God gave you a unique gift set, positioned you in a particular place and time, and planned your sphere of influence with the intention of bringing glory to His name. As you develop your roles in your family, you unlock more of His plan. He tasked no one else but you with being your husband’s wife, and He hasn’t given anyone else except you the responsibility of being mother to your children. Spoiler alert – those assignments begin before we even meet our spouse!
Famous in heaven and at home. That’s what He has called us to unquestionably.
As we dig into Proverbs 31 together, let’s lay down our to-do lists and worldly expectations. Let’s not overlook and undervalue what we can be certain He desires from our lives. Rather than just seeking something worthy to do, let’s passionately pursue who God purposely created us to be.
I read this book with one of my best friends, and it was such a meaningful study to do together! While it can absolutely be done on your own, having someone to discuss the questions with made the book even more impactful.
We went through it over the month of March, reading one chapter a day to complete the 31-day character study. The pace felt very manageable and each chapter was easy to digest. None of the topics felt overwhelming, but many offered a fresh perspective and challenged me in really good ways.
If you’re looking to dive a bit deeper in your walk and reflect on what it looks like to serve God in your home, your marriage, and your daily life, I highly recommend this study on the Proverbs 31 woman.
I give this a 5 for content. Michelle Myers was a joy to read. She is relatable and hilarious and I took so much away from this book. If you are at all interested in the Proverbs 31 woman, this book is the very best resource (outside of the Bible) that I’ve come across.
I will say that I agree with a few other comments that the editing of this book is poorly done. The first half was great but the 2nd half is littered with spelling errors, typos and entire words missing. It’s very distracting, but I didn’t want to take away from what the author actually did.
Hands down THE best teaching on Proverbs 31 I have ever read! I have always looked at this chapter as an impossible to do list for wives but Michelle focuses her teaching on the character of the P31 woman. Very helpful to me!
It's not that it was bad or had terrible information. I just have high expectations for my non-fiction books these days and this was not life-altering. So yes, it was okay.
This devotional was an excellent addition to my daily Bible reading time. As I have put these practices into place, my stress has been reduced, marriage improved, better relationship with my son, and more focus on what's really important.
