This is exactly the kind of erotic story we need more of in lesfic because it shows that explicit consent is not only possible, but can be sexy. I also love that it shows a couple who have been together for a decade, but are still as sexually interested and engaged as ever.

Erm... not what I expected, like at all. I get everyone is entitled to like what they like.
I read this with wide eyed shock the whole way through, I actually felt uncomfortable reading it.. Trying not to judge here but this just really wasn't for me.

I usually love Meghan O'Brien stories, and having read most of her others, I'm aware that she likes to write detailed sex scenes. Being a short story though that's pretty much all this is and I just couldn't get into it. I give points for writing about consent and out of the norm sex, and I've enjoyed other stories with BDSM elements, but for whatever reason, this one didn't appeal.

The Chasing Game is hot, steamy and fun. It contains mild BDSM and some amusing roleplay, and carries a warning to that affect – so don’t read and be offended.

If you like something a bit different from a standard erotic short, this is an excellent addition to your bookshelves. Ms O’Brien plays with a role reversal that is interesting and very well thought through - certainly caught my imagination.

It’s more than just pure erotica through, the couples love and care for each other is evident throughout and portrayed with the ease of an accomplished writer. The dom/sub relationship is strong and the respect is clear.

This was my first Mehgan O’Brien and it definitely wont be my last – in fact I had to resist going right off on a tangent and buying the lot.

This was a really short story that dealt with BDSM in terms of role-playing. I thought it was objectively good, but I based my rating subjectively. I wish a few things were done differently and thought the plot was not as flushed out as I wanted it to be. O’Brien is still the queen of lesbian erotica for sure.

Almost couldn't read it

I like to think I'm pretty open minded, but as the characters stated "everyone has their limits". Consent is a very important part of any intimate affair. These are two consenting adults. My problem is role-playing as though there is a lack of consent, and allowing it to be taken to an extreme level... not my cup of tea. Nothing about rape is sexy to me, not even if it's "fake" rape.

The only thing that saved it was that the roles reversed, and it settled more into BDSM where the lines of consent, to me, are clearly drawn.

I did enjoy the relationship and trust that they had. Some of this may not be for me, but that doesn't mean that others wont enjoy it, so I recommend giving it a try. Meghan O'Brien rarely lets you down.

Meghan O’Brien is probably one of my favorite authors, and I cannot believe I hadn’t reviewed one of her books sooner. The short story starts off with the two leads checking in before their latest play session, as the title suggests, it's a chasing game. 😘

The spicy scenes are layered and at times sensual. My favorite thing about this author is that she never shies away from the feels.

As always, O'Brien's sex scenes are well written. I just find that I prefer my erotica with at least a minimum of plot. If not, it's hot, steamy but kinda pointless and less enjoyable for me.
