I was really surprised that I enjoyed reading the Kindle version of this - usually I don't like Kindles as much, especially after I've read a print copy of another book in the same series. I did like the Kindle version of this, though. The color pictures were great (I may be remembering wrong, but I think the pictures in my copy of Diary of a Zombie Villager #1 were all in black and white), and the story was great for teaching little things like how stereotyping can be hurtful. This book wasn't quite as exciting as the Zombie Villager one I read, which isn't a problem for me, but I was a little disappointed that it ended so abruptly, when I was really starting to get into it.
I would definitely read more books from this author, and I would like to emphasize that the author is great at interacting with readers, and being the one to start conversations.

She keeps him after class to tell him, he is a very good writer and he should write a weekly column in the school newspaper. So does Z decide to write for the school newspaper? Does Steve AND Herobrine help Z get back at school bullies with an awesome prank? YOU'LL HAVE TO READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT! It's such a great little book that it will keep your child entertained and want to keep reading till the end. It has a great anti-bullying feel to it and encourages a child to be themselves.

I like this book, and so did my 10 year old. It reminded me of the self-doubt, self-conscious angst that all pre-adolescents and tweens go through. The book was funny, and my son could identify with it as well. Even though it was about a 7th grade zombie, he was endowed with the same feelings and troubles all kids that age go through. We did not want it to end, we wanted to know what happens next. Does he win the writing contest? Does his brother stop being such a bully? Does his parents finally accept his human friend Steve? Guess we have to wait for the next one to find out. I received a free copy of book in exchange for honest opinion. Well worth the time spent reading.

I got this one for my (nearly) 10 year old and he was hooked from page 1 and finished it off in one night (he doesn't go to sleep early). As soon as he finished it he asked for book 2 (and is currently tucked in his bed reading the second book now). I asked for his feedback and the following review is in his words:
"I give the book 4.5 stars. I like that it was a diary. I felt like Z was talking to me. I liked that the humans talked to the zombies, normally humans are scared of zombies. I liked that Steve saved Z. I can't say any more it was too good".

This small book had a lot of charm to it, that made me smile. What if Zombies in Minecraft weren't bad and what if they could friend humans. Z and Steve will make the best of friends in the future I know it and that prank made in laugh. This book is a lot like Diary of a wimpy kid but I totally love it anyways since I'm a fan of Minecraft and played it for years and watched a bunch of youtubers play it over the years. So yup... good book, good job! Now off to read the story about Alex next! See ya!

My six year old has enjoyed this book multiple times! She just can't get enough this fun, well thought out story. This book is perfect for the Minecraft lover in the family! Entertainment for the elementary school level. I will have to get her more of the books!

Oh my...

I really really liked this book. It's easy to read but with each word I imagine every moment perfectly.
Obviously I like minecraft, so I love reading a story about it.

A very creative and engaging fun book for young children to read. I thoroughly enjoyed the relationship between the two brothers. I could definitely relate to the trials and tribulations of sibling issues. It's a story that teaches good moral values and how to be a friend. Something we need more of in this day and age.
