I throughly enjoyed this book. It is the second in the series and the first half overlaps with the first book but tells the story from Addy and Brew's point of view. I actually enjoyed this one more than the first book.

Addy, on the outside might appear as a spoiled rich brat, but she is no where near that. She sacrifices herself to protect her sister, not knowing her sister is doing the same thing for her. Brew is not your typical biker. He going the MC after he gets out of prison and has no where else to go. These two fall in love, but Addy is scared to escape her present life for her sisters sake.

I fell in love with Addy and Brew. I loved their romance story. Brew jumps right in and rescues her from her terrible life. This book has is all romance, and sad parts. I would recommend it for everyone.

For most of the book my stomach was in knots. Brew and Addy's story isn't a pretty one but it was theirs. Some chapters in the book were disturbing to read. Be prepared for emotional and physical abuse as well as non-consensual sex and violence

Everyone thought Addy had a charmed life but she was living a horrible secret perpetrated by her loved ones. I wanted to reach in the book and slap her brother in law (along with a few others)

Brew becomes her knight and protector. He was always a protector but it was the incident with his sister that caused him to be the man her is today. Daddy and Brew had sparks immediately. Unfortunately, she had to go back to her reality. It took Brew a bit to stop moping and figure out on best way to save his girl. With his brother's at his back he's prepared for the fight of his life.

While I can't say I loved the book, it was the emotional journey between this couple that kept me reading about their story.

Some love stories don't start out with hearts and flowers but it makes the end results so much sweeter.

☆ I received an ARC via the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you! ☆

I have a weakness for MC reads and am always keeping my eye out for the next big thing.

Filthy Bastard in the second in its series and had love, drama, chaos, honor and family all mixed in one.

I loved the feel of the brotherhood embodied throughout the book and how this book embroidered this bond with Brew, his MC bros, and his budding romance with Addy. It was perfectly intertwined and highlighted the characters' plights and character growth nicely.

Also, the chemistry between the leads. I totally bought and ate it up. They both have similar upheavals and are just two individuals wanting to be rid of their pasts and move on toward a better future. It solidified everything about them and made their romance development realistic and believable. Not to mention, their sexy time?! Holy batman!! *fans self*

I definitely want more from this series and am excited for what's to come, with glimpses of progress from previous characters as well!!

5+ Stars! Grim Bastards…the dirtier & filthier the better. These men cannot get any hotter. They fiercely protect their women and love them even harder. In Dirty Bastard we heard how Boz, club President of the Grim Bastards, claimed Trix after she and her best friend Addy were kidnapped by the Grim Bastards. One of the men who picked up the girls was Brew who was the club’s sergeant at arms and he had an immediate attraction to the little red head. Brew was a man who tried to do right by his family at a younger age and was given in to the juvie system and then prison system for trying to help his sister. He came from a very rich family who put money and social status before anything else which included their children. Can you imagine how Brew felt when he found out that the person he was falling in love with came from the same kind of family that he did?!

For Addy being kidnapped was a relief from what she had been going through in her personal life. She and her sister Alex were being blackmailed by their own parents and these girls would do anything, and I mean anything, to stick by one another in order to make life a little better at least until they would be able to run away and never look back. There was just one little hold up to this plan of theirs and that was that Alex needed heart surgery in order to save her life. The girls had to bide their time and do what needed to be done in order for their parents to be willing to pay for this surgery. They sacrificed their body and souls out of love for each other.

Brew might have been a filthy bastard but Addy liked that with Brew. He was her protector while she was at the clubhouse and after she was released from them to go back home he still was her protector especially once he found out what was really happening in Addy’s life. Everything from Brew’s past came back and hit him right in the heart and he would do whatever he could to save Addy from the situation she was in. With encouragement from Trix, Brew got to the bottom of Addy’s secrets and he dealt with them as any badass protective biker would for the woman he wanted to claim as his. So what were the secrets that Addy was keeping from everyone in order to protect her sick sister and would Addy be able to forgive herself for what she felt she had to do even if it cost her the man she was falling in love with? Was Brew able to figure out what was happening to Addy soon enough before this situation took her away from him for good?

