I have no idea why I read this. The first one was such a disaster, I must need mental help because I came back for more. All the issues I had with book one just intensified in book two. Liam is controlling as ever, and Emery is as weak as ever. What's the deal? I might be able to handle Liam's mood swings if I had a little bit of an idea of why. But of course, still no questions have been answered. Novellas are seriously, truly ruining books for me. Why release something that's only 146 pages long? Just wait and condense the series into two or three good sized books. Not 80 million novellas. Good God, people. I will not be reading anymore books in this series because, 1) the characters are heinous, and 2)who the hell has the time or desire to wait for each individual installment to be released?
Authors, please stop releasing novellas and just stick to writing a good 'ole hearty novel. It might be nice for a change, yeah?

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. In the span of 24 hours, Emery has had two major events occur in her life. She is learning about the softer, caring side of Liam but also experiencing his cold, firm sides as well. Liam seems to be involved in some potentially heavy stuff. Emery is fighting an intense internal battle regarding this whole situation.

Really disappointed in this book, this author.
1. The beginning was enticing enough to get me through a few chapters but I began to worry about the lack of ANY character development. None.
2. Sex scene started immediately with no foreplay. I dare say a one night stand normally has more.
3. The end of book one comes so abruptly that I thought it was a sample. So I continue to book two because it is on kindle unlimited and I hoped that the shortcomings in the first book would be resolved. Sadly, no. There was one carrot of a plot but was quickly forgotten as the author skipped past the necessary foreplay again and skipped to the possibility of good sex and a disappointing cliffhanger.
The next book can go hang. The author should scrap this and start over. It could be more with just a little more effort.

Wow what a cliffhanger and the suspense continues! Hannah did it again with this book in making you want more. This book is intoxicating. The sex is hot and steamy…awe-inspiring. Although Emery was kidnapped by Liam, she is trying hard not to be attracted to him when she sees that he possesses a gentle side that he tries not to show. There are some twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. This book will pique your interest. If you have read any of Hannah’s books before, you will enjoy this book as well. I cannot wait to read what will happen from the cliffhanger in the next book.

Book 2 in this delicious new series, starts off with a bang. Emery's emotions are all over the place when it comes to Liam. She can't decide to fight or flight. She holds her tongue around new people and can't say I blame. He is one scary Alpha. I don't think we've seen the worst of him yet and he's hiding something big.

I'm pretty tired of this new trend of 4 chapters and it's considered a book. I like the story, but if I didn't belong to KU I wouldn't continue with this series or with reading other authors that do the same thing.

Is this man worth saving, can Emery save him from himself? He functions as a business genius, but his almost nonexistent personal life is a twisted perverted mess.
Is there a future for them together beyond the week that was agreed to?

Wow what a cliffhanger and the suspense continues! Hannah did it again with this book in making you want more. More drama continues in book two with this twisted, steamy and disturbing dark romance with gripping details, deep and troubled characters and page turning suspense. Liam, the arrogant, egotistical, overconfident, piously virtuous, and who normally gets what he wants—alpha alpha male—does not let Emery go anywhere without knowing where she is at all times—as he says, he has to keep her safe. These adjectives and adverb gives you a good assessment of Liam, but you may have your own description. Emery is so sweet, sometimes naïve, but she loves Liam. She feels she can fix him, but can she really? Emery always finds a way to push Liam to his limits, thus defying him, and then he punishes her. What’s intriguing is Liam sometimes shows that he really loves/cares about Emery, but other times, he into his dark mood where he needs to punish Emery. What demons or black hole does Liam have lurking inside of him that causes his need for control? Cannot give too much away, so read it and see what happens. There is lots of sex in here—the sex is off-the-charts hot! You will revel with delight in this raucous, raunchy love story with an erotic flare for the sensuous adult in you. Okay wow
Talk about a damn cliff hanger the booms are way to short, by the time I get really really into it it's over and on to the next book which it says 3 books in series and yet there is more to come I just also got done with book 3 and wow is all I can say. I'm enjoying Emery and Liam books I really am but waiting for the next books are killing me for sure I almost want to stop reading them all together. They are both pretty fucked up I will say. But she is at least opening up to him all he is doing is telling her what she can and can't do and not being open with her. Which is pretty messed up in a relationship I would say. I think she needs to safe word on him and leave and he can deal with his ex I think. Idk at the end of the 3rd book I wanted to cry which ain't like me I read alot. But I'm left hanging once again I want to know more about Liam and his ex Vienna and I want to know more about that Robbie guy that was rough with Emery. I also want to know how Liam really feels for her if he loves her like she does him. I know she will not leave him she will stay that's how all books go regardless how they are treated they love them and how they make them feel even if it's abuse. I would also love more chapters on his point of view also then just the beginning of the book I understand that it's from her point of view but a couple more chapters of his view would be great because just one I feel like I'm left hanging or Ms. Ford could write his point of view books also just a idea there. Liam is by far my favorite dark, sexy alpha billionaire. His masculinity is raw and primal and comes across in everything that he does. Emery is so caught up in Liam that even when she knows she should put as much distance between them as she can she just can't seem to do it. Up until now Emery has had no experience, so when Liam takes her virginity she can't believe how he made her feel. The memory of the way he took her that first time will never compare to any other man; but will Liam's needs be more than she can handle. Emery is torn between being a good girl and admitting that she likes Liam's dark side. But as much as she tries to deny it, her body gives her away and Liam enjoys every minute of it...in more ways than one. Liam & Emery both have secrets so it will be interesting to see how things will unfold. Add the mystery to their scorching hot chemistry and it makes for a heart pounding read! Liam was so controlling. Emery let him see her side and she was attending her class. She met up with Maddie and Maddie snapped a picture of them and posted it. The picture had their location. Liam got the notification and looked at the picture. He was in a meeting and saw the picture. He got upset and left. His employees were used to his heavy handness. Liam is into things and Is turning Emery on to the things he needs and likes. She wants to understand him. Liam wanted to punish her for putting her safety in jeopardy and wanted to punish her. He was showing her his room in the basement. This room was for his pleasure and her torture. I know she was staying a week but damn. The title fits his property is right. He really fell for her. Yes he has dated models, socialites but he really wants her. Liam was taken Emery to his family’s party on the way to California he gets a call and they divert the plane to Vegas. Who is in a black jack private party none other than Emery’s father

