Andrea Murray’s love of English didn’t begin until high school. In fact, in elementary school, she hated reading and never read a book unless she was forced to read. She found her joy as a ninth grader when she began reading classic short stories like “The Most Dangerous Game” and “The Cask of Amontillado”. After that, she knew she wanted to study English and teach kids like her who weren’t entirely thrilled with English.

She graduated valedictorian of her high school class in the same little town where she still lives and earned a BSE in English and an MA in English from Arkansas State University, where she also earned honors as the Outstanding BSE graduate in English. Andrea has now been teaching English for twenty years. She’s taught journalism, freshmen composition, every level of junior high and high school English, and Pre-AP and AP literature. Andrea is also a two-time teacher of the year.

She lives in Arkansas with Chris, her high school sweetheart and husband of twenty-two years; their two children, Olivia and Wyatt; and their rambunctious German Shepherd, Claus, in a possibly haunted house. She co-coaches her daughter’s two-time state champion Odyssey of the Mind team when she isn’t chauffeuring her son to Cub Scouts. She loves Victorian British literature focused on that when earning her MA. Her first true love is historical romance. She can remember sneaking my mother's trashy romance novels when she was a young teenager and reading while mother was grocery shopping. Her favorites were always the Medieval and pirate stories, but she also loves young adult literature and just about anything paranormal. She’s a proud Mensan and is addicted to television. When she isn’t watching bad science fiction movies, she spends her time reading.

In addition to her young adult paranormal romance series The Vivid Trilogy, she has written The Omni Duology, a young-adult dystopian duo.

****IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE FIRST TWO BOOKS IN THIS SERIES STOP NOW - SPOILERS INHERENT IN REVIEW****

Now that Vivian, Wyck, and the gang have escaped from the Liaisons prison they are on the road and running to put some space between themselves and Hoyt.

There are a few minor scares and some projected messages that Hoyt sends courtesy of Lilah as they run. But before that they can find Vivian's dad, they are helping Wyck find his mother as promised.

Only when they get to the address he pulled out of the Liaison's computer banks, it is not what they'd hoped for. To make things worse, Griffin shows up, and accidentally let's it slip that he'd actually seen their mother at the facility several months ago. Wyck loses it between knowing that Griffin was aware that the Liaison had killed their father & he was OK with it and what he'd just learned about Griffin & their mom. He snaps and begins to beat Griffin to death. At this point chaos explodes in the form of the fire-starter Zeb (the one Hoyt forced Vivian to 'rescue' from a facility he was being held in under suspicion of burning his house down, while his whole family was still in it), and Ferguson, the sadistic soldier who has to wear an eye-patch to prevent his ability from triggering, as he has no need to cause earthquakes by simply looking at the ground. Luckily Wyck hears Vivian ask him to stop time so they can all escape, and much to his surprise it works.

From there the group takes off, driving aimlessly until Vivian finally sees where they are going in a dream/vision. It was a map, and at the end they all hope to find Vivian's dad, Harrison. The family reunion is more than expected and much family drama ensues before the final showdown takes place.

Story is neatly ended, with all the loose ends mostly resolved. Though there are enough loose ends remaining that the story could easily be revived. So who knows, maybe we will be treated to a fourth book, though if we are it is my hope that Vivian will mature a bit more.

I admire how each book in this trilogy is different from each other. They vary in settings, events and in what feelings story creates. This one felt a little bit slow in the beginning after the constant tension and action in the second book. These were in third book too, but in here there was not that much of immediate danger, it was more lingering somewhere near all the time. And you don‘t know when, where and how it would strike. This creates a different kind of tension. I needed some time to get accustomed to it, but I liked it nonetheless. There was sense of hurry and uncertainty. There were sweet and sad moments. Many answers were given. And this book had it‘s own surprises.

Oh, by the way, there was also a slight difference in the way the story was told. That was different from the second book too. In here the addition brings more mystery and arised a question about whom it is. I loved it. It gave a new view to the story and some insight into one of the characters.

Speaking of the characters there‘s also something I want to say. I love it how Vivian is showed to be a person with her own strengths and weaknesses. She seems real and believable, and I just easily found it interesting to watch her trying to deal with her temper and weaknesses. And also I noticed Easton now was showed not only perfect and full of good qualities but also having his own weak spots (when I think of it better he was showed like this in the second book too, but I noticed this only now). I liked him before, but now I like him even more.

This book was as easy to read and enjoyable as the other ones in the trilogy. I eagerly turned pages and was excited to reach the last sentence and to know how this story ends. Though I feel a little bit sad it‘s already over.

I enjoyed the final book in this series. It brought everything to a close and it ended the way that it should have. I would like to see another book to see what happens after everything was ended and how their life has progressed

Vengeance by Andrea Murray is an excellent wrap up of a thrilling trilogy.

Vivian, Abby, Easton, Cooper, and Wyck are on the run from Hoyt and the Liaisons.

After having been prisoners and enduring rough treatment and even having to compromise their principles they have escaped and are determined to stay free.

The road ahead is long and there are a lot of revelations that they will all have to face before they reach the conclusion.

This is an excellent and riveting conclusion to this series of books and I hope that Andrea intends on continuing to display her talent as a writer because there's lots of story left in her universe.

Anyone who likes Science Fiction and the Fantastic should read this. There's plenty of adventure and romance and soul searching for a lot of the other genre readers to enjoy.

My Rating: 3 out of 5 stars.

Disclaimers: I received an e-galley of this novel as part of the tour. I was not obligated to write a good review nor did I receive any compensation for writing this review.