Filthy Bastard is one of those books that you better not have anything else planned to do because you won’t get it done…this book was that damn good. Be ready to be put on a rollercoaster of feelings because the authors had you going to heart wrenching extremes. You will find out that there are times that you are better off dealing with a deadly biker mc than dealing with people who do not know what loyalty and love are all about.

4.0 LITTLE RED STARS!!!

Can you handle filthy?
Hooooot!!! *Fanning

I am a sucker for MC books and the moment I finished reading Dirty Bastard I know I have to read Filthy Bastard. This is Brew and Addy's story. We met them in the first book and reading their part in the story then made me so damn curious as to what's gonna happen to their blooming interaction and feelings when Addy was kidnapped together with Trix.

Man, the collaboration of these two authors were brilliant. From the first book up to Filthy Bastard, they keep on getting better. I said this before, the story did not really focused on the MC world, but f*ck this new book in the series is just different. From MC world to to the romance that was written were elaborated well and written flawlessly. If I have loved the characters then, I have loved them even more now. I was surprised to the flow of the story and to tell you I did not expect some few twists and turns of the events. I was bombarded with heart wrenching scenes that made me pause and look for damn tissues and even chugged a bottle of wine because the scenes just really got me.
Although the blurb already gave us an idea about the book plus we met the characters a while back, there's really more to it than that and I don't think I need to elaborate the details. I know from my experience it's better read blind because I want you to feel a different roller coaster ride of emotions as you go along with your reading. Something that will make your heart clenched, made you shed a tear, made you want to punch and kill someone, made you even scream so damn loud and made your jaw drop and made you even want to close your damn eyes in hope for shutting down your imagination to some other scenes. It was just crazy but damn crazy good!

However despite it all, the romance between these two is really an added bonus. The growing feelings and the emotions that bloomed in just a small period of time is just beautiful to read. Both strong leads that went through such a difficult time dealing with a baggage, from their struggles and wanting to get free. Free from everything until they found love for each other and then learned to let go. And don't get me started with their hot sex scenes because filthy is filthy and those scenes were just panty melting and sizzling!

Overall, really the book is good. Filthy Bastard is one of those books I can't put down and I enjoyed so much reading. And to be honest I want more from these two and I want more of these bikers.

Good job! A must read.

---------

In the second book of the series the adventure continues and we have the story of Addy and Brew. The two appeared in the first book, but we had no idea what was going on in their lives. But both were carrying secrets that weighed in the soul of the two.
With the unfolding of the story we're being sucked into the story and follow the roller coaster of emotions that our heroes awakens us. I loved certain scenes and other I wanted to get into the book and talk some sense in the characters.
The author gives us a story that holds us from start to finish and charismatic characters that leave us wanting more.
I highly recommend reading and this series promises much excitement yet.

Book two in the Bastard series see's the plot explored from Brew and Addy's point view. Addy is Trix's best friend and ends up kidnapped right alongside her in a club war that has nothing to do with them. In the week of her kidnap Addy teams up with Brew and catches a glimpse of happiness she has never before experienced. From a family that prizes appearances, public image and money before loyalty, love and honour Addy realises what belonging actually feels like as part of the MC. Returning to her reality proves harder than even she imagined as things turn even darker...

Brew wants her but thinks he can't have her. Add wants him but feels like she doesn't deserve him. When loyalties are stretched and the truth is revealed can Brew handle the harsh reality that he faces to claim his woman or will the pain of his past prevent him from taking what he wants? Appearances are deceptive.

Filthy Bastard is even better than the the first in this series, dealing with a struggle no one should have to face and a situation no one should find themselves in. Tears. I shed a few. I also smiled and cheered especially as the blow torch was unleashed! This series just goes from strength to strength and I am excited to read the next.

A four and a half star read.

I gave this book 4.5 stars!

