Diary of a Good Enough Mother

Rate this book
Rob has the enviable position of Regional Sales Director for a carpet distribution warehouse, who spends his days striving for career perfection and any opportunity to watch sport. Saskia, on the other hand, just tries to get through the days without screaming. Being a full time mum to three children Saskia faces a daily juggling challenge as to tries to instil a childhood utopian dream of picnics in the woods and climbing trees; when realistically they would rather spend their time attached to an ipad. Dylan, eleven years old, who has little comprehension of the world, or indeed where his shoes are most of the time, bumbles through life. In contrast there is Maisie, seven years old, smart and cheeky, always ready with a quick comeback; and Cassia, the baby, thoroughly independent and pretty much raising herself.
Diary of a Good Enough Mother is an account of the trials that Saskia faces. Filled with humour and a wry insight into how we all wish we could be better parents, but sometimes being good enough is the best we can hope for!
