The story of Luc and Marie continues in the sequel to DRAWING LESSONS …
Marie and Luc have left Washington, DC—and the political machinations of Marie’s ex-husband—behind for the passion and pleasures of Paris. But trouble lurks in paradise. When a newly-pregnant Marie returns from a girls’ weekend in London with her best friend, her life changes overnight. Luc is gone and no one knows where he went.
After her daughter, Olivia, is born, Marie does what single mothers do. She pulls her life together for her daughter and starts over. New city. New job. New friends. It’s not exciting but Marie is done with exciting. Done with passion, with chemistry, with love. All she wants is to be a good mother. All she wants is a normal life with no surprises.
Then the biggest surprise of all.
Luc returns.
Can Marie ever trust him with her heart again? Can Luc ever trust his own?
Julia Gabriel writes contemporary romance that is smart, sexy, and emotionally-intense (grab the tissues). She lives in New England where she is a full-time mom to a teenager, as well as a sometime writing professor and obsessive quilter (is there any other kind?). If all goes well, she’ll be a Parisienne in her next life.
Well, fellow readers - all’s well that ends well is what they say, but I wasn’t 100% sure that this was going to end well. Until it did! Luc and Marie found their way back to each other, and that is how I like my romance books to end!! There were quite a few bumps and scrapes along the way, but true love won out at last! I very much enjoyed reading this book series by Julia Gabriel. My only issue with Book 2 is that it was very platonic. I read Erotic Romance for a reason. Overall, a really great storyline and well done. Thank you, Miss Julia for bringing Luc and Marie to life!
This author draws me in like no other! The characters of Marie and Luc are so real that I feel like I know them. It focuses on not being perfect in order to fall in love. I couldn’t put either book down. Now I am on to my next Julia Gabriel book!
