It’s Amateur Night at the Donkey Club and my stepbrothers are watching, their eyes caressing, their hands on their …
Karlie: It wasn’t supposed to happen. I’m a good girl, a photographer, someone who’s always behind the lens, never the center of attention.
And I like it that way, the better to take pictures of my gorgeous stepbrothers, Colt and Cain McKesson. Star players of the Eagles, they’ve got everyone mesmerized with their speed, agility, and complete dominance on the football field … and off.
When they notice me, it’s confusing because I want to explore more, figure out what’s there, but isn’t it wrong? They're my steps and it’s the ultimate taboo.
Colt: Our sister's amazing. My twin and I never thought we’d be living in the same house as a girl this smart and intriguing.
Plus, she’s got a body that rocks, did I mention that?
Karlie’s like a breath of fresh air in the cesspool of professional sports. But when crisis strikes, the football gods want her sacrificed, left out to twist in the wind … but that would mean surrendering ourselves.
Note: This is a standalone book with a guaranteed HEA. This book contains a complimentary copy of Twin Stepbrother Celebrity (The Complete Series).
There is a story, somewhere in this mess. The story is all over the place. We start out with Karlie and Jenny, who is Karlie's best friend, running around a track as she makes a mental note her twin stepbrothers are out with a group, and a hot chick asks one twin out, and he says sure. Next chapter, Karla is making spaghetti the same evening, then a few paragraphs later, she hears the sounds of intimacy in the next room. She goes for the peep show, and gets off perving on her twin brothers double banging the previously mentioned date. It was awkward, and I was expecting some hurt feelings or jealousy, not horny thoughts and self love. I tried to skim a bit and ended up having to skip the chapter, hoping THAT doesn't make a reappearance anywhere.
The next scene is a flashback from the twins first meeting Karlie when their estranged dad mentions he's marrying his secretary, and then the next scene is her going to her mom's boss's house to be surprised with the engagement announcement. That ended up in another awkward fiasco that makes NO sense.
And then we end up outside of Double Donkey with no warning, pretense, or even a casual lead in. I could go no further.... DNF.
I have read manage au toi step romance erotica before, and one are two weren't bad. This? Nope. Drivel. Sex driven hormonal teenager fantasy weirdness......
This is the third book in the 'Double' stepbrothers series and it is a sports themed novella. That being said, you don't have to have a love of sports to love this book by Cassandra....just a love for hot step brothers and a curvy, sexy but shy sister! I really love how Cassandra has managed to keep theses novellas simple yet scorching hot and so different but all around the same theme! This one follows Colton and Cain, MVP football players and Karlie, their new step-sister who seems so sweet and innocent that Colton and Cain decide after meeting her and helping her out of a sticky situation, to leave her be so they wouldn't dirty her. However, things soon become clear that Karlie isn't as sweet or innocent as she seems and a night at the Donkey club reveals more than any of the siblings could imagine and leads to so very steamy scenes!
Again, Cassandra keeps the novella moving at a fast enough pace that you don't get stuck into too many details. It's short but sexy and well worth a read. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next and where the infamous Donkey club will appear!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review
This book was really hard to rate. I went back and forth between one star and two star. I never give out one star reviews so I was relunctant to give this one such a low review, but on the other hand this book was pretty bad. I finally decided to stick to two stars because at least I could finish it.
The story had a lot of potential, but it just fell flat. The story just jumped all over the place and at times confusing because it was not clear how much time has elapsed since the last paragraph or chapter. And the jumping to the past was just not done in a manner that gave the story any smooth flow. This book on the cover is described as a sports romance, however there was really no romance. The "romantic happy ending" was done quickly and seemed a little forced. It seemed like an afterthought and not really an important part of the story.
Double Donkey by Cassandra Dee was a hot and steamy 5 star read.
We meet Colt and Cain, twin brothers and Karlie their step sister. Karlie is a photographer and her step brothers are football players.
When they discover their attraction to each other things really heat up. Karlie has a nice and naughty side which her brothers discover in a great way. Loved it!
I really enjoyed the story line and I look forward to reading more from the series. This can be read as a stand alone and we do get to see a HEA.
