**** 4.5 "Payback" Stars ****

 photo WOWWWWW_zpsg4vpxvqa.gif

This book and this Fatal Hearts Series is seriously REALLY good. I never had a doubt as Miss Dori Lavelle writes really good, intense stories. The characters are easily likeable/hateable and the story flows perfectly over the three books.

Book 3 is the finale as Chloe continues her fight to survive with the help from an unlikely person she never thought felt the way he did.

The ending....nothing I have read before about this kind of twist. I was shocked and LOVED every minute of the END!

The reason for my 4.5 stars was due to I got a tad bit bored with the escape. It was a little drawn out in my eyes but still well written.

Another overall amazing 3 book series for Lavelle!!

Not quite sure how to rate this book.

I disliked the first book in the series, I loved the second one and I’m not sure about the third and last one.

It started out amazing, with so much action I was turning pages like a lunatic because I wanted to know how this story would play out.

But some parts just ruined the complete story for me when this could have been one of the best books I’ve ever read. I lost my interest a little when the author wasn’t being realistic. It made me skeptical.

But the ending made up for it once again. I loved how the story played out. I think it was the perfect ending to this series.

Going to give my rate based one the complete series and not just this book. I was going back and forth between 3,5 – 4 stars. But because I did like the story, I’m going to go with 4 stars.

Man! What a fabulous conclusion to a fabulous series!!

As noted in previous releases in this series, Alvin truly despised Chloe! In this climatic installment, Alvin proved she could run but not hide! Chloe is not alone, however! In this installment Chloe will come to learn she's known her soulmate all along. Their journey to arrive at their HEA is a dark and dangerous one!

This story has some some very dark scenes and dark they must be to withstand the likes of Alvin the deranged! Dude is as nutty as a fruitcake! In spite of the terrible pain he inflicted on so many, there is something about him that inspires sympathy. The Secrets series a great read!

Five stars!

Can Chloe survive?

This is the last installment of this series Dori did absolutely amazing job on this series. The narrator did excellent job as well. I highly recommend getting this in audio.

It was an okay read

I really hated that Miles ended up the way he did I was really hoping he could have gotten some help. However I'm glad he was able to save Chloe in the end. I still find it very strange her ending up with Owen of all people it made no sense for them to be together, but it's her story not mine. Anyways if it had not been free for KU subscribers I don't think I would have bothered but if you're a subscriber I would say check it out.

Book given for honest review.

The story picks up with Alvin/Miles chasing Chloe and Owen through the jungle of his island.
I first thought that Owen was going to turn out to be on team Alvin and the rescue was all part of Alvin's sick plan. I mean why would a guy who hates you want to rescue you?

Who will make it out alive? Well it's a given but there are a few twists in this story and as Chloe and Owen put distance between themselves and Alvin they seem to be getting closer but when Chloe reveals that Alvin may have given her HIV will he still want her? And after all her darkest secrets ate revealed will Chloe keep wanting to be centre of attention or will she just fade into the background?

Couldn't put this book down and I love the style and the road this author takes youTwo brothers go head to head winner takes all but it's not that simple. You see to get the King fortune they have to get a girl pregnant but also fall in love but only one can win. Lucas wants nothing to do with the family business and is the bad boy rocker. Richard is the goody two shoes who followed in his dads footsteps and has never been in love. But both men have their sights on winning but what will it cost them? Will Lucas get Molly or will Richard end up with Madison or does he want someone else?.

Great read was hooked from start to finish. Can't wait to read more books by this author.

Whew….what a ride. But finally, we are at the conclusion of the Fatal Hearts series. I must say, with each book I read of Dori Lavelle’s, the more I come to love and respect her writing. My introduction came with the sweet, but easily consumed Moments in Time Series. Approximately a dozen books later, we are presented with the Fatal Hearts Series. This series is certainly a big contrast to the first series I read….nothing sweet about this series! Totally intense!!!!!

In the final book of this series, the story comes full circle. We finally learn how Kelly (Chloe) and Alvin (Miles) knew each other and the story behind their association. It is a powerful story of betrayal and the consequences of such a betrayal. As we learn the backstory that led up to all of this, one cannot but shake one’s head for the foolish antics of teenagers and the consequences of such actions.

