It was the chance of a lifetime for the band, touring with Prince, and a friend of a friend had a decked out tour bus they could use.  Things couldn't be better - except for the body in the bus.  A very clean body.

Don Trask, Lead Agent for the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, finds it odd that someone would go to the trouble to bleach a body.  It was strange.  And things were about to become even more strange when additional bodies in Minneapolis and along the north shore of Lake Superior begin to appear.  All very clean.

Don and his twin brother Dave, Sheriff of Lake County Minnesota, must now quickly stop the murderer before word gets out that a serial killer may be roaming the state - and another body is bleached.

Readers of John Sanford, Jeffrey Deaver, Michael Connelly, William Kent Krueger and like authors will enjoy this fast-paced thriller.  Scroll up to order now.

Chuck (C.E.) Nelson is an avid angler and author of three highly rated murder mystery series.

The Trask Brothers Murder Mystery Series follows the exploits of Dave and Don Trask, identical twin brothers in law enforcement, as they chase down killers across Minnesota and beyond. Like the author, the brothers love to fish, and you'll usually find a few fishing tidbits in each book.

The Edge of Winter and Kill Six comprise the Danny Carlisle mystery series to date. Carlisle has appeared in Trask Brother's books and is a headstrong independent agent from Duluth, Minnesota, likely to get herself in more than a little bit of trouble.

Peter 'Doc' Hunter is the protagonist in Angry Sins. Doc is a BCA agent who is working on becoming a professional golfer when his day job doesn't get in the way. Doc is a good golfer - the author, not so much.

Nelson resides in Minnesota and has a cabin in Canada where he feeds his angling needs and ponders his next story.

Maybe a 3 and 1/2 star book but there are so many really good books out there that I just couldn’t round up to a 4 star rating. There were some errors that could use a bit of editing. I can overlook that, but one sentence I came across, I couldn’t even make sense of what was being said. The story was entertaining enough that I will try the next in the series and see where it takes the Trask brothers.

Great police thriller

This book kept you on your toes until the end. Lots of twist turns. Loved the way the two brothers played off each other. Would definitely read more of the Track brothers adventure.

Good series

I'm getting ready to start the 3rd in the series. So far, they are very entertaining. I love the relationship between the brothers.

Clean Kill -

Ehhh. Not great. Not terrible. This was an OK read. It seemed like the book just never really found its way. Or, maybe I just never found the rhythm of the book.

3⭐️/ 0 🌶️-Quick listen! Great twist at the end… did not see that coming. I enjoyed the plot and the characters, only wish it was read by narrators and not a computer. Had to listen at 1.8 speed

Really enjoyed this book in spite of a few misspelled words. The twin brothers, both in law enforcement, each have their own way of doing things but always have each other's back. Their banter is fun and typical between brothers. The story moves along well, alot of suspects, with a real twist at the end. I'd like to read more about these brothers. It was a very entertaining story with murder, drugs and revenge.

I don't know that I can say I "finished" the book....but I finished as much as I could. Three chapters was all I could tolerate. Horrible writing, too much crap in the book that means nothing, jumping back and forth and all over the place with no segue between jumps. I would definitely NOT read anything else from this author. NOT, NOT, NOT.

You may like his style of writing and that's OK, but it's not for me.

I read these out of order, picking up the second in the series first - I found that one to be not bad. But I didn't get far with this one, as both brothers use physical violence as a matter of course to get intention from unresisting suspects. Not something I'm interested in reading more of, so I'm done with this author.

it’s what happen’s when you take on being Judge and Jury..

Loved the tangled mess of those who relied on drugs for their life’s work. Someone always gets hurt. The story went round and round, just short of the significant clue… Great read and equal justice in the end. The twins barbs were a bit of comic relief in a very tangled web.

Like the Trask brothers

I like the Track brothers but the author often refers to one of the other as just "Trask" and if I'm not in full on concentration mode it gets a little confusing. Great story though. Definitely recommend!

This is actually the second book in the Trask brothers series. I found the first book to be much more suspenseful, but not to say that I didn’t enjoy this story. It was an easy and enjoyable read. The writing style could be more developed, but I could still enjoy the story.

Book two in series. I didn't like this one any where as near as much as the first one. Having dual protagonists who are also identical twins didn't work for this plot. Hopefully next book in series will rebound.

If you like gory mysteries (which I do) this is a good series involving Identical Twin lawmen that get the guy every time even with all the plot twists.

Great whodunit that had me completely baffled until the very end. Wonderful characters and imaginative about and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Pretty good

A bit disjointed at first, but eventually it comes together. Yes, there is a Butler, but did he do it?

This was the second book I read by C.E. Nelson. I really enjoyed Blood Kill so I was anxious to read this one but for me it just wasn't as good. It had a lot of twists and turns but it really didn't tweak my interest. Bodies found all cleaned with bleach and dressed in new clean clothes. Both brothers working on the case again.