My Overall Thoughts/Impressions:
This series was an interesting one to read. I thought the first one had a lot of potential but failed to execute. The second one was actually quite good. I actually considered giving it 4 stars. The action was great and I loved the interactions of the characters.

Basically after reading book 1, I went into book 2 expecting it to be quite average, maybe even below average. It actually greatly exceeded my expectations. So I went into book 3 with high expectations.

Instead, I felt a little let-down. The bar was set high by book 2. I was really excited to see the conclusion of the series. I found the ending to be a little bit anti-climatic. I was expecting more of a finale.

Vivian's character didn't really change enough in the series for me. My favorite character actually ended up being Wyck. He was the one who made the book for me. I think that's why I loved book 2. It's all about him.

There was just so much going on in this book.

Having said that, I did enjoy the book. Like I've previously mentioned Murray did a great job at creating an interesting and engaging world.

So why 3 stars? It was a let-down from book 2. Book 2 was so good and book 3 didn't quite live up to it.

Can I read the series out of order? You can. Andrea does a good enough job telling the backstory, but naturally, it's better to read them all. Plus, book 2 is so good I'd recommend reading it before reading this one.

Warnings/Side-notes: Very vague references to sex. It's definitely appropriate for readers of all ages.

The Wrap-up: This book brings the end to an interesting series. I think Murray has great potential as a writer. Her second book was so close to being right on the mark. I'll be keeping an eye on this author in the hopes that in her next book, she nails it right on the head.

I really enjoyed this final book of this series. I really wished I had read the first book but nevertheless, this final book is a keeper. This book provides the background information you need to set the stage so it can be read without reading the other books but you should probably read the other books in the series as you don’t want to miss any of the adventure these friends get into it.
Wyck wants to be united with his mom, so this is the first mission these four friends decide to attend to before tracking down Vivian’s father. What Wyck finds is not quite the answer he was searching for but it does tie up loose ends for him and this discovery has the group meeting up with the individuals from the Liaison group who they just can’t escape from. It’s never a friendly meeting when these two sides square off against each other, as both sides are equipped with individuals with special powers: one side evil and the other side good. On the way to find her father, Vivian goes through a whirlwind of emotions. There are so many unanswered questions which she hopes to have answered by her father yet as she finds herself at her father’s door, she must learn to control her powers.
What a remarkable, fast-paced way to end a series. I enjoyed the bond that these four friends had and the suspense the Liaison group provided what a great combination. Their commitment to each other, their spunky attitude and lively adventures made this book thrive. The Liaison group never gave up, they were determined to have Vivian on their team and this added another exciting element to the book. A terrific read, one you definitely can’t put down.

"Vengeance" is the perfect ending to the Vivid trilogy. Vivian and the gang are once again on the move as she moves forward to try to reunite Wyck with his mother. Unfortunately, the outcome is not what they had hoped. Additionally, once they arrive at the location they are met by Wyck's brother, Ferguson, Zeb and Lilah. As they manage to escape once more, they return to the motel where Vivian called home. She discovers that someone she believed was dead is still alive (I will not say who). This person also gives Vivian a cryptic answer to where she might find her father.

The gang is on the road again looking for Vivian's father. As they get closer, she finds it harder to deal with her feelings towards him. Once she finds him, she is in for a surprise of her life ( Once again, I will not spoil it for you). Soon, she discovers more than she ever hoped to and she feels as though she is on an emotional roller coaster. Vivian learns more about her ancestry and her strange attachment to Easton. Just as everyone is getting to know each other better, they receive a visit from Wyck's brother who tries to warn them of the dangers ahead.

Soon, the group of misfits are under attack by Hoyt and his evil minions. This will be the ultimate battle and many will not survive. I enjoyed the action in this books as well as the revelations of mysteries that have been plaguing me since the beginning of the series. However, I did not enjoy the flashbacks of Hoyt and Harrison's characters. It broke the flow of the read for me. Overall, this is a really good series and will keep you quite entertained.

After everything shes gone through Vivians journey is far from over. She has finally begun to understand who she is and know she knows where she came from, and is determined to find the father who was never there for her.

After their escape from the facility in the mountains they all need to figure out what to do next and finding Wycks mother is the first order of business. And afterwards hopefully Vivian has enough memories from Hoyt to figure out where her father is.

But as long as Hoyt is out there he will always be after them. A battle is coming who will come out the other side?

Vivian has allot on her plate. She keeps getting more and more information thrown at her and its thrown her through a loop. She has her share of temper tantrums in this one, but throughout you still see her desire to try and protect her friends. She gone through so much to learn who she is and its all coming together for her even if there are some bumps along the way. And fights? Well every teenager has their share of tantrums and there is more than one in this group making things extra interesting at times ;)

This is the culminiation of the trilogy. It all comes together in this one and we finally get to see how it ends. Surprises and all this is a series that kept you guessing and I loved seeing how it all ended!

Vengeance is book 3 in the series and having the privilege of reading all three books back to back given me the opportunity to truly enjoy all three books! Vengeance is more advanced by far than the two previous books and shows you really how far each character has grown and changes since the beginning of the series.
Vengeance and the books that preclude it Vicious and Vivid are all books of Elemental’s coming into their power and having to defend themselves while learning how to truly control their powers.
Secrets and Lies are uncovered more throughout this book and then of the previous past, lies that force change on each one of them are affected and changed with each secret and lie that comes to surface.
Out of the three books I loved this one the most, I really felt the characters had grown up as well as had learned to overcome many of their differences in this story. It truly felt like a coming of age story.

Vengeance and Andrea Murray’s Trilogy is a fantastic read that you will not want to put down!