I was so looking forward to reading this book after reading Dirty Bastard and I was totally blown away with Addy and Brew ' s story. If you read Dirty Bastard then you know how Addy and Brew met. If not it's ok because in the first few chapters you get to see how this love story takes place. You can read this book as a stand alone but highly recommend reading this series. The story line deals with so much of the real life situations, that you can really relate to. You not only see how Brew and Addy life is but how the secondary characters are doing. From the start to end you will not be disappointed. Grab a box of tissue a glass of wine because the emotions will make you need both.

I can't wait to read more from this series as well as other works from Emily.

~ 5 Little Red Stars ~

Just like the first book in this series…Filthy Bastard was everything I expected when I read a MC novel. We got grit, raw emotion, tenderness, heartache, romance and a really HOT MC Hero ;)

Filthy Bastard is the second book in Emily Minton and Shelley Springfield’s Grim Bastard MC Series. I knew after reading the first book that these two authors were perfect together and know how to write an amazing book. After reading this book it is just solidified….I love books written by these two authors.

Filthy Bastard is a standalone MC novel. I believe that you don’t have to read the first book to understand this book, but it is my STRONG recommendation that you read these books in order. We have some story overlap in this book, that I think would make more sense after reading Dirty Bastard (Book 1). Plus you meet both Addy and Brew in book 1 and their story is started in that book also. In this book we dive more into who Addy and Brew really are. We get a lot of their back story and we find that they actually have a lot in common. I knew after reading book 1 I was going to love Addy and Brew’s story and I am happy to say I wasn’t disappointed at all!!! I think I actually liked it even more than book 1.

I thought the pace and flow of the story and the authors writing styles was flawless. Everything moved at the right speed and I still can’t tell you which author wrote which part. I loved that this story is told in dual POV. I always think it’s great being in both characters heads. I had a hard time putting this book down once I started the story. The storyline just sucked me in and kept my attention all the way until the end. I even loved the overlap of the first book in this story, because we got to see what was happening between Brew and Addy during those times of Boz and Trix’s story.

In this book we follow the story of Brew and Addy. Brew is the Master at Arms for the Grim Bastard MC club. Addy is the best friend of Trix (from book 1). Addy and Brew meet when Trix is kidnapped and ultimately so is Addy because she was with Trix at the time. Brew is immediately drawn to Addy and swears to protect her at all costs. There were a lot of questions that were raised about Addy and Brew in Dirty Bastard….well all those questions were answered in Filthy Bastard. I love watching these two bond over there bad family life and tragic pasts.

I do want to put a small warning out there about this book. If you are sensitive towards abuse and rape….this might be a book you want to pass on. Nothing is graphically described but some of the scenarios could be uncomfortable for readers to read. There is also some scenes of graphic violence so keep that in mind while deciding on reading this book. I personally don’t like reading about rape in my books, but I will be honest and say that the way this is written, it wasn’t uncomfortable for me to read. It did make my heart break on many occasions, but I was never squeamish while reading this book.

I would for sure recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of the MC Genre. I think this series has everything a MC fan would be looking for in this type of book. I know this is a series I will for sure re read in the future and can’t wait for the remaining books to come out!!!

Review:
“His lips are absolutely amazing. They’re the deepest shade of red, what every woman longs for. Both are full, with his lower lip just a tad bit bigger. The top, though, sports a ring that loops into his mouth. I have to fight the urge to use my tongue and trace its path.”

5 filthy stars!!! Dirty, dark and hot!

I won’t give anything away with my review, but I will say to hold onto our pants!!! This book is dark, twisted and sexy! You will be left on the edge of your seat and everything unfolds!! I love this series, but I will say this is my favorite book of the series so far!!

This is the second book in the Grim Bastard Series, and it was HECTIC. This was my type of MC book. Drama/heart ache/sexy/angry/so many other things

This book made me cry when I read what Addy was going through. And what Brew did to protect his sister, man HECTIC!

With their backgrounds she and Brew were perfect for each other. As the Sergeant at Arms for the club, he was exactly what she needed, as its his job to take care of the club, he took care of Addy too.

Man her parents and Blake!!! WTH, seriously what type of human beings are you!!! :-(. I mean what type of person would think being kidnapped was like going on a vacation from your normal life.