I received this for my honest review. These are stories that has the ménage angle, this one is with Colt and Cain as the stepbrothers who fall in love with their step sister Karlie. This is a love that is much more than just brotherly love, it is deep love with added filth just the sort that you expect from Cassandra Dee. The story is another Donkey Club plot and they keep getting better and better. Karlie is a photographer, things develop between them all and soon she feels she is over her head. Things take a bad turn for them but can the men save her and will they give up their profession to save the woman they love if need be..........
But..... Let me get this straight. I have no problem with stepbrothers and sisters getting together. Mostly they are not really raised together. What I have a problem with was the overuse calling each other by not their names but by brothers etc. Even after they got together. It seemed the writer wanted to keep reminding the reader that there was the technical side of the characters. Come on real brothers and sisters don't even go around calling each other that. They actually use the person's real given name. Other than that, it could have been a story with real erotic scenes. It was almost like a car accident, you just couldn't stop reading.
The characters are okay, they do mesh well, and the sexy times can get a bit heated.
I loved the idea of the identical twins!!
The Bothers/Sister thing really put a damper on the overall heat intensity though. I was surprised that when the twins and Karlie do get together sexually it is glossed over to hurry the story along.
I felt that the story jumped a few times leaving me a little confused wondering if Id missed something.
Although it was an entertaining story, I was not entirely won over.
Karlie is a photographer. She is a smart woman and she's good at what she does. Karlie likes to take pictures of of her step brothers Colt and Cain. Colt and Cain star players for the Eagles. Colt and Cain have feelings for Karlie but not sure on if she has the same feels for them after all they are step siblings. Until one night at the donkey club. I loved the story line and plot. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Between the jumping story to the bad lynessa used words this book is shocking. It started out with so much promise until the author jumped back in time without warning. The book itself is all over the place. There is no flow. The words used to describe the sex and that pulls you completely out of the story. This is one author I won't be reading again.
Another Donkey Club story with some sexy step brother twins. What gets much hotter than twin step vrothers, twin step brothers who play ball! Karlie thinks so to. A good read all together, but especially when you need something hot and steamy! I recieved this book for an honest review.
If you Like to read Taboo stories then this is your story. Karlie was the new girl in high school,.new step sister to two hot alpha twin brothers. what do you do when you are drawn to each other and how will everyone react when it all comes out.
This book is shocking poor! Who the hell has a 15" penis!!! The characters are unbelievably odd and the story line is beyond fiction! Star Trek is more believable. Don't bother.
Wow.....This book won't be relevant in a year. Very hipster trendy. Not only are the characters teenagers but it's written in the style of a teenager. Very disappointed since I usually enjoy this authors work.
I wanted to like this book. But the sex was just eh. The scene with the twins and another girl yes, but when it came time for sex with Karlie it was fade to black. So disappointing IMO. Add the "angst" wasn't really angst worthy nor the timeline meeting up properly.
This way a super quick hot read. If you like the taboo stories, you will love this one! Another touchdown for Cassandra Dee!!!! Looking forward to the next book from this author.
I love the Authors other stories but her step stories would be better if she didn’t shove the brother/sister thing into every line. Like I read the back and I read the blurb I knew what I was reading but, to have the characters just constantly disregard the characters names and refer each other as brother or sister became irritating and it made me not want to read the book. It’s not realistic I call my siblings by their names. 🤦🏽♀️ It was almost like she needed to remind the reader of the the characters relationship. It was unnecessary because she’s a damn good writer and she painted a vivid picture. It became a drinking game after the 4th stepbrother book because I took a shot every time one of them called each other brother or sister. If the author ever reads this please stop 🛑 writing like this. You are too talented for it. I would have gave it 5 stars ✨ if she would have stopped the constant reminders in the first chapter.
I got so confused and frustrated. There was a lot of jumping around, missing backstories, random event change from one side to the other. I didn't enjoy the writing style since it couldn't 'get me'. I was hopeful with the story but it just felt short. I didn't bother to read the added book behind and it and basically deleted it from my library collection immediately. The only saving grace maybe is that I finished it till the end but didn't bother with reading more. I still have other books of her's that I'm now hesitant to read her other works that other readers recommended to me.
