Action packed with a strong woman main character and her hapless brother, a prospect with a local MC. She chases her brother to the MC bar where she meets, Roughneck. Roughneck is intrigued with Addy.

Then it starts. Hang on.

I loved the way Adeline "tried" to handle Roughneck. She was convincing for a short period of time until he showed her who was in charge. He wasn't obnoxious or overbearing, but he was all alpha. Adeline just wanted a normal life and to keep her brother safe, but when he got mixed up with The Fallen MC, he got more than he bargained for. Not only does Roughneck have to protect Adeline's brother and deal with his own traitorous brothers, he must protect Adeline while trying to stay alive himself. This book had lots of great action scenes and nail biting moments. This author does a really good job with novellas. I never feel cheated and I always enjoy the stories.

Family

Only 4 stars this time because I loved the story but felt that the ending was rushed & the author fast forwarded too much, when there was plenty of room to write a better ending. While bonus stories are great to include, I still would have enjoyed a better ending. 4 bonus stories cannot make up for a cheap ending to a great story.
Hale, was an awesome biker guy, Adeline, was a cool chick who kept it together during some intense situations. Jared, improves as the story unfolds.

Decidedly average biker book.

predictable, formulaic and meh. Sex scenes were boring.

I'm not sure what oeoole are on about with muktiole pic, there were two pov that of the two main characters.

Didn't really feel a connection, mainly due to the superficiality of the book. So didn't get invested in the characters.

The ending was really ridiculous. All rounded up in an epilogue a year later. Nothing about the club being revived, Jared and how he got on, other than him going into the navy. Its like she couldn't be bothered to finish the book.

A True MC Romance

Nikki Wild's Roughneck is Hale, enforcer of his MC. He meets Adaline, the sister of a knucklehead prospect, and sparks fly between the two. It's a good story overall, but there is a bit of imbalance, given the alternating perspectives, between the love story and the MC business (the attraction to intimacy trajectory is a bit abrupt, and the intimate scenes are good but not scorching). Several unanswered questions remained at the end of the book, mostly about Adaline's life-- the lack of pictures, for a tiny spoiler example.

I liked Roughneck and will read more from this author. I received an advanced review copy for an honest review, which in no way influenced the content of this review.

I like books with an exciting start and a continuous stream of action mixed with a good amount of romance. While this one had an abundance of sex, it also had a pretty decent storyline and the characters were entertaining enough (if not slightly too rage-filled).
Roughneck was at first just as gruff and violent as his "brothers" but then he had a subtle change when he fell for the sister of his young and messed up prospect Ace.
This purchase also includes a couple other books by this author so don't be shocked when it ends at barely 25% on your kindle as there are more books in the file.

I received an ARC for an honest review of "Roughneck." I have read several books by Nikki Wild and for right now, this is my least favorite. While the chemistry was apparent between Hale and Addy, time could have been better spent on the main characters instead of, for instance, Addy eluding her captors in the field and the the biker compound. Too much unnecessary detail! It took away from an otherwise excellent story!

3.5 Stars Hale and Addy's story was full on suspense with many twists along the way. It kept you turning the pages trying to guess what was going to happen next. I normally love all Nikki Wild's books but the abrupt ending of the book disappointed me. I would love to know what happen to everyone and I would also like to see Jared have his own story. Roughneck alone gets a 4, but a 3.5 average for all 5 books total. In Roughneck I couldn't put it down & the suspense throughout it ROCKED!! I loved that Adeline was a fighter & that Hale stayed true to his beliefs. But I'm still not impressed with this author's editor. That's why Roughneck didn't get a good 5.

Hot Damn the things you do for family. Poor Adelaide having to deal with Jared's stupid ass. Then Adelaide meeting Roughneck when she went to help Jared even though he was to dumb to listen. And Dirty and Sly getting Jared involved was to much for Addy to take, but luckily she had Roughneck to help her deal with the crap.

Fast Action MC Book!

Fast action MC read, full of betrayal and danger. A hot, intense and sexy alpha male meets a feisty, intelligent, no nonsense, sexy heroine. A hot steamy and sexy read with H/H end with their HEA. There were bonus stepbrother romance books and a rock star romance book included that were enjoyable quick reads.

Fun read

I really enjoyed this one! I liked the characters and the story. It had steam, action, and romance. We don’t get much club stuff except for the bad guys being traitors. The good half of the club is pretty MIA so if you’re looking for club family and club drama, this one isn’t it. But we do have a protective hero and capable, strong heroine. It was a fun read!

Ms. Wild sure knows how to write a action packed, heart stopping, and sexy as sin book. I loved it. Hale, Roughneck, is so hot, hot, hot that I envy Abby who becomes his girlfriend. Would love to see a book in the future about what happens to Jared, Abby's brother.
