Another awesome and wonderful story in Rocky Ridge,CO. I loved this unique story involving identical twins who could switch roles with anyone and no on knew the difference.
This was a good advantage for Elizabeth when her sister Sarah gets a letter from her long-lost beau asking her to come to Rocky Ridge to be his wife. He didn’t know Sarah was never in love with him but Elizabeth was and so since Sarah said she wasn’t going Elizabeth went in her place.
I think this is a unique story since I have never read one where a twin that loves the hero goes in place of the one, he asked. In fact, I don’t think I have read any twin stories before so I loved this one
See what happens when she gets off the stage and our hero is right there ready and waiting for this day he has planned and worked so hard for the six years after surviving the Civil War.
You have to read this wonderful and amazing story yourself because I don’t want to give all away but you will love it.
Romance or not in the historical western town? Come and find out in this five-star story.

Elizabeth is an identical twin and often when she was young she would switch places with her twin and have an adventure and it was just plain fun too. Now as an adult she again takes her twin's place when Cole, a young man she has loved sends for her sister to be his bride as a Substitute Bride. She travels to Colorado and admits the truth just before the wedding and he marries her anyway.

The plot continues as she becomes the best frontier wife she can in hopes Cole will come to love her and not her twin. I loved that she used her childhood nickname of Bee and how determined she was and how hard she worked. The plot came to a head when her twin showed up with her Aunt and Cole makes his wishes known. Bee realized early in the plot that she has to confess her deception, tries to make things right and becomes very likeable to the end of the plot. I enjoyed the emotional level of the story.

Absolutely loved it!! Sweet Bea has loved Cole since they were both kids. From the onset, they appeared to have more in common than Bea's twin, which unfortunately was the one Cole fell in love with and wanted to wed. No surprise with the twin stories, they switch identities and the Bea ends up married to Cole. Throughout their journey, Cole falls in love with Bea since he realised she was truly his help and soul mate...and HEA. I loved the story for the simplicity and lack of drama. Too many novels now draw you into complicated, complex twists and turn to culminate into a HEA. So, was very grateful for Margery's sweet simple contribution with a kind and decent cast. I was able to read this e-book in one night and it left a happy smile on my face.

Did he marry the wrong twin?

Elizabeth, nicknamed Bee and Sarah are identical twins. Cole had loved Sarah his whole life, but was good friends with Bee. He left for the war, then went out west to build his ranch with brother Quinn.

Sarah never truly loved Cole. Bee, however, did with her whole heart. When Sarah receives a letter from Cole after six years of silence, asking her to join him and get married, she disregards it. Bee has other ideas, and acts on them.

This was a very good story, but I could have done without the smattering of curse words. No sexual scenes, but there were innuendos of Cole's thoughts.

So sickeningly sweet you'll get a toothache

She's freaking Snow White. She slaves away in a kitchen and homestead everyday. And she sings. I've watched my mom cook on a wood stove. I've carried enough water to fill a tub before and I've washed clothes by hand. None of that is fun and living like a pioneer is some of the hardest work you will ever do. Of course, he loves her she's freaking perfect.

Twin trouble

Cole and Quinn had left for the war and never returned. Twins, Sarah and Elizabeth, knew they had gone West to Colorado to break their fortune, but without any communication, neither held much hope of seeing their childhood friends again. Sarah had been Cole's sweetheart before the war, while Elizabeth loved him both when close and distant, because the girls often traded placid.

Love me - love me not

This was an interesting story that kept me reading almost all night. I had to find out what was going to happen. I think it was not as realistic as it was just fun to follow the thoughts and actions of the people as they tried to figure out their true feelings. Of course a little honesty spoken sooner might have worked better but the book would have been shorter! Enjoy.

Loved the book which had some humor that I liked too. Cole Berringer had worked very hard to marry Sarah Main after six years and sent her a letter asking her to marry him. To his surprise arrives Elizabeth which is Sarah's twin. Cole still married Elizabeth. Just when it was going well Sarah arrives and Elizabeth wonders if Cole still has feeling for her sister and if her love for him is enough for her.

My only complaint is that it wasn’t as long as I would have liked. When her twin says she has no interest in accepting a marriage proposal from an old beau, Elizabeth decides she will go to Colorado and pose as her twin, Sarah and marry rancher Cole Barringer. She goes, marries and what happens next makes for one cute story with a feel good ending.

Sweet story about a woman who travels across the country to marry the man she loves who actually proposed to her twin sister. She confesses her deception before they marry but he marries her anyway out of anger at her sister. And the rest of the story is is about her hopes that he will fall in love with her and him trying to overcome his feelings of betrayal. A light, quick read.

Honesty finds true love

I loved the story, I loved the characters, I loved the setting. It checked all my boxes! It was romantic but not vulgar, it’s setting was to dream about. I loved the details in the story. It was a perfect book for me, I’ll think about Bee and Cole for days to come. Hank you for a fairytale of a story!

Enjoyable and Fast-Paced

This is a "sweet" romance as in no sex, violence or bad language, but there is nothing cloying about it. The plot is intriguing, the flawed characters grow naturally, and the story moves at a good pace with no slow parts. A few predictable bits at the end kept this from 5 stars, but it is definitely worth a read.

Cole after six years away writes to his childhood sweetheart and asks her to marry him. However, her twin sister Bee is the one who loves him. When her sister doesn’t respond to him Bee does. She travels west to marry him under pretending to be her sister. However she can’t marry him without telling him her secret.
An unusual but enticing book.

The wrong sister

Cole sent for Sarah to marry him. He had been away for six years and built a home for them. The only problem wss that her twin sister, Bee, showed up. He married Bee because the town was there for the wedding. Would Cole ever love Bee, especially when Sarah shows up to marry him.months later. This us a very nice story.

Elizabeth's Choice

Elizabeth, known as Bee, was in love with her twin sister's choice of men. When Sarah refused to travel out West to marry him, Bee took a chance and went in her place. How she'd work things out and make Cole love her instead would be the real challenge.

She loved him since they were playmates. But he told her twin he would come back and marry her. He waited 6 years. The war, purchasing propertyy and working the land. Now after 6 years he had everything ready. So he wrote her a letter and asked her to marry him

Cole and Bee

Good story and characters. Well written with many revealing aspects of Cole and Bee and her love for him. Would liked to have had a little more romance but we can't have everything. Would highly recommend this series and it is a clean romance with a good storyline.

Exciting

Exciting that one would take to going out west but the deceit was bad to live with. Identical twins, I can remember one set playing switch games, someone always got hurt. I love the power of forgiveness, lots of that in this story.

Quick Read

Love books that are historical and describe the area in which they take place. The descriptions of the Colorado ranches and mountains are beautiful. The characters, while predictable, have some endearing qualities. A very quick read.

This was sweet but the characters were a little boring in how sweet and understanding they were. There wasn't much conflict/development beyond Bee's deception.