Brew was my Hero! I loved everything about him, character, looks personality OTT alpha male Whoop!
This book will make you feel so many things and will make you want to scream and shout and then #sigh!

Definitely one of those books that you will not be able to put down once you start, and when you get to the end you will not want to close it!

Another winner Ladies, can't wait to read Smoke's story!!! And Hack...YEAH!!!

Five Amazing stars! Addy comes from an abusive family, especially her brother-in-law, she stays because she needs to help her sister. That is until Addy is kidnapped by the Grim Bastards MC and she meets Brew. Brew is Sargent of Arms for the club and comes from a difficult past but things change when he meets Addy. Brew and Addy can not deny their attraction towards one another. Will their pasts interfere with the future they can only wish for? This book can be read as a stand-alone novel but is part of the Grim Bastards MC Series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The authors wrote a story that had me crying one minute and smiling the next. This story is dark and takes twists and turns through out that will keep you guessing. Highly recommend it and the series!

We first met Brew and Addy in Dirty Bastard, I loved how they were together from the start. He calmed her from the beginning. I didn't think I would like this book as much but I loved it more..... The past that would have torn other people made them better together. It had everything I look for in a great book.... Laughs, tears, happy and sad. And let's not forget really good sex!!!!

I will definitely be recommending this book to all of my friends!!!!! And I look forward to the rest of the series!!!!!!!

Filthy Bastard is book 2 in the Grim Bastards MC Series but I feel that it could also be read as a stand alone. Many of the characters that were in the first book were in this one as well, so it gives the reader enough backstory from book 1.

Now on to Brew......
Isaac Aka "Brew", grew up quintessential rich with a big house and being sent to boarding school. But when a horrific event occurred, Brew took matters into his own hands and landed a 7 year prison session. But when leaving prison, he discovered his real family, The Grim Bastards. He was a loyal member and would do anything asked but when he is sent out to kidnap the daughter of a rival MC Pres, he wasn't expecting someone else to be with her.

Addy had it all, well at least that is what her parents wanted everyone to see. But what happens behind closed doors is what nightmares are really made of. The only way for her to get away from her parents and help out her sister is to graduate college and leave. She has a plan in place but when going on a shopping trip with her best friend turns into a kidnapping, her plan soon gets turned upside down.

Throughout this book both Brew and Addy grown close and start to fall for each other. But when Addy's secrets come back to haunt her, she feels that it is best to leave Brew behind. She doesn't want to hurt him and feels that she is not worthy of him, However Brew has a difference of option. He vows to protect her and protect her he does. But are her secrets too much for him to handle? Can Brew get Addy to realize that she is worthy of love and that she is made for him?

I absolutely loved Brew in this book. He has such a way about him that makes me just smile. The things that come out of his mouth could make a girl just swoon. I keep thinking of Jax Teller from SOA every time Brew would do something sweet but in a brutish way. He never looked at Addy as a problem and was totally ready to take her on. Head first if he had to. And Addy, what a survivor. How can one be put through so much and come out somewhat normal. She realizes early that Brew is the man for her and allows herself to be cared for. The supporting characters in the book are fantastic as well. Trix does a great job of being by Addy's side but it is the boys from the MC that truly have the couple's back. They would do just about anything in order to keep the girls safe.

Let's just say I finished this book in one sitting, it was that good. My house remained a mess, no dinner was cooked and I didn't even get out of my pajamas. Emily, you have definitely hit a home run with this one. This will definitely be a book that will be re-read. Can't wait for the next one in the series.

After finishing Dirty Bastard, I couldn't wait to read Filthy Bastard. As much as I loved Boz and liked Trix in the first book. I loved Brew and Addy just as much (shhhh I may have loved them a bit more). So I couldn't wait to read their book.

Filthy Bastard kind of starts around the time Trix and Addy are kidnapped in Dirty Bastard and continues on from there.

I loved Brew even more in this book. I loved getting to know him better. I even felt for him and what he had been through. Brew really isn't your typical biker, he didn't grow up in the lifestyle. He just kind of fell into after getting out of prison. Brew was just sweet, caring and protective in this book, just like he was in the first one.