We begin with Chloe being rescued from the Alvin’s yacht by Owen Firmin. They must make it to the other side of the island to Owen’s yacht. Many obstacles stand in their way and the journey is fraught with run ins with Alvin….he just won’t quit no matter what is done to him. Or so it seems. The journey had my heart racing for the entire time. Will Chloe and Owen make it or will Alvin have his way and kill them both? Or will the jungle do them all in? It was definitely a nail bitter of a read.

Dori Lavelle has written one dark, twisted, captivating story which will keep you white knuckled while finishing the book as fast as you can (preferably in the light of day). Whew…glad that ride is over…it was almost too dark and scary for me!

Of course, having said that….I cannot wait for the next book by Dori!

Wow!! What an ending to a superb series from Dori Lavelle.
Chloe and Owen are on the run from Alvin, who wants to kill them both.
Chloe's finally tells Owen her past and what she did to make Alvin to make him become a psycho. Trust me, when you read what Alvin does to Chloe in all three books, you will agree with me.

Owen is compassionate and forgiving after Chloe lets him in, but will he help her or turn his back on her.

Chloe must fight for her life and heal the wounds of the past. Meanwhile, Alvin/Miles struggles within each other. Who will win out and what sacrifices that will be made?

Dori writes with such passion and her characters come to life with each book she writes. Since this is the ending of this series, there is a HEA.

This series is not a standalone and must be read after the other 2 books of the series:

Ehh save your time...read a good book instead

This review is extremely HARSH and contains mega spoilers. This was obnoxious. Predictably annoying. Owen the true love of Chloe/Kelly's life to the rescue!!! Alvin is dead. Yay. She doesn't have HIV. Yay they all lived happy ever after. Yay. She was repeatedly raped and made love to the rapists alter ego, between the rapes. She is amazing. She survived rape and torture only to fall in love with her rescuer, who happened to be her tormentors best friend, days later. She was so conflicted though until she realized she's never felt the intense feelings of true love prior to falling in love with a man she hated days before. She then "made love" uninhibited and under no duress while still having bandages on her open wounds after surviving torture and rape. I'm sorry. There was Just too much drama and rediculous crap. I don't understand the ratings here. It annoys me that I read this. People will rate garbage 5 stars. Save your time and don't read this series.
Oh and the fight between the multiple personalities. Alvin and miles literally beating the sh!t out of himself. That's stupidly priceless. It wasn't sad it was laughable. I also detested the HIV stigma. This book had everything psych disorders, rape, torture, cancer, AIDS. Billionaires who are charitable. Wild jungle escapes. Yachts. Weapons. Snakes. The only thing missing here was a gay best friend. Oh btw I know what you did last summer...

This is book 3 in this series, and picks up perfectly from where book 2 ended... With Chloe and Owen running for their lives!!!
Now... It's hard not to give spoilers in a book like this, but i'll do my best whilst at the same time... Expressing what a mind blowing read this book is!!!
The dangers of the jungle are nothing compared to the danger of Alvin... But can Miles, his other persona, break through before it's too late?
With constant twists and turns at every page, not only was i reading white knuckled but every emotion possible was running through me as i was reading!!! With a huge shock and tragedy... What will become of them all? Will anyone survive? Can Owen protect Chloe? Or will it be too late?
I could not stop reading as i just had to know what was going to happen next!!! Ms Lavelle has written one hell of a deep, dark read that will keep you captivated as you read!!! A brilliant book and along with the 2 previous books in this series (that you need to read in order), have totally knocked me on my a** and left me breathless at so many points, they made my head spin... I definitely recommend this book if you love a bloody good thriller with a fantastic story!!!... MIND BLOWING!!!

I was given this Great Opportunity by Dori Lavelle to read this book and give an Honest review

First of all this Series was awesome.

