreams and passion. Not a literary masterpiece but a good book! If you need a change or different perspective on owning less, read it!