I loved Addy in the first book and loved her even more in this one. Which is saying something for me. Addy is sweet, caring and a bit sassy. I really felt for Addy and everything her and her sister have been through. You could tell how much her sister meant to her.

I loved every moment of this book and couldn't put it down. I loved Addy and Brew's connection and how it started in the first book.

I'm giving this book 4.5 Stars out of 5 and can't wait for Smokes book!!!

Favorite Quotes:

Unlike my mom and dad, Hoss would love Trix not matter what. She could spend the rest of her life as a lunch lady at the local elementary school, and he'd wear a smile.

She will fight until she realizes she's just wasting her breath. Then, she'll agree to whatever he is saying and go behind his back and do what she wants anyway.

I can get what you're willing to give me any time, but I only want it from you.

My Review:

In Filthy Bastard, some of the characters in the story are filthy rich, other characters are rat bastards, other characters are MC members of a group known as Grim Bastards, and some characters are both filthy rich bastards. Filthy Bastard is a hybrid genre of an intense and gritty MC and an erotic romance with elements of suspense. It was cringe-worthy, angsty, heartbreaking, and highly sensual. The first third of the book followed the same timeline and storyline as the first book of the series, Dirty Bastard, while being even more gruesome and disquieting. The back-stories were intriguing and the story was well paced, although unsettling and disconcerting. While they held my attention and kept me curious and involved, I am relieved to be finished and looking forward to reading lighter fare.

I'm not even sure where to begin with this review. This book was so good, and had me right from the beginning. Addy and her family, well I'll say her parents are some screwed up people. And what they allow to happen to her is unforgivable. Brew has also had a rough go of it with family stuff to. He truly found his family with joining the MC and becoming their sergeant at arms. when a botched kidnapping goes wrong, it brings Addy and Brew together. Brew is drawn to her and only seems to want to protect her. Addy is keeping secrets, secrets so traumatic that a lesser person couldn't handle, but Addy is strong, yet has a pure soft gentle side to. You have to admire her and her love for her sister. Brew had the same love for his sister once upon a time.
the emotions while reading this book was deep. I love to read a gripping story, and this had it. This series is simply well written and has all the wow factors to a great book.
Another 5 star book from two awesome authors!!!!

Filthy Bastard was a true a thorough embodiment of the perfect MC romance story. It had grit. It had angst. It had drama and it had sex. The story of Adyson Sloan and Brew Decker was eye-popping. There were times I may have forgotten how to breath. This is NOT your mama's bedtime story so don't treat it as one. There is drama in this book that will make your hair stand on end. But it's real. It written very well and presented even better. Every facet of the drama is in our face and altho the story itself gave me shivers, I wouldn't have wanted even a word to change.

This wasn't just a love story, it was a story of brotherhood, family. honor and hope. And we got all of it. THIS is what I love about MC stories and these two authors did a phenomenal job of layering love thru drama and chaos and just plain ugliness. I couldn't get enough!

I've got to start my review by saying that before you read this book, you really must read book #1, Dirty Bastard (Grim Bastards MC series).
This second book overlaps slightly and covers issues dealt with in the first book. I really liked this style because it gave me a refresher as I started.

I loved Brew (the H in this story) when I first encountered him as a sub-character in book one, so I was thrilled to get to read his story.

He's got a past that weaves it's way into the tale and meshes so perfectly with Addy's. He's protective, honourable and loves his MC but suddenly he's faced with the little rich girl. However, is there more going on with Addy than meets they eye?

This book is well written and even made me tear up a time or two. All the characters are well developed and I look forward to Smoke's story.

How dirty are you willing to get in order to protect the one you love?
We got a taste of what was going one between Brew and Addy in Dirty Bastard, and now we get the whole story.
Brew and Addy have had different yet very similar problems in life and now finding each other, (albeit by kidnapping) they find freedom, love and family. With so many twists and turns, the connection they have keeps them strong.

I highly recommend this book to everyone. Although be prepared, you might cry, laugh and get angry while reading.

Emily and Shelley have done a fantastic job yet again in showing us a different side to an MC romance and I couldn't be happier to have read it. Can't wait for the next few parts of this series!