I wanted to read the first book but something kept me from reading it. Then Dori gave me the Opportunity to read book 1&2 and now book 3 and Oh My! At first I thought it was the typical love story but I never thought the book was going on a different road lol

Since the beginning I was hooked on the the series. Secrets and Scars was just Perfect. I am sad to what happened to Alvin/Miles but I'm happy that Owen and specialty Chloe found a Happy ending. I understand why Alvin did what he did but he could've done things differently. I Love Miles and Owen its hard to decide one. And the ending pff was Aweeeesoooomeee!! Love Love Love the ending

I'm blowen away with this Series. I Love every part of it and Dori wrote a Perfect Awesome book
Just go and read Dori won't disappoint you and you'll end up Loving this series like we do

Now I'm sad the series is over but I enjoyed every part of it and I will read it over and over again

Love You Dori and thank you for this Awesome Series :*

After finishing book 2 Secrets and Tears I jumped right into Secrets and Lace. I had to know how this series ended. Would Chloe make it out, would she meet her maker, Would Alvin/Miles die, Would she be found. I mean all of these questions were going through my head in book 2 and through the entirety of this book.

Does Owen get Chloe away from her psycho husband or does he catch up to them? I swear Dori has had me on the edge of my seat and on the verge of a heart attack this entire series. i devoured all three of these books in a 24 hour time period. Once you start them you will not want to put them down especially if you are one for DARK reads.

Fantastic 10 star series rating from me. I loved all three of these books. And the ending to the series was bittersweet. Thank You Dori Lavelle for such a roller coaster and heart stopping read that I couldn't put down.

I hate when I really want to LOVE a book, when my expectations are sky high. My brain can't concentrate on what it's supposed to be doing because it knows that third and final book in an explosive series is sitting on my Kindle...but then it can't quite reach that pedestal I've placed there for it.
I was so ready for this book. The first two blew me away. After all the devastation in book 2 I was really expecting this one to be extra dark and gritty. After Chloe's yacht situation I was eager for more from her and Alvin.
Don't get me wrong, there were some moments where I skimmed the paragraph first to see how bad the situation exactly was but on the whole I found it all a bit too slushy and lovey dovey.

Honestly though, I'm giving this a 4 star rating because it nicely rounds of what has been a fab series.

This is the final book in the Fatal Hearts series. You must read the first two books before reading this.

In the heart stopping conclusion we find Chloe running from Alvin. Owen has rescued her but can they both make it safety? Alvin does not make this easy. The whole book I am on the edge of my seat waiting for him to terrify them. Waiting with baited breath to see if they get away.

Once again Ms. Lavelle does a great job of writing a dark story that has some rays of sunshine. She will have you invested in the characters and rooting for a happy ending.

If you like dark, physiological thrillers that keep throwing twists and turns your way then I recommend this series. It will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Really great conclusion to the series!! Most of the book is Chloe and Owen being chased and hiding out, but I was definitely on the edge of my seat waiting for Alvin to pop up. When he did it was nail biting!

The author did a great job wrapping up the series and I'm so glad that after all that heartbreak and angst, Chloe got her happily ever after. It sucks she had to go through all of that gruesomeness, for her to open up and tell people her story. Kind of ironic the way things unfolded for her really. I was surprised by Melanie's confession at the end and how Chloe reacted to it all. You definitely saw her character growth throughout the book. Great series and I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future!

In book 3 of this psychological thriller we pick up right where we left off in book 2. Chloe has escaped Alvin and with the help of Owen is hiding on the island staying barely a step ahead of Alvin. They're trying to get to Owen's yacht to get off the island and away from Alvin but if they succeed what happens next?
I am definitely a fan of Ms. Lavelle and this series rocked!! The characters are well written and the story flows at a extremely fast pace. I couldn't put it down, I read it in one setting. The only complaint I have is that it's not long enough lol. I really appreciate that I get to enjoy this author's work.

This book took a few surprising turns along the way. I felt that, this book is very different from the first two and I loved it. Through out the book I was sitting on the edge wondering how it would end and I am absolutely satisfied. In the book we go through the process of living with your mistake and learning to forgive yourself and learn to live with it. It's not just a story because I can take Chloe's actions and her process of forgivness to my heart. It was a wonderful book over all and very well written. Bravo Dori❤❤

This series had me all over the place. I seriously wanted everything to work out wonderfully but, after everything that happened in the last book, how could it. I am so glad I got to read this series. 4.5 STARS for this book (just because I think the last two were far "more" than this book. The series as a whole get 5+ STARS!!