In a completely guilty pleasure, over the top un-PC way this story is highly entertaining and delicious. I liked that the hero didn't turn into a milksop after abducting the heroine and using her to pay off her father's debt. There is darkness and mild dub-con, non-con content but it's well done. I need the third part .... like NOW. I hate reading stories with cliffhangers. Usually, I always wait until all books are published. B-
PS: The only thing that really bugged me was the sex without protection. One does not play with a child's life like that. I hate insta-impregnation stuff. (though the heroine is not pregnant by the end of part two).

Good but
Hannah Ford is a really good story teller. The stories are well written ,interesting plot and kept me drawn into the story. That said the formats she has chosen is irritating as he'll to me. They are a bunch of short stories that end in a cliff hanger. The first story ended and you have to wait for her next release to progress. The other three are a series but once again you have to hunt the 4th book. Once I finished this book , even though her novellas are really good I won't be chasing after the next installment

FREAKEN AMAZING!!!!
HANNAH FORD HAS DONE it again!!!! Another great hit on her hands. I was on pins and needles reading this book. It's Sizzling Hot and Sexy. One you can't get enough of. I can't wait to read book 3, to find out what happens at with her Dad in the poker game. To find out what happens when they go to his parents home. UGGGHH the waiting game is going to kill me!!! LOL!!

As long as I've waited for this I'm so excited for book 3!!!
I can't tell you how many books of Hannah's I've read. This one seems to be sticking with me the most. I mean I feel like I can relate to Emery and her body issues. I just wish I found a Liam!!! LOL i love Hannah's writing and another solidly written part to the story that leaves you breathless in some spots but definitey craving the next part!!!

All around bad
I wanted to like these books. But I just can't get into it. The plot is spotty, and the characters are horrible. The lead female is week, no real development, and for someone who is pre-med she is just beyond stupid.
as a woman into bdsm, this just makes me mad. This is not a bdsm romance, this is an abuse wannabe romance.
Save your time. Take a pass.

When I first read book one I was glued to it and when I heard that you are bringing a second book I was excited and you didn't disappoint me. Absolutely love to book 2 and I can't wait for book 3 differently got something there, hope I won't have to www ait to long tho. If reads haven't read these books please do so. One More Book
I love Hannah Ford books but I don't like waiting to read the next installment of a book. I thought there was only gonna be two books and that was it. Now I find out there are more.
I do enjoy the story between Emery and Liam. I like that she wants to submit but has the defiant streak in her.
I seriously can't wait for the next book.

Emery and Liam's story picks up right where it ended in Book 1, the writing is good and the sex is incredibly HOT as I've come to expect from Hannah Ford. My only issue is the length of the book and the cliffhanger's. Hoping book 3 will be out soon and will be the conclusion to the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Too short
I'm a little confused. According to the author, this is a republish. Was it hers? Another author? Where's the original? I'd be interested to read that next to the republish. Overall loved the story. Some of the speaking was getting a little repetitive and honestly I wanted to hit the characters a few times for being so stubborn. Can't wait for the third book.

Book 2 picked up roughly where book 1 ended. Book 2 delves a bit more into Liam's and Emery's past but not too much since there is plenty of secrets still being hidden. This book mainly takes place around them getting ready and traveling to his parents place. Last minute change of plans and more secrets make for a fantastic ending. Cannot wait for book 3 and I hope it's not too long.

I could not wait for this book to be ready. I love how our hero is evolving, he is showing his emotions a bit more. Our heroine is very strong willed and is pushing him while he pushes her limits!!! I cannot wait for the next book

Wow. Liam just keeps getting darker and Emery just keeps falling further down this dark hole. Not sure I like how vicious Liam punishes Emery but she seems to like it. Another cliff hanger too, thought only going to be 2 books but guess there is more. Long wait time between stories.

I want to read the series now. I m confused and want to find out what is going on. I loved the story of Callum and want to find out what has made him this way. Why he only does one night but can't leave her alone. Why he keeps coming back and pushing baway.

ok in summary , this was like fifty shades of grey but with better writing
The only reason i gave it one star because i like original stories , thus Fifty shades won no doubt