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

WOW!!! I loved Dirty Bastard and could not wait for this book to come out! I couldn't put this book down. I knew I would enjoy this story, but I have to say it's my favorite of the two!!!!!! Emily and Shelley have knocked this one out of the park!!!! We were introduced to Brew and Addy in Dirty Bastard. You could sense their chemistry then and it continues in this book. There were so many emotions I felt reading this. Happy, heartbreak, and anger are just a few of the emotions brought out! I can't wait to see what you two do next!!!! I will definitely recommend this book to read!

I won an Arc copy from a competition and I was absolutely stoked. This is the first book I have read in the Grim Bastards series and I loved it, even the parts where water dripped from my eyes. There are some real tough bits in the book but also parts that are so very sweet. Sssssh I know sweet and MC doesn't mix but well there were parts exactly like that. Brew is tough and hardened from life and Addy, well she's feisty but damaged, these two are a perfect match made in um biker heaven. Of course now I will have to get my greedy mits on more of those Grim Bastards books because hot damn I need my fix. This was one hell of great read.

I was so excited when this hit my kindle, I couldn't wait to read Brew's story. This one took a turn I did not see coming. I loved every word of this book. Brew was hot, sweet and downright filthy, I just loved him. Addy went through so much, I just wanted to reach in and give her a hug, she was also stronger than she gave herself credit for. Those two together were sweet and sexy. I loved this book and I absolutely can not wait for the next book.

ARC copy provided for honest review.
I started reading and couldn't put it down. I loved the first book and couldn't wait to sink into this one.
Filthy Bastard exceeded my expectations for a sequel book.
There is a dark nature of this novel so some caution to be taken when reading but there were some laughs, alot of tears and a crap load of anger.
It was an amazing read and cannot wait to see what comes next!!!

ARC received in exchange for honest review**
LOVE Brew and Addy! Addy's story is heartbreaking. I just wanted to cry for her the whole time! But at the same time I love how strong she is through it all. And Brew his history isn't much better. The two of them were meant for each other. I love how he calms her and loves her unconditionally. Their story is sad but beautiful. Loved it and really hope there is more of these boys to come!!

I botched this one as I read it first. I hate it if I read a series out of order. That aside, not know what is considered a spoiler because of this dreadful situation let just say the I really, really liked it and move along. I can't wait for the next book in the series. However, for now I think I'll go in search for the first in the series.

With a vindictive mother and an obsessed brother-in-law, all Adyson Sloan wants is a little freedom--for her and her sister. She dreams of having a little room to breathe and making her own choices. But when she's kidnapped by the Grim Bastards MC, freedom comes at a much higher price. Terrified, but determined to get back to her sister, Addy's plans are ruined when she falls for a bastard with a chip on his shoulder.
He's a bastard without a heart.
Sergeant at Arms Brew Decker plays by his own rules. To him, nothing is sacred but the brotherhood. He lives and dies by the club and would do anything for them--even kidnap an innocent woman. After all, she's merely a pawn in the bigger game. But everything changes when he meets Addy. Suddenly, he'd do anything for his captive.
Can love between a rich girl and a bastard survive without someone losing it all?

Review:
This is the second book of this series. I did not read the first book, but it seem like although the books were written as standalone novels, they are set in the same time frame. I had no problem following the story with just reading the second book. Filthy Bastard is a dark book with explicit violence, rape and cruelty. I did enjoy this book, but I like dark stories especially the ones with happy endings. The plot of this story is about two sisters. They are both being used as pawns by their parents. Adyson Sloan will do just about anything to keep her sister safe, including putting up with a weekly rape by her brother-in-law. When she gets caught up in the kidnapping of her best friend by the Grim Bastards MC, she finds her first safe place. The arms of the Sergeant at Arms, Brew Decker. When she is released, she is forced back to the life of terror at her brother-in-law’s hands. That is until the Grim Bastards get involved. There is hot, chemistry between Addie and Brew. This book is pretty faced paced with lots of drama. I loved the ending even though I needed a tissue or two. I loved how these characters were portrayed.
